While she appears to be a stern and hard woman, she has an unabashed fondness for things that are cute. ■ Despite her lack of education, she comes across as insightful and somewhat clever. ■ It might be difficult to determine where her loyalties lie. About Born in a small village north of Alabathia's Spire, Blazing was the second daughter of three, and had no aetherial abilities. She did, however, display a powerful aptitude for martial arts and trained in hand to hand combat before picking up the axe. At the age of fourteen she left her home as many Hellsguard do, shedding her birth name and taking on the name 'Blazing Aurora'. After leaving she arrived in Ul'dah and signed onto various mercenary companies over the cycles. At first her aim was to make a name for herself. As time grew on she became bored of trying to draw attention to herself, and desired instead to find a place to settle for a time. At the moment she has no clear goal, she simply wants to find things that relieve the ever growing boredom within her. At the present she's signed onto the Hearth and Anvil free company. Despite her propensity for teasing the founder, she seems to have a startling loyalty toward the place. The reason she states is because they're allowing someone with a twisted personality like her to stick around and she's appreciative. It is doubtful that is the true or full story. Notes: ■ No one besides her family or anyone from her home village should know her birth name. She has never revealed it. PERSONALITY Calm and collected, little gets under Blazing's skin. While good at provoking others due to her abrasive personality, she tends to either ignore attempts to provoke (especially in battle. She simply won't acknowledge it) or will find them amusing. Alignment: Type 1 Chaotic Neutral. While not malicious or cruel, almost everything Blazing does to or toward a person is based on self-interest. Mostly: Will it relieve her boredom in any way? Is the conversation stimulating? Does this benefit her in any fashion? If the answer to those is 'no', she instantly becomes disinterested, crude, and will even outright ignore others. She doesn't care about being nice to people normally, and certainly doesn't care if people like or dislike her. People she likes are those she treats kindly. Strangers are treated with indifference, potential sign-ons to the company are treated with slightly less indifference. While not an open book she's not one to be closed lipped about her past, save for anytime before she came to Eorzea. What she enjoys doing most is watching people, preferably watching them make fools of themselves. Bar fights, a rejected proposal or lovers quarrel, misunderstandings between friends that have become public displays, Blazing finds other people's misfortunes amusing to watch. Not so much the misfortune itself, but in how individuals deal with the situation, how they react. When bored or when an opportunity presents itself, she will sometimes instigate minor altercations and misunderstandings with others, but generally they are no more than harmless pranks at best. As a fighter, Blazing also gets rushes from battle and enjoys a good spar. One thing she is generally eager for is a good, sporting match. Please note that I am very open to violence and am not beyond having my character sport an injury for days to weeks on end. However! Dismemberment, permanent damage, and even death needs to be spoken about prior in vivid detail/discussion before anything will ever occur IC. ■ Freeform/Honor System: I will only acknowledge the honor system with people I trust or know won't be literal jerks in RP. I will often request the basic roll system (See t1) for fights with people I do not truly know but am willing to Freeform/Honor system it if you can prove you are not going to just Naruto/Bleach up the fight as well as avoid EVERYTHING thrown at you, even within less then an inch of the attack. OOC NOTES OOC INFORMATION Player Note I have a very clear distinction when it comes to OOC/IC. They must remain separate at all times if we are to RP together, especially on an extended basis and I reserve the right to end interactions should this be impeded upon. I've been burnt heavily by people mistaking IC care and OOC friendship and attention with romantic regard and honestly I don't wish to go through another such debacle once more. If my character dislikes yours that does not mean I hold the same sentiment. If my character loves yours that does not translate to me feeling the same for you, though I might feel a platonic equivalent. I am not my characters and they are not me. Personal RP Limits I don't have very many hardcore limits honestly as I feel consequences must be adhered to when RPing any character regardless of whom they might be. However there are a few exceptions to this and they are as follows. ■ I will play Almost anything that isn't described below. ■ I won't play Death, Rape, Maiming, ERP only Plots. I don't mind romance but it needs to be earned and respected. Do not try and force your character on to mine. If I feel this is the case I will quickly end the RP and speak with you OOCly to either correct the issue or end the RP connection between the two in a faithful manner both parties can agree upon.
