HistoryAppearancePersonalityRelationshipsRumorsGalleryArtworkMusicOOCCredits A'sana was born in a small Miqo'te settlement somewhere in Gyr Abania though the location of which has long since been lost due. She spent the first five years of her life living with her tribe along-side her sister, Delesta, who was three years her senior. Her memories of their life among their tribe are limited due to her age and maybe due to the fact that she tries not to remember what she had because of how violently it was all taken away. Just barely five summers old, A'sana and Delesta were hidden away by their mother just in time to escape their entire tribe being slaughtered in the wake of the Garlean Empire's anexation of Ala Mhigo and her surroundings. Among the refugees that fled Imperial rule, A'sana found herself in Ul'dah with her sister. Most of their time was spent focused on survival. Pickpocketing, begging and generally doing anything they needed to in order to keep themselves fed and safe. It was with Delesta's encouragement as A'sana started to demonstrate some apttitude towards magic that A'sana started training with the thaumaturges around ten summers old. Her skills and mastery over the basics grew in leaps and bounds until she started taking on more advanced studies. If she couldn't learn from her masters, she would seek and even steal the books she needed to further her training. In the midst of her studies, she also worked alongside her sister, running a crew on the street. She rarely saw the more physical side of things, but her skills in running the books as well as making the plans made her a valuable asset to their crew. Just shortly after her 21st nameday, everything fell apart. Delesta was caught and sent to prison, having made her last act before capture to warn A'sana to get out of Ul'dah, sacrificing her freedom for Sana's. Heading to Gridania, A'sana would spend some time there studying Conjury before running into an old friend who took her on as his apprentice and an amateur adventurer. Under his instruction, she learned sword play and a new way of combining her knowledge in several schools of magic to better effect. After a time, she would part ways with him to go on her way, traveling, studying and taking most any job that peaked her interest. Her voraciousness for knowledge led her far and wide. Eventually, she would feel the call to return to the only home she's known, settling once again in Ul'dah with the release of her sister after six years of imprisonment. A'sana is a very toned 5 fulms, 2 ilms tall. Built much like an overly busty dancer or gymnast, she's graceful with the ocassional hit of flourish. Her brilliant red hair and striking green eyes tend to be the most recognizable feature of the Miqo'te, her sun darkened complexion offering a startling contrast to her eyes that tends to make them stand out more. Sana tends more towards ornate clothing, usually not afraid to show off a bit of skin from time to time and her rapier is more often than not by her side. She does almost perpetually wearing glasses, though when she doesn't have them on her vision doesn't seem to be affected. She knows a fair amount about various schools of magic and has practical skill in at least two that most know of. Martial Arts: A talented swordswoman in the use of a rapier with some skill and knowedge in unarmed combat. Grifting: Though not commonly known, A'sana is a skilled grifter, not above using wit, wiles and flat manipulation to get what she wants. Quirks Tends to talk…a lot, more-so when she’s given a chance to. Reads people well and has a bad habit of using that skill against everyone, friend or foe. Overly flirty and a bit promiscuous. It’s not unusual for her to have a “flavor of the day” when it comes to lovers, but never has proven to have any long-term ties to one person in that regard. Sometimes seems to “turn off” her emotions and fall into a rather odd sense of “pleasant neutrality” with her expression.
