| − | Roswyn, on the surface, is an attractive young Miqo'te girl. Upon first glance, she gives off a vibe that leads many to believe she is innocent and sweet causing many to unjustly underestimate her. She is often approached in a manner befitting her appearance and while she despises this, it makes it very easy for her to manipulate whomever approached her. She has a good sense of humor and isn't above taking a verbal jab or two if it's genuinely funny and improves the conversation. However, she automatically expects the same from others and that can occasionally land her in hot water. The initial impression of her is usually one of unfriendliness though once some time has been spent with her it's discovered she has a softer, almost melancholy nature.

She is extremely small in stature but her body is lithe and dense, hiding an unseen prowess for combat. Her body is rather curvy and she is not afraid to use this to her advantage, provided it doesn't dig her into a hole she needs violence to crawl out of. If watched it will be noticed that her ears are rather expressive and her tail is rather fluffy, slightly uncharacteristic for a Miqo'te.

| − | Roswyn has a temper and will not hesitate to fight if provoked. It's a trait that, despite her efforts to control always manages to flare up. She retains her physical combat prowess from her days as a bandit and thief, being extremely proficient with the dagger and bow but much less so with the sword. She has an aptitude for stealthiness, bearing the capability to remain still and hidden for almost hours at a time. This is a skill that has not seen any use recently however and would likely need to be practiced at length before she could make use of it once more.<br/><br/>After coming under the care of The Benefactor, Roswyn underwent intensive training as an Arcanist. A large part of her past five years have been spent with her nose in books, her hands writing, and her manners being refined. She is educated on a wide variety of scholastic and magical subjects and has even been overheard discussing the properties of Voidsent. She has also been seen once or twice with a summoned Egi, though if asked about these abilities you be met with an evasive reply.<br/>

| − | Roswyn's history is speckled with death and abandonment, beginning from before she could remember. She was raised by a rather unremarkable and unknown group of bandits called The Black Claws in the Black Shroud of Gridania who never could manage to assimilate into the city-state. They inhabited thickets, trees and caves, maintaining their own style of archery and combat which Roswyn inherited. Though they were Miqo'te, they lacked any tribal focus, instead they were bound by the mutual desire to simply survive and not starve. They were a guerrilla group, robbing caravans, travelers and running heists in the city when they could get away with it. As a result Roswyn has an intimate understanding of what it is to be poor, cold, persecuted and hungry even though she gives little to no inkling of it now. How she came to be with this group is still mostly shrouded in mystery, her only clue is the stories told by her by the elder members of her group. One evening, a routine robbing of a trade caravan resulted in the fatal injury of a passenger: a silvery haired female Miqo'te who was with child. Before her inevitable death she gave birth to small, female child. From what they could gather before the passed, the woman was fleeing persecution for reasons that have long since died with her. The group chose to keep Roswyn and raise her as their own, imparting upon her a traditional Keeper of the Moon name, their wholly inadequate and perhaps culturally insensitive way of honoring the death of her mother. This name, however, is known only to Roswyn and has never been used in recent history.

| − | Roswyn's life remained unchanged until her 14th year, the same year as the Calamity. The armies from Gridania had been moved to Cartaneau, leaving behind only a fringe defense force. Her bandit group chose to take advantage of the lack of guards and loot several shops in the city proper. This particular job was deemed too dangerous for the younger, weaker and older members of the group and Roswyn was asked to stay behind while the main band completed the task. Roswyn, never one for authority, followed behind the group. However, as they moved out the sky soon darkened and fire begin to rain down as Bahamut descended. The last thing Roswyn remembers clearly is taking refuge in a ravine as fire and debris rained down on the Black Shroud.

Whether or not she has been told not to discuss him or if she refuses to discuss him of her own volition remains unknown. Whoever the man is, it is apparent that amazing care has been taken of her. In the ultimate form of culture shock she was literally lifted from the dirt of poverty into a lavish city life. She is well spoken and properly educated. Her manners are refined and her verbal wit is a force to be reckoned with, despite her young age. She will occasionally speak of the residences she has available at her disposal in both U'ldah, Limsa, and Gridania, though she will only do so if she deems it necessary as she finds discussing ones own means to be classless and tactless. In all respects, she has blossomed into a fine member of high society...barring her lingering, hyper-aggressive Keeper Blood.
