She will tell you, if asked, that she is fighting for Ala Mhigo. In her heart, this is true: young when the King went mad and the Garleans took her nation, the woman who would call herself DELIAL GRIMSONG devoted herself to the pursuit of peace by sniffing out and destroying its oppressors where they lurk in the heart of beloved Ala Mhigo. It was not long before she earned herself the name of KINSLAYER, a mantle she has worn ever since the house of BLACKSTONE fell to ruin. It was necessary, she will tell you. Every man bleeds the same.
Grimsong has led a busy and tumultuous life since being brought into Eorzea: former agent of the Garlean Banurein, bane of a Resistance cell that sought support in Thanalan, and now the self-appointed guardian of a man she once swore to kill. Now she walks an uncertain path burdened by the weight of misdeeds past and the conflicts of a questionable future.

APPEARANCE

Delial Grimsong is a Highlander Hyur of petite stature, at least as far as Highlanders go. She is not quite as tall and not quite as shapely as her Highlander sisters, taking to a more androgynous silhouette thanks to narrow hips and small bust. What she lacks in curves she makes up with a sharp face and an excess of leg, the latter of which she is always happy to show off with a fine pair of thigh high boots. Small, heavy-lidded eyes, one amber yellow and one scarred white, highlight a strong face: a pronounced nose and strong chin and jaw tie it together. A prominent scar crosses over her left eye and another smaller scar cuts up over the curve of her right jawline. Small, winged lines of red coming off the corners of her eyes are the only truly permanent tattoos upon her body but she is often seen with streaks of red painted across her face.

HOOKS & INTERACTIONS

NOTE: The following can be considered common knowledge, available to anyone who might have the means to discover them, and I welcome the opportunity to set up scenes and the like accordingly! Please feel free to reach out to me via /tell or PM.

• WANTED. A known criminal with numerous accounts of murder and kidnapping to her name. Suspicion of being a practitioner of unsavory and forbidden magics have recently been tacked onto her record, with a reward being offered for her capture.

• ALA MHIGAN. Born within the city proper to a minor house, daughter to a priest of Rhalgr and a skilled midwife. Her brothers, both hopefuls to become Fists, were quick to join the Resistance movement after the King of Ruin turned against the order. Delial Blackstone would later earn herself the names Kinslayer and Grimsong, names which would follow her into Eorzea.

• PRO-GARLEAN. Infamously so, Delial has no quarrel with Garleans nor their supporters and has been known to work with them in the past.

• BLACK MAGE. Possessed of a stone and staff, Delial has taken a slow but steady road to reclaim what she insists was meant to be her birthright: the magics of the Witch of her youth, forsaken in pursuit of ending the Resistance. An amateur at best, Delial has nonetheless grasped hold of the basics of this forbidden magic and has left evidence of it in many places throughout her travel north.

Bitter enemies turned companions, the nature of their relationship may be apparent to anyone but Delial herself. It is infatuation, she might confess, A most stubborn case of infatuation. Mind your own business.

As with her brother, Delial once deceived the former Sultansworn in the hopes that she would turn over what remained of Greyarm's faltering Resistance cell. Their relationship has been tumultuous even at the best of times. Trust was shattered once before but Delial, taken to a protective turn towards the girl, seems keen on rebuilding it one shard at a time.

It is a common thread with those closest to her that they were once enemies, and Kiryuu was no exception. How they even came to work together and become friends is still something of a mystery. Yet Delial thinks fondly of Kiryuu: for his generosity and his determination to help no matter the circumstance.
