He is aware that his protocol is different from the last time he was "active"—and whoever created him had the intent of using him as a weapon. However, he is quite certain that those who repurposed him had similar intent. The Garleans ( ☠ ) - Salvagers of the Past He is aware that his operative has been altered somehow by the Garleans, but their intent other than to aid "the Weapon" is unclear to him and a portion of his system has been damaged in the collapse of the Praetorium. He is aware of Ultima and it's purpose and knows his intended purpose was similar—his premature awakening and the destruction of Ultima, however, have left him without further orders and with only recollection that he was meant to take orders from "someone" — whoever that "someone" may be, however, is unknown to him. "The Girl" ( ? ♥ ) - The First Order A remnant of memories from a distant, Sharlayan (?) past. There was a girl, whose memory in his mind is a damaged blur (detected intentional expunging of her data from his memory banks.) He understands a warm and protective feeling toward her, but he is also painfully aware that she is from a time many hundreds of years ago. Her voice carried his first operational prompt: "what do you feel?" Use sparingly or ask first! ☄ "He just wandered into town talking about fire in Thanalan. What else is new out in that desert?" — Vendor in Mor Dhona. ☄ "He's knowledgable, but at the same time, a bit of a twit. He laughs at the wrong times and doesn't take offense when I think ought to. Saw it once when I tended to a wound on his shoulder—those scales...? Believe me when I say it, they are indeed metal plates. He is no Au'Ra. Some kind of automaton, surely. Player Character Rumors -Some of these are more rare than others! ☄ Add a rumor? R O L E P L A Y   H O O K S Some ideas for roleplay, maybe? Don't be afraid to come up to Viz IC, he's almost always in-character and very open to interaction! The Automaton in Mor Dhona ✩ He doesn't eat or drink, but he seems to hang around in taverns just watching people or reading a book. Most come to taverns for drink or food, he seems to get his sustenance from voices and the presence of others. ✩ People put off by his appearance—he looks Au'Ri from a distance, but up close, you'll see that his scales are actually metal plates and his skin like some kind of plastoid. He's unusual and otherworldly. Some may be very uneasy around him, others may be quite intrigued. ✩ He appears out of nowhere, seemingly, to assist adventurers in combat-need. He tends to disappear quickly after. Some are familiar with the "red sentinel" who comes in and fades away like a protective ghost. ✩ He once picked up a small job at a Mor Dhonan bakery, when he was told that was what people do, they get jobs. So he worked there and he was absolutely awful at it. It seems he carries a culinary curse, in that anything edible he touches comes out awful... not for a lack of trying, at least. ✩ Being an automaton who does not sleep, he has a lot of time on his hands to assist adventurers in need. Should you be seeking a mercenary hand in the dungeons, he will likely help. The Red Sentinel ✩ If you've ever been lost in a dungeon, separated from your party, and thought that surely, this creature towering over you will be your end—until a ghostly red spectre came to your aid—you may have brushed an encounter with Vision. He's often wandering dungeons alone, avoiding conflict when he can, to research the history of abandoned places. Oddly enough, he seems to "fade in" and "fade out" of sight, just like a ghost...
