Chief Flame Sergeant Kale Aideron of the Immortal Flames 1st Brigade is a promising Ul'dahn soldier often found in the company of adventurers when not on duty. He is the commanding officer of the Flame Yataghans, a unit led by a cadre of professional Flames soldiers that is composed primarily of mercenaries and hirelings from the Ul'dah region. A staunch Royalist, Sergeant Aideron is unwaveringly and perhaps uncompromisingly loyal to Sultana Nanamo Ul Namo, and may be known to have aspirations beyond his current station. As his unit is based directly out of the Hall of Flames, he is often seen around the Steps of Nald when not on duty, or at the various Immortal Flames outposts across Thanalan. Alternatively, he may be elsewhere in Eorzea, either on Alliance business or socializing with the Travellers' Guild (with whom he holds membership).

Appearance

Sergeant Aideron's rough and calloused appearance puts him as an individual who has served as a rank-and-file soldier for many winters. Indeed, a small number of very faded scars and cuts are visible on his torso, at least on the parts that are exposed. Additionally, his mannerisms and accent seems to indicate he may have grew up in and around Pearl Lane, a slum in Ul'dah. When on duty around the city, Aideron is often adorned in the Flames overcoat with a turban, or some other identifiable Flames uniform. Out in Thanalan, he is frequently found in the uniform of a Flame sergeant, thus making him indistinguishable from other Ul'dahn soldiers. As a trained sipahi, Sergeant Aideron may also be seen in heavier armor on chocoboback, often in the Ul'dahn colors.

When not on duty, Sergeant Aideron dresses very simply and plainly, blending in with the citizenry of Ul'dah. A kurta is accompanied by a turban, or sometimes he might be seen in a plain tunic with a set of chausses. If he were to be identified from the crowd of commonfolk, it may either be from overhearing his eager friendliness to a newcomer, or witnessing his indignant antagonism towards whoever he thinks may be misbehaving that day.
