Ciel is a foreigner of incredible magic potential, but appears unable to fully unleash it due to her abnormal circumstances.

Her origins, a subject she rarely goes into, leave many to speculate on. Most believe she is one of many refugee children that went missing after the Ala Mhigan were driven from their homes over two decades ago.

Since a recent return to Ul'dah, Ciel has grown more careful of her frequentations and choice of work. Trading her trademark healing touch for more traditional methods, she bears a stature much different than she did just mere months before.

• Ciel reconnected with the Lominsan Free Company she affiliated with in the past temporarily.

Second Astral Moon, 1578 (Mar' 2014)

• Ciel cut ties with the Lominsan Free Company Pandemonium.
• Ciel became partially involved with a Gridanian Free Company.

Second Umbral Moon, 1578 (Apr' 2014)

• Ciel became a member of the Ul'dahn Free Company Aeon.
• Ciel left on a personal task, cutting ties with Aeon temporarily.

Third Umbral Moon, 1578 (Jun' 2014)

• Ciel returned to the Aeon Free Company.

First Astral Moon, 1579 (Jan' 2015)

• Ciel left Cliffperch, the Aeon Free Company home, in order to better her knowledge of Aether at Vylbrand Academy. She remains in close contact with Aeon.

First Umbral Moon, 1579 (Feb' 2015)

• Ciel abruptly cut ties with the Aeon Free Company, and was never seen returning to Vylbrand Academy after her first visit.

Fifth Astral Moon, 1579 (Sept' 2015)

• Ciel once again walks the streets of Ul'dah after a half-cycle absence.

●♥Zaku Paku : Ciel and Zaku met when she roamed the Ul'dahn markets as a teenager, well over a decade past. Since then, they were together through the best and worst of times, up until this very day. Zaku is the closest thing Ciel has to a family, and will oft be seen introducing herself as his sister.

●Naeni Duke : The one thing Ciel was missing was a teacher in magic, and it's what she found in Naeni the moment they met. It gradually became apparent that Naeni was more than a mentor in the school of magic, also assisting her in understanding the relevance of her emotions and helping her understand herself and others better. She considers Naeni to be both a great teacher and a treasured friend she would always protect in any way she can.

●Zuri Bacchus : To Ciel, Zuri is the most accurate and legitimate example of positive emotional display. She would turn to Zuri at any moment with questions about friendship and love, and would trust her answers with certainty, something few people would admit to. She appears to care a great deal for the young Midlander, and would go to great lengths to make sure she stays safe.

Brynhilde is a very capable fighter, and one you can definitely rely on in any situation. That is something Ciel recognizes, despite the fact that she knows very little about her personally. She always feels safer knowing the fellow Highlander on their side, and is even inclined to look up to her. She respects her greatly, to a point where she stills use a very formal speech pattern around her despite the fact that they've known each other for quite some time, now. Ciel believes Brynhilde to be a honorable leader worthy of people's respect.

●♥Trulgar Beilklinge Show text Ciel met Trulgar when she was in Cliffperch and while their first encounter was somewhat unusual, they grew to be very close. Together with Zaku, they built what is akin to a family's bond. She proudly introduces him as her brother.

●Varus Adelric Rosenthal Show text While her blatant refusal to join with him remains, Ciel's uneasiness towards Varus seems to have mysteriously subsided, traded for an uncanny calm at any mention of the fearsome magus. Always stoic in his presence, she seems to show little to no interest in his practice. She tends to stay out of his way as long as he remains out of hers.

• People who work closely with the Conjurers' Guild in Gridania may have seen her about at more critical times, when outside help was needed.
• Conjurers who spent time at the Conjurers' Guild and in Gridania shortly before and during the Calamity may also have heard the name.
