L I K E S ■ Chocobos: Cosette has spent her entire life around chocobos. Her family has a long history of being hunters and ranchers of chocobos of all sizes and colors, and she has upheld the tradition. The easiest way to rile her up is to mistreat a 'bo in her eyesight. ■ Whiskey: She's got a bad habit of drinking more whiskey than she can reasonably handle, which, when compounded with her naturally thin temper, makes her a mean drunk. That doesn't mean she doesn't love the stuff, though. ■ Axes: Cosette's chosen 'weapon', she's fond of them in all shapes and sizes. Her own waraxe is a massive single-headed cleaver of a thing, more useful for sheer crushing power than cutting strength. ■ Family: She has a strong sense of familial duty, especially considering how out in the wilds of Dravania, family is all she's been able to rely on. Cosette is viciously protective of her parents and siblings. ■ Vengeance: Unbeknownst to even her closest friends, Cosette is one of Ishgard's loathed dark knights. As such, she gets a sick sense of pleasure from bringing those who think themselves above the law to justice - it's unfortunate for them that her form of justice is often at the end of a blade.	D I S L I K E S ■ The Supreme Sacred Tribunal of Halonic Inquisitory Doctrine: The abuses of the Halonic Inquisition have long set Cosette against them, especially given her status as a dark knight. She's loathe to believe they've turned over a new leaf in the aftermath of the Dragonsong War, and holds a grudge a malm wide towards any Inquisitors. ■ Congregation of Our Knights Most Heavenly: To a very similar end, Cosette has no lost love for the Temple Knights. Just as abusive and corrupt as any other, she's made many an enemy amongst them in her armored alter-ego of Ser Brumault. ■ The Dravanian Horde: Living in Dravania has given Cosette a front row seat to the actions of the Horde. Even the so-called 'friendly' dragons of Anyx Trine have been known to kill hunters that trespassed - and Cosette doesn't much care for them, regardless of Ishgard's stance. ■ The Gnath: Much like the dragons, the Gnath prove to be a constant danger for anyone ranging across the Forelands. While she is cautiously friendly to the Vath and their newly founded adventurer's guild, the Gnath are spared no such luxury.	Q U I R K S ■ Foul Mouth: Cosette has a very bad habit of mouthing off the moment she gets even a little angry. She's got a vocabulary built over the years of being poor and lower than lowborn, and it's detailed enough to make any maiden blush in horror. ■ Chocobo Knowledge: She has a hard time not getting into long, detailed conversations about chocobo raising at the slightest opportunity. Her wide breadth of knowledge can sometimes overwhelm a person. ■ Ser Brumault: Cosette tries very hard to keep her life as a rancher and as a dark knight separate - to the point of binding her chest down and wearing heavy armor to masquerade as the knight Ser Brumault, a male Wildwood. So far, none of her friends know the truth.
S T R E N G T H S ■ Axe Wielding: Cosette has trained for years in using heavy waraxes in combat and as tools. While she's small for an elezen, she can wield the mighty crushing and cleaving weapons with deadly efficiency, allowing her to carve a path through even heavily armored opponents with ease. Even though the favored weapon of the dark knight is the greatsword, Cosette tends to stick to her tried and true waraxes. ■ Dark Knighthood: Thanks to training underneath Ser Dyri, Cosette is one of the dark knights of Ishgard, and has all the skill and prowess that comes with that title. She's capable with a greatsword, and can use her inner darkness as a weapon against any who oppose her. Much like her contemporaries, she manifests the darkness within as blasts and red-purple fields of aether. ■ Archery: In her usual job as a chocobo hunter and rancher, Cosette and her family are trained in using longbows to hunt the wild birds throughout the Chocobo Forest. She's also skilled at making traps and snares for large creatures, but primarily for the 'bos she's made a living off of. She's not a stellar shot, certainly no sniper, but is competent enough to hold her own in a shootout.	W E A K N E S S E S ■ Pain Numbness: Cosette has undergone quite a few grievous injuries in her lines of duty. As such, her normal pain responses are slow and dulled - which means she often gets hurt more than she needs to. Cosette reacts to wounds with anger more than fear. ■ Hair Trigger: In both of her guises, Cosette has a temper that could make a berserker hesitate. She is easily angered and taunted, and reacts with extreme violence instead of thinking things through with a rational head. ■ Secret Identity: Should anyone ever figure out that Ser Brumault and Cosette Guilloux are the same person, it's very likely they'd target her family and friends in order to get revenge on her. She's terrified that it might happen, so she keeps the two of them strictly separate...so far.	M O T I V A T I O N S ■ Justice for they who have none: As a dark knight, it is Cosette's solemn duty to bring justice and peace to the oppressed and downtrodden. She hunts those who think themselves above the law, and shows them that no, they are not. It is hard for her to let a wrong go unrighted, especially when the victim has no means to seek recompense. ■ Do it for the birds: When she's not out killing people, Cosette spends most of her time making sure that every chocobo in a five malm radius is well kept and taken care of. She's come to Eorzea to see if her family can make more of a profit selling directly to the city states, though that remains to be seen.

