P E R S O N A L I T Y

Yaya is an intellectual man, gifted in both mind and magic. And having been born and raised in Ul'dah, this serendipitous commingling of attributes, it came as a shock to no one when he went on to become both Alchemist and Thaumaturge. However, unlike many of those who make their home in the bustling city of Ul'dah, he isn't especially skilled in socializing. Far too blunt and analytic, he leaves much to be desired when it comes to conversation. He's more inclined to talk shop than any other subject someone may attempt to steer towards, regardless of efforts to do so. On top of that, he also has trouble concealing when he tires of a topic or conversation - or rather, he doesn't exactly make any attempts to hide it. This leaves his circle of friends to be a bit lacking, and more along the lines of a circle of colleagues. It's also rare for him to ever go out of his way to take any kind of break from work or study, which also cuts into chances of a social life. Now, this isn't all to say he hates people or socializing - he likes people just fine. He just isn't particularly skilled at it, which leads to people not enjoying his presence, which then further leads to not wanting to be around such a negative air. For those willing to put up with his antisocial tendencies, he can prove to be a worthwhile ally and friend, and after some time, far more willing to lend an ear to your troubles or stories.

Yaya stands just a bit over three feet with pale strawberry blonde hair, cut short and styled, as well as a soul patch, with pink eyes and a tattoo on his right cheek. His choice of clothing varies between snug fitting and somewhat flowy depending on his current workings, but more often than naught is of higher quality garment.
