:::It was couple of days after Domans were gone. Thanalan's scorching sun was at the highest. A'bann had to call a day from hunting early as well, since it was fatal to even a healthy Miqo'te to go around with this heat. When A'bann got back, he noticed A'bashi was missing from his bed. It was not rare to see A'bashi take a walk once in awhile, but A'bann felt something was amiss this time. He quickly found out tribe people saw A'tovak took A'bashi on a "hunting trip" but only A'tovak came back alone. A'bann barged into A'tovak's room, demanded him to tell what have he done to A'bashi. A'tovak grinned, and simply said that there was an accident and they got separated so A'tavok came back alone, leaving A'bashi behind. A'bann growled that if he was supposed to believe that. Only answer came back was 'It can happen to you too'. It was clearly a warning.

Character

General

A'bann Tia is a Ninja from Doma, although his clan does not exist anymore as it ran over by Garlean force. He came to Eorzea before huge population of Doman refugees moved in. As a sole survival of his clan, he eventually found himself going against Garlean Empire once again at the side of Eorzean city-states alliances. It is not clear whether he's doing it for revenge of his fallen comrades or for the greater good of Eorzea. His general custom and accented Doman suggests he was indeed originally from somewhere in Eorzea, but he won't tell much about how he ended up in Doma as he feels strongly attached to his Ninja clan as a true home.

Personality

- A'bann was a reticent Miqo'te from very young age. Perhaps he's like that because of all those training days from Doma, or maybe even earlier, when he had to take care of his sick brother alone. Either way, it left him with very little room for self pity. He might look like a hard-to-approach-type but he does care about other people. His lack of communication skill, however, often puts him into an unwanted or misunderstood situation.

-He is very focused and professional when it comes to "dagger job", but when those battlefield qualities carry over to casual life it bound to create discord. Although he loves his newly acquired freedom as an adventurer, and he doesn't seem to quite adjust or even understand this life style. For some people he might look like he's way too serious and paranoid over silly little things.

-He prefers female as a romantic partner but always seem to end up with guys so far.

-If there's anything that will make him lose his cool, it would be about his little brother or ninja comrades who were brutally murdered. Also, Eiai Airi. She makes A'bann smile.

Abilities and Skills

With Daggers

When A'bann was forced to hunt and make living for 2 people as a kid, his physical strength left him with narrow choice of weapons he could choose from. With trial and error, light and swift dagger was his best fit and now he can wield them as if they are his own limbs.

As a Machinist

A'bann wouldn't really consider himself as a fully dedicated machinist, but sees it more as a hobby that he picked up while visiting Ishgard. His long time trained dexterous skill transferred well with handling sensitive mechanical equipment and now it's one of few things A'bann can sink his time into with joy. He will occasionally put aside his daggers and pick up the firearm, when he feels like to.

Mia took A'bann in and helped him every way so he can adjust to the casual life style...so he doesn't starve to death, or end up in a jail. It took long enough, but at least now A'bann knows when a girl approaches him with blush on her face, he knows this person is less likely to be a Garlean assassin. After teaching A'bann how to craft so he can make living for himself, Mia decided to leave Eorzea to seek out more opportunities to make money. History/Timeline

Childhood

Being a big brother
A'bann was born in somewhere in Thanalan, as a member of a branched out Antelope tribe. When A'bann was 10 years old, his biological father, tribe's Nuhn at the time, got killed in duel against A'tovak Tia. With A'tovak as a new Nuhn, the tribe started to run under strict rule of only the strong hunters may survive. The tribe demanded high amount of quota from each hunters every day and only those who meet or exceed it may get enough proportion of food and daily necessities. Weak, old or injured Miqo'tes were bound to starve to death eventually. A'bann had to hunt for himself at the very young age in order to survive.
A'bashi Tia, who was few years younger than A'bann, was one of those weak members of the community. He was born weak so had to spend most of time in bed. He could not hunt for himself and had no one to take care of him. A'bann, for some reason, took sympathy for A'bashi and doubled his quota to help him survive. A'bann just started to show up everyday at A'bashi's house and shoved him some foods and medication and left without even A'bashi can thank him properly. A'bashi always thought A'bann was a scary person but this changed A'bashi's opinion about him. They eventually got chance to sit down and talk as they started to become close. As time passed, they spent whole day together when A'bann wasn't out for hunting. (Although it was mostly A'bashi talking about books he read during the day and A'bann just listening.)
A'bashi maybe was weak, but he was also quick to catch up on what people were thinking. As they spend more time together he could figure out that A'bann never saw this place as a home, and wanted to get out from here one day. A'bashi felt he's the one chained A'bann in this place. He felt guilt swarming up on him. One night, A'bashi gathered enough courage to ask A'bann why he decided to help A'bashi even though he's weak and useless. A'bann simply replied that he doesn't see anything wrong with being weak, so A'tovak's method simply didn't make sense to A'bann, and that was all.
Other than that, if there's anything good out of the situation, the harsh environment trained A'bann into one of the top hunters of the tribe by the time he became a teenager.

Doman Travelers
The Nuhn of the tribe, A'tovak never liked those two boys. A'bashi was a dysfunctional burden to the tribe that needed to be get rid of in his eyes. A'bann, on the other hand, A'tovak was afraid that A'bann might kill him and take away Nuhn position once he becomes stronger, like A'tovak did to A'bann's father. Also A'bann didn't talk much, so it was hard to figure out what he was thinking, made A'tovak worry grow day by day.
One day, a group of Doman travelers came to tribe and asked permission to pass the tribe land. A'tovak demanded a lot in return, resulting those Doman travelers stuck in desert, not knowing what to do.
Although A'tovak strictly forbade tribe members to help them, it didn't stop A'bann from approach those foreigners with curiosity. The Domans were nice enough not to shoo off this curious kid. Instead they shared a story about their home, Doma. Without saying anything too detailed, they revealed themselves as members of a certain clan, and were here for a mission so they got to go back to their home in hurry to finish it. They also took pity in A'bann's situation and even asked him if he wanted them to take him to somewhere more maternal environment. A'bann felt like he could do anything to get out from the tribe for a second, but had to decline the offer since he can't possibly leave A'bashi alone. A'bann thanked them for telling him about world outside and even offering a help. In return, A'bann showed a way around so they can sneak pass the tribe land without being noticed.
It didn't take long time for A'tovak to find out who helped those Doman travelers. Domans leaving Itself was not a big deal, but A'tovak did not like this at all. A'bann starting to ignoring his order was a bad sign. Eventually A'tovak reached to a point of thought where he had to do something drastic to make an example out of this kid.

End of the Line
