After intensive training in Kenjutsu and Kung-Fu for over a decade, Toshiro is a remarkable samurai and highly skilled Martial Artist when need be. While he is also skilled in magical practices, he seems to only have a capable affinity with Conjury, as his Holy magic or Light magic leans more to the offensive aspect of Conjury. His most outstanding skill would be his mastery over bladed weapons of all varieties, save for axes though it did not stop him from learning how to use them. His singular most recognizable technique is known as Iai Strike, seemingly defeating lesser opponents with a single strike in an instant from short distances using a katana, longsword or greatsword. Due to his light build, he's more comfortable with swift and nimble weapons unless he's compelled to fight with something bigger. By all definitions, Toshiro should be categorized as a Freelancer. Because of his divine power, he's earned the role of Crystal Bearer, a mentor and guardian to those blessed with the Echo, with the goal of guiding them on the right path, yet his true purpose is yet to be revealed.

History
Birthright
Toshiro was born in 1556 of the Sixth Astral Era to Saya Yamato and Galvus Gram. After his father, Galvus, was abducted from Ishgard by Trishula, he would endure quite the trial to Doma before finally meeting Saya Yamato, Toshiro's mother. While being taken in by her grace and living as a Yamato, Galvus would marry Saya one year later, and Toshiro would be born the following year. Growing up under a noble Dragoon of a Father would be a first for this Doman family, as Galvus did not share the same contempt for Dravanians as his city-state did. He, in fact, was quite open-minded and somewhat of a pacifist unless he were forced to fight to protect Ishgard. Toshiro admired his father greatly, adopting his noble ideals and loving heart at such a young age. This would come as a godsend for his mother, Saya, whom struggled daily with the politics between the heads of the Yamato family. Particularly, the politics between herself, and Toshiro's uncle, Sousuke Yamato and Saya's twin brother. The tension between Sousuke and Saya had formed long before she'd chosen to marry an outsider, rather this was a fated conflict that could not be avoided. Saya, the heiress of the Yamato family name at the time, was born two minutes before Sousuke and thus was burdened as the vessel of the Hyori or Ice Ring and an incredibly powerful demon that came with it.(WIP)
Personality
Though Toshiro carries a consistently positive attitude, he's not as naïve as he was when first arriving to Eorzea. He's quite humorous and can be mildy sarcastic at times, no doubt a trait he picked up from his wife. It seems he's also picked up a competitive nature from his better half as well. Regardless of his changes, he's still easily amazed by the simplest of Eorzean customs and traditions not found in his homeland. After his arrival to Eorzea, he grew highly fond of "glamours" and the aesthetic skills to change his appearance, dying and styling his hair almost daily while claiming it was to "remain hidden from Garlean spies"... When in battle, Toshiro will do his best to fight fairly, though most of the times he assumes that his opponent's skills are on par, if not greater than his own. When he uses his father's Dragoon Soul Crystal, he becomes a vessel for the noble spirit, becoming more focused in battle and self-righteous all around.

Although she's rarely spoken of, Toshiro had a close relationship and friendship with his mother, granted she were one of few that he could interact with inside the walls around their estate. She was loving mother, and a ruthless warrior when it came to the peace and tranquility of her nation, training Toshiro daily to be the warrior he would need to be for the days to come. She was mostly supportive of all his ideas, from marrying an outsider to provide her with medical aid to learning weapon arts not found within Doma. The only thing she could not do was allow him to leave the walls, that was before succumbing to her aether sickness and leaving him as the head of the Yamato family and her Holy Regalia. Unlike her mischievous conjurer of a son, Saya could not use Conjury, rather she was only skilled with a Kenjutsu and Ninjutsu, and was a powerful Pyromancer. This would earn her the title "The Singing Salamander" in her late 20's, around the time Toshiro was born.

Fate would bring Iasmin and Toshiro together on the day he first arrived to Limsa Lominsa in search of his older brother. Initially, he felt she was bossy and rude during their investigation, with the sole interest of finding Saruna. However, time would reveal to the both of them that the investigation was just an excuse for them to see eachother each day. That is until Toshiro's twenty-second birthday, when they would both confess their feelings for one another. With the investigation closed, Toshiro and Iasmin would turn their sights to new mysteries that the world had to offer, enjoying many adventures together as a newly wed family. As of the Trials, Toshiro and Iasmin's relationship has grown unsteady, concluding with him leaving her in Eorzea to find himself out of fear of hurting her.

The Lavender-haired "sass queen" also known as Madam Seraphine, is not only one of the first people Toshiro met in Eorzea, but also like a dear sister to him. They particularly exchange witty banter back and forth as such, but can also display concern for eachother's well-being. There's still much he's yet to learn about this woman, but so far he seems to view her as a role model despite what others may claim.

Divine Empowerment- Can use pure aether to cast powerful magics and various other spells and techniques with his Crystal core. Used for slaying Voidsent, and Primals. Magics are stronger during the day.(Inspired by Warrior of Light from Dissidia Final Fantasy, and Kingdom Hearts)
Blitz- (PLD/NIN/SAM) also known as "Levin Step". Can instantly cover short to medium distances using his Regalia as an improvised aetheryte from his own conjuration
- Blitz II- Unlocked with Limit Break I, uses aetherial displacement to move freely, warping short distances without the use of an aetheryte or Regalia. Description- Vanishes in a flash of lightning as his body converts into electricity and travels to his destination. -Is vulnerable to interrupt- (Inspired by the Eternity Ring and Warp-strike from FF XV)
Projection- can conjure constructs of armor, lightwear, weapons or even a mount from pure aether, for combat purposes or novelty. (Inspired by Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works)
Gateway of Infinity- Grants him the ability to surpass any of his limits, while also allowing him to open a portal to Azys Lla only.
Physical Traits
Having a slim build and being lightweight, Toshiro does not only rely on his skill with a weapon, but also his own agility and speed to best his opponents. This would be the optimal choice of combat style rather than risking a head-on challenge with a fighter of stronger Class such as Warrior and Monk. His fighting styles vary depending on the weapon of choice, from its length and weight to the durability and aerodynamics. His lancing skills resemble that of an Ishgardian Dragoon, as it was his Father that trained him with a lance. While his swordsmanship resembles Chinese swordplay as well as Kenjutsu. One of his greatest strengths is his ability to adapt in mid-battle, and he favors aerial attacks the most since they are usually more difficult to defend against.

Magical Trait(s)
- Blood of the Dragon- Toshiro's innate ability to become a dragon through the proper ritual. Unbeknownst to him of his lineage, this "curse" plays a key role in his physical and magical capabilities. Not only does it provide him with a vast reservoir of power, but it also extends his affinity to two other elements. He uses this power to his advantage most when he uses a jump for aerial attacks, as well as enhancing his senses, and increasing his knowledge magical attacks.
- Blessing of Light- The other factor in his capabilities as a warrior and spellsword, granting him divine power from the Mother Crystal to defend against the darkness and quell the wrath of any Primal he's faced against, as well as hold his ground against an Ascian long enough to safely escape.
- Mark of Levin-Bestowed the Lord of Levin's mark upon Toshiro, granting him the ability to channel absolute focus as well as enhancing his levinmancy powers.
