Character

"Sometimes I wonder if my mother would accept the monster you've turned me into." - Aaron Glacier to his father before the mutiny and before his present personality crisis.

Aaron Glacier is an ex pirate who once ran with the Glacial Wolf Pirates, a band of pirates led by his father. He has snowy white hair with black highlights, a trait that distinguished his family and is what created the origin of his last name "Glacier". He also has pale skin and snow white eyes and a slim and physically athletic male standing around 5"11 and weighing around 155-160lbs. He's known to be extremely attractive to women and even men.

PERSONALITY

Aaron has a very complex personality as he constantly clashes with the memory of his sins as a pirate. His free will wants to try and redeem him while the pirate bloodline of his family wants to indulge in his actions. This causes him to suffer from outbursts and makes him prone to depression or anger. He is impulsive and says what's on his mind regardless of who he is talking to which leads to several people calling him "idiot" and leads to animosity between some. However those that can understand the turmoil running through Aaron will find out he is very outcasted person who's only trying to create a new image for himself and forget about his days as a pirate. He's not good at reading emotions nor is he really good at respect which once again leads most to look down on him which in return only forces him into deeper conflict with who he really is. However make ni mistake when needed Aaron is quickly able to go back to his old sadistic and serious ways. Regardless Aaron tries to keep his problems to himself and thus will act out to keep from being called an "emo" as Gus says.

However Aaron still possesses somewhat of an ego (probably because he's attractive and he's realized it) and will lash out at anyone who insults him without or reason or with hateful intent. Because of this he doesn't talk about his past much as he knows there are people who will feed off that information and use to it keep him from his attempts at redemption for his crimes. He isn't very loyal or protective of anyone which became apparent after Deverell Jinx, a close friend asked Aaron if he would have cared if he had killed Aerostein Epitaph during their fight to which Aaron simply walked away without an answer. It could be inferred however that he's lost so many people over the course of being a cutthroat he's learned to shut off his attachments to people and thus technically only cares for himself mostly however on rare occasions he's shown compassion towards his friends implying he's learning to open up for the first time in his life.

Sexuality

Aaron Glacier is 100% heterosexual (which disappoints some men) but he's shown he's tolerant of men calling him attractive as long as they keep it to words and don't attempt anything. He has no interest in lalafell or Roe women claiming them to be too drastic for his taste. He is less open about dating Highlands and Elezen as he finds it embarrassing to date a taller woman however he's shown he's open to the idea. He doesn't have an opinion on Miqs he's never been with one.

Fighting Style

Aaron as expected from being a pirate is extremely skilled in sword fighting and hand to hand combat. He focuses on unrelenting aggressive assaults on his opponents in hopes of overwhelming them. Because of his heavy focus on offense one would think he's terrible at defense however Aaron has surprisingly fast reflexes and agility enabling him to swiftly dodge or deflect most lesser attacks. In battle he's known to use his sword as both a melee weapon and when under the right circumstances a long range weapon by throwing his sword at his opponents like a giant dart when they are caught off guard. He's also known to switch between standard and reverse grips mid fight and switching his weapon back and forth in his hands to confuse his enemies as well as mix unarmed attacks into his style. Aarons skills have allowed him to fight on par with physically superior opponents like Berrod Armstrong and Magically adept fighters like Aerostein Epitaph. His skills are so good people like Deverell Jinx and S'vett Tia are hesitant to fight him one on one, the former even admitting it was crazy to fight Aaron by himself. His flaw however is due to him not liking to wear armor as it restricts his agility Aaron can get wounded pretty quickly however his hardiness and determination allows him to fight for a bit even when injured. Aaron has a popular motto he goes by when he talks about fighting "If I can't out last or out maneuver them, I'll out damage them."

History

Pirate Life

At the age of 18 and before Aaron was molded and trained in the ways of piracy since birth. Stuck between the teachings of his mother and father led the young boy to mess up many times on raids nearly killing himself on several occasions. His mother wanted him to spare any survivor and similar while his father wanted Aaron to grow up to be feared and dangerous. These constantly clashing morals led Aaron to develop a half and half personality where his mood could change from compassive to merciless without hesitation. After his mother passed when he turned 19 during a failed raid on merchant ships that had a naval fleet ambush his ship Aaron fled to icy waters with his father. His mothers death was the first real bell that would send him down a depressive and ruthless path which allowed his father to feed off his despair.

After they fled with their lives Aaron and his father would frequently clash heads with other pirate bands and naval forces all fighting over the less abundant amount of plunder farther out into the arctic waters. Upon the successful raid of one ship Aaron would meet a survivor who he spared from his blade, a beautiful black haired woman named Niara. Upon convincing his father Niara could help serve as a crew mate to replace the lost Glacial Wolf Pirates killed during the assault Aaron would eventually grow close and develop a love interest with Niara. They served together on the same ship for half a year until one night after lying down with Niara Aaron heard turmoil happening above deck and grabbed his sword rushing up.Niara had been tagging the location of our ship to her old crew who had decided it was time to wipe out Aaron's bloodline of pirates. Despite his feelings Aaron without hesitation attacked Niara with his old sword and held up pretty good against her but at the end was ultimately the loser. After getting distracted by the sound of his father being killed at the helm Aaron was quickly disarmed and ran through the chest with his own sword and Niaras. The traitor gave Aaron one last glance and then coldly kicked Aaron off the bow where he plummeted into the icy waters afloat a broken piece of helm bleeding out. Aaron laid there blood and saltwater soaked in the icy waters barely clinging onto life when a passing fishermen ship picked him up where a lalafell white mage woman tended to his wounds and revived his basically dead state. As Aaron regained his life he learned about the injury missing his heart by half an inch. Thankful for his savior a little bit of Aaron's mothers kindness awakened in him and he asked how he could repay his life debt. The little lalafell happy to oblige told Aaron she was headed to Gridania for business and would appreciate his guard. Aaron accepted but first asked if he could head to Coerthas as there was something waiting there for him.

