Nah was born to two completely normal Miqo'te parents, both of them from Limsa Lominsa and skilled culinarians. He had the pleasure of never hurting for cash and always had a full belly, but that didn't stop the little dork from worming his way into things that weren't his. He found himself, while growing up, amidst thieves and rogues, opting to ignore his Arcanist teachings to instead help out the Rogues' Guild. His parents were blind to it all, with Nah innocently lying through his teeth about where he was for most of the days as they worked.

A few years passed and his parents decided to move to Gridania, to start their very own bistro. Nah took this opportunity to train and adventure in the Shroud.

While in Gridania, he trained as a conjurer, though he spent a majority of his time offering to help others that were wronged by  travelers and citizens alike, happily using his thievery skills to take back what was taken. Realizing he was skilled in that kind of work, he decided to keep with it. It made him happy, to help like that. Not long after, he began to charge for his skills, fully expecting to assist his parents to retire.

But then the Calamity struck, just as it was getting better. Just as he was about to reveal to his parents that he was helping, that he had gathered up a handsome sum of gil just for them. But with the Calamity, Nah's vision of a perfect life crumbled to dust. His parents died, and he was left alone. Scared and mourning, Nah fled Gridania, going to Ul'dah.

Nah Nh'yah
The Dark Thief

Nah Nhyah.png

[edit]

Vital Information

Current Alias... Nah Nh'yah.

Birth Name... N'het Tia.

Race... Seeker of the Sun Miqo'te.

Gender... Male.

Age... 27.

Orientation... Homosexual.

Marital Status... Single.

Other Statistics

Current Residence... Gridania - Lavender Beds. Ward 12, plot 23.

Occupation... Thief for hire.

Server... Goblin, Mateus as "N'het Tia".

Personality
Nah is one of those individuals that claim they have many, many friends, but in reality they barely keep in touch with any. The thief automatically tries to be pleasant with anyone he encounters, though after more than a couple minutes one would be able to tell that he's only being friendly to keep up appearances. He tends to drop the facade quickly once he deems the other worthy of conversation or if they seem harmless to him. (write more here because that sucked)

Likes

Food. Both his parents being culinarians, Nah grew up in a home where he was taught to respect food and learn how to create edible masterpieces.
Gil. Pretty self-explanatory. What thief doesn't like those clinky gold coins?
Acknowledge me! Nah knows he's a unique individual, and he thinks everyone else should know, too. He particularly enjoys when people acknowledge him and recognize all of his talents, especially when so many others have not even noticed how hard he has worked to get where he is.

Dislikes

Attention-Seekers. Although Nah is one that enjoys attention, one thing he cannot stand are those that throw themselves into other's arms and lament about how horrible their day has been. Everybody has hardships, quit being annoying.
Ul'dahns. Having been blackmailed by one and forced into hiding by another, Nah is wary of Ul'dahn citizens. He remains pleasant with strangers, though the moment they let it slip they're from Ul'dah, Nah immediately grows suspicious.
Text. Text, text, text.

Quirks

Reserved Seating. Nah tends to sit where he wants. Should someone be in 'his spot', he will quickly try to find a way to get them to stand and snipe the seat from them, or try to shove them off without so much as a squeak from him.
Hair Tug. There is more than one reason why Nah has a small, white ponytail. As well as looking like his idol, the thief tends to tug on his hair when he gets nervous, though it's never something gentle. It's normally harsh tugs, and more often than not, he pulls out quite a few hairs.

Appearance
A lightly tanned Seeker of the Sun Miqo'te male, with snowy alabaster hair that is unruly and jagged in cut. Nah has a moderately muscled body, with scars scarce on his body. Two apparent scars adorn his tanned face, one slicing the left corner of his lips in unfair proportions. Another is neatly placed on his left cheek, thin and shallow. Two brilliantly differing eyes shine like jewels amongst his sandy skin, one the color of rubies and the other the hue of a polished sapphire. A black leather headband is placed across his forehead, the excess material neatly and purposefully hiding his one red eye, for the thief has shame in his differentiating eye color. On his narrow hips lie two bloodshore blue daggers, that glow with a crimson aura when unsheathed. The rest of his outfit varies.

Nah can be seen shirtless around Gridania, a tribal tattoo covering his left shoulder, masking a few scars the seasoned adventurer has. Pants the same color as his hair are the only piece of clothing he tends to wear with this outfit, save for his babouches and several accessories, necklaces as well as a simple black choker. His more usual outfit is full of leather. Leather boots, leather gloves, leather pants... The only things not made out of leather are his off-white cloth shirt and the draped green fabric that lays on his waist. There are leather straps across the white shirt, throwing knives neatly arranged on the strip of tanned animal hide, both on his chest and around his waist.

NPC

Fyrgeiss Loetkilbsyn ( ) ( NPC ) - Syndicate Prick
Nah has began taking jobs in Ul'dah when he first arrived there, and quickly was hired by Fergeiss to retrieve a rare artifact that Amalj'aa stole from Amajina & Sons Mineral Concern. When Nah went to steal the item back, he discovered that the magic stone was being crafted into a pendant for a dying child. Unable to bring himself to be responsible for the death of anyone, Nah returned to Ul'dah and explained the situation. Branded as a Beastman sympathizer and failing in his task, he was forced to flee from the city-state with his name tarnished. That was when he changed his name from N'het to Nah, going as far as to bleach his hair and disguise himself should he ever run into Ul'dahn officials.
Thancred Waters ( ) ( NPC ) - Personal Idol
Thancred came from Limsa, just like Nah did. The way the Hyur manages by without any sort of magic really makes Nah respect the rogue, and the catboy has used that respect and admiration to further his own skills.

OOC

OOC INFORMATION

Personal RP Limits
I will play mature content and themes (violence, sexuality, drug / alcohol use) as long as they're logical in a plot-driven encounter. Coarse and excessive language. Temporary injury and incapacitation. Temporary imprisonment. Most walk-up encounters.
Ask about long-term and/or permanent injury and disfigurement. Long-term captivity or imprisonment.
I won't play permanent character death or erotic roleplay unless I'm comfortable with the RP partner.
Disclaimer
If an aspect of RP makes you uncomfortable in a scene we're playing, please send me a /tell, letting me know. Communication is very important, more important than potentially keeping immersion.

CHARACTER TIDBITS

Links that lead off the wiki, but are technically relevant to the character.

Potential Plot Hooks/Topics to RP
I'm hurting for romance for this poor boy.
Maybe something to do with his dark voices?
He just needs general friends.