N P C   Dureimont Guilloux (♥ ✖) ( NPC ) - Eldest Dureimont was the eldest son of the Guilloux family, who left several years prior to the Calamity to seek out a cure for the chocobo plague that was devastating the family trade. Instead of a cure, he found Moonfall. Since the impact of Dalamud, none of the Guilloux family have heard from Dureimont, and he is presumed dead. Prior to his unfortunate death, he was a talented conjurer, known best for his ability to heal any wound brought before him.   Lazare Guilloux (♥ ✖) ( NPC ) - Youngest Lazare, the youngest of the Guilloux family, left to become a squire to a knight of House Hallienarte after the Calamity. While he would routinely visit his family back home, his knight master was killed by a dragon during the battle for the Steps of Faith. Lazare became a wandering soldier after that, eventually joining the Convictors in the Western reaches of Coerthas. Unfortunately for the young lad, he met his untimely end at the hands of a mysterious mage, whom turned his entire body into a crystalline statue, along with many other Ishgardian citizens.   Dyri Swordcatcher (✔ ♥ ♠) ( NPC ) - Mentor Ser Dyri the Swordcatcher, formerly a Knight of the Barracuda, currently a dark knight of Ishgard, has not been seen in almost two years. He took only two students in his time as a knight, Cosette Guilloux and Grale Stonegraze. Cosette owes the midlander greatly, but her abrasive personality clashed heavily with his more restrained one. While she might worry about his disappearance, she has no desire to seek the man out.   Grale Stonegraze (♠ ♠ ✖) ( NPC ) - Asshole Cosette's youthful anger caused her to butt heads heavily with the other student of Dyri, Grale. The older swordsman found her childish and petty, and when their mentor went missing, was enraged that Cosette didn't appear to care. The last time she saw the man, he was dead, helping someone get out of the Holy See. P C   Lorelei Blanchard (♦) - Lore Lei During her teenage years, Cosette would often watch Lorelei for her family while they were away, acting as an ad hoc babysitter of sorts for the midlander girl. Once they both grew past that, the two of them remained close friends. Cosette's kept her secret life as a dark knight away from Lore, and has no intentions of telling her. The two of them can be quite the sight if they ever get into an argument, with the irritable machinist and Cosette's equally short tempers making for explosive entertainment.   Lancelaux Fiermont (♠) - Heretic The Guilloux and Fiermont families at one point worked closely together in the chocobo trade, with the Guilloux ranchers providing the birds to the Fiermont breeders and sellers. Lancelaux and Cosette met many times as children, and maintained a healthy friendship...until his family was discovered to be heretics, and the lot of them were put to the sword. Lance himself was presumed killed by a former lover, and Cosette's family was put under heavy watch by the Inquisition. She's never quite forgiven him for what happened, even though she thinks him dead.   Sage Emeraude (♠ ♠) - Coward Sage, Lieutenant of the Twin Adder, has earned Cosette's ire. She views the Lieutenant as a cowardly person who shames the name of the dark knighthood, and she'd like nothing more than to put and end to the sham. As it is, she has just slightly too much respect for the one who trained her to do so, but that won't stop her from assaulting Sage, verbally or otherwise.   Laille Ouraux (♦) - Wandering Soul Laille was more friends with Cosette's younger brother, Lazare, than her. Despite that, the two women have a shared a few peaceable meetings with each other - prior to her younger brother's death at the hands of a mysterious magi. While Laille's speech is often flowery and ornate to the point of confusion for Cosette, she thinks highly of the former dragoon - highly enough to offer her assistance whenever it's needed.   Eminette Valtinne (●) - Dark Knight Cosette's not entirely sure what Eminnette's deal is. The two of them are recent acquaintances, having met only several suns prior, but the eagerness that the taller woman presented towards her family business puts Cosette ill at ease. She's familiar with the role of the dark knights, obviously, but is wary of anyone who claims allegiance to the Temple Knights, formerly or otherwise. In Eminnette's favor, however, is her clearly noble heart and pleasant demeanor - and her slightly flirtatious dialogue.
