Character

A young Miqo'te taken in by a couple of Hyur former adventurers from an unknown land when she was a mere infant, hence why her name is so unusual compared to other Miqo'te. Even those close to her know very little about her, because she prefers to not share memories of her somewhat uneventful childhood, and has only recently reached adulthood. The couple who took in Crystal taught her from a young age to be proud of how she looks, because she was, in their words "a unique individual", this lead to Crystal wearing more revealing attire as she entered puberty, and she still wears very little to this day. Crystal quickly realised she was a lesbian, as she would frequently peek on the women of Forgotten Springs as they bathed, getting aroused from simply watching them, and had a short-lived relationship with a young woman from there as well.

Having trained in various forms of combat, she is highly skilled, but tends to prefer combat styles that lean more toward the arcane, particularly the destructive path of Thaumaturgy, but dabbles in forms of melee combat as well. Despite her choice in minimalist clothing, Crystal is a skilled Weaver, capable of crafting elaborate garments for both her own use and her clientele.

History

Found in the vast expanse of Southern Thanalan's Sagolii Desert as an infant by a couple of Hyur former adventurers hailing from some unknown land, the Miqo'te infant was given the name Crystal Schroeder, after the couple were unsuccessful in finding her parents, who most assume either abandoned her, were taken by slave traders, or were killed. Raised as if she was their own child, Crystal was showered in affection, but once she became a teenager, she wanted to be like them, and be an adventurer, the couple put her under harsh training, knowing that she would need to know how to fight, although she showed natural aptitude for the arcane arts, she was trained in various weapons as well, showing the most promise with daggers and greatswords. On her 18th birthday, Crystal and her surrogate parents parted ways, as they resumed their adventuring life, and Crystal began hers.

Personality

Quiet and withdrawn, Crystal keeps to herself mostly, but is more than willing to help others or accept help from others and is very quick to call out someone if they're holding the group back, or are generally being a nuisance. Despite growing up in a city known for idolizing money, Crystal scoffs at anyone who brags about their wealth, seeing it as an act of arrogance. She is still quiet around her companions, but if they strike up a conversation, she's glad to converse, she'll even slip in little quips if the opportunity presents itself, but never means ill will with her jabs.