A couple years before the present.

About a year later at 20 years old Aaron would venture to Coerthas with his word get would help the lalafell that saved his life. Upon arriving in the snowy area Aaron would through the next few months more about his family origins. Aaron's bloodline has a affinity to ice so powerful that it imprinted on their genetics thus why his family has pale skin, white eyes and snow white hair, the black highlights are most likely not highlights but the remnants of Aaron's birth hair color had his family not been so powerfully tied with Ice. Aaron would also discover a cavern mentioned to him repeatedly of a cursed sword named Trinity that he stashed away for Aaron to wield and exact revenge on his fathers murderer. After using recollections of the stories he heard Aaron was quickly able to find the voidsent sword hidden away in an underground cavern. However knowing his mind was not powerful enough nor was his body durable enough to take the strain Aaron would take the sword but not use it until he was about to turn 21 in Gridania after his steel falchion sword is broken in a fight with a group of pirates he had chased into the forest. After finding Trinity right before the time of 3 months was given to him by the lalafell Aaron returned to the docks where he joined up with the lalafell and her crew who later were found out to be pirate hunters (they thought Aaron had died defending himself from pirates but was not one himself)

Aaron would eventually arrive in Coerthas at the age of 20

Iris Glacier (Mother) - Iris Glacier was perhaps one of the most important people in Aarons life as a sailor before he was brought into the family pirate life at the age of 16. She taught him how to survive on his own and how to fight with a blade as well as never to let someone view him as trash because of the family he was born into. She and Aaron had a very close relationship with each other and would readily back each other up when in need. Before she died Aaron was a lot more enthusiastic and proud, after her death however Aaron had a subtle change in personality and grew darker which would eventually allow his father to turn him into a cold blooded killer. Iris used to always tease Aaron about his white hair despite him getting it from her.

Cyrus Glacier (Father) - Cyrus Glacier was perhaps the main one responsible for making Aaron who he is today. He taught Aaron how to be a fearless warrior and taught him to aggressify his fighting style saying one day Aaron would probably be the most lethal pirate the Glacial Wolf Pirates has ever seen. While Iris wanted Aaron to be a proud and merciful man Cyrus wanted a ruthless son who was feared throughout the seas. After Iris died Cyrus overwritten her teachings and turned Aaron into a emotionally cold wreck. Aaron both feared and respects his father because of this. Cyrus eventually died during a mutiny which led to his demise and the extinction of the Glacial Wolf Pirates save for Aaron who had somehow survived the ordeal despite having two swords ran through his chest.

FRIENDS

Aerostein Epitaph - One of Aaron's closest friends and perhaps the one he talks to the most. Aerostein seems to be the one who understands Aaron's personality the most despite knowing very little about him and his past. The two regularly hang out and it would seem they are best friends or close. Many of Aeros friends however question if Aaron really is a friend of Aero's especially Deverell Jinx after asking Aaron if he even cared whether Aerostein had died if his sword had impaled him a bit lower from the shoulder doing their duel to which Aaron just walked away without giving a reply.

Glacial Wolf Pirates (Wiped out) - The bloodline pirate band Aaron was born intoand affiliated with. Not much is known about them but if trusted enough by Aaron he infers through his words the band of pirates were feared by most merchant ships, apparently there even was a bad omen line yelled out when they were near. "When you see icy waters and hair of white, flee or fight it matters not you're still dying tonight!". Their flag was a large mountain like picture of a iceberg.

- Aaron's favorite color is black.

- Aaron's sword is called Trinity and is enhanced with Ice Materia. After he fights Aerostein he soon comes to news that Trinity is actually a cursed voidsent sword.

- Aaron is into clothes possessing multiple outfits.

- Despite his complaining Aaron genuinely loves his white hair and eyes as they remind him of his mother.

- Aaron got the scar on his face from sparring with his father.

- The person that ran two swords through Aaron's chest during the mutiny was also his girlfriend who betrayed him.

- Aaron fought the girl thst ran two swords through his chest again a year later and lost taking yet another blade to the gut.

- Despite hanging around women and being openly noted as attractive by most of them. Aaron is single.

- Aaron is scared of needles.

- Aaron instinctively aims to kill whoever he fights but on occasions has deliberately fought his urge and at the last second aimed away the tip of his attack. When he dealt his final blow to Aerostein Epitaph during they're fight he didn't miss, he at the last second diverted his aim. He used the virus as an excuse. One can also infer he deliberately missed slashing a vital on Berrod too.

- Aaron's favorite element is ice as expected from his namesake. His cursed sword Trinity also has ice materia ironically and was discovered in Coerthas.

- Aaron's sword Trinity has a nasty curse, whatever damage it inflicted if not immediately healed becomes permanent. The wounds it inflicts are known to ooze a sticky black ooze.

- Aaron is attracted to women with beautiful eyes.

- Aaron has mixed emotions about being called a pirate.
