Character
Early Life
Sastra was born in Ala Migo, sometime between the reign of the king of ruin and the garlean invasion. Precisely when is not known, and because of that Sastra is not aware of how old she actually is. During the turmoil of changing times, Sastra's parents destiny would have it that their lives end too soon. Given the circumstances, no one truly remembers exactly what happened, but sastra herself has come to the conclusion that if it wasn't the Garleans themselves, then the increased panic within the population could have rendered them victim of one or more desperate individuals, trying to save their own life. Regardless, Sastra was found hiding in the corner of her home with other children hiding in the near vicinity, by strangers that were making efforts to flee Ala Migho with as many children as possible. She was brought to Ul'dah, and raised in one of the orphanages. The people who found her named her Sastra, as she herself were either too young or too scared to present herself. This name was what the Orphanage wrote into her papers, and the only name she knows herself by these days. As the strangers surrendered her, they gave as much information as they could about where she had been found, perhaps in hopes that the girl would reconnect with her heritage one day.
Appearance
Sastra is surprisingly short for a Highlander, being no more than 168 cm in height. She appears to have a healthy weight, though showing more curves than bones, and she would seem to carry the strength that her kin is known for. As a result, her muscles are fairly defined, and her hands would show all of the signs of a woman used to hard work, with rough patches of skin and scars here and there. She has long and healthy dark-red hair, which seems to frame her face in an appealing way. Her eyes are grey, but can appear to be both green and blue depending on what light she's stood in. On her cheek is a non-permanent tattoo in the shape of a lizard inspired dragon, she repaints it frequently to keep it clearly shown.
She tends to wear clothes that reflect the climate she's in, and highly prefers leathers and cloths over heavy armor. When wandering, she almost always has a bow with her, along with a backpack that holds her life in it, along with basic necessities for surviving in the wild. Among those a couple of knives of utility and ones more suited for hunt.
Current Situation
Sastra's fate has proven to be quite different from what she'd have expected. She has seen herself taking over the leadership of the free company known as The Kindred, and also become the manager of the establishment in Camp Bronze Lake. This makes her a busy lady, and her usual wandering ways no longer dominate her existence. She travels still, but usually with a purpose in mind, such as getting new suppliers for the establishment - or in effort to find work for the many people that has joined the ways of her Kindred.
One of her ultimate goals for the future is to be able to return home to Ala Migho.
Combat
General
Sastra is not trained to fight other people, and in the case of a fight breaking out, she would likely attempt to flee at the first given moment. Should she be unable to flee, she can defend herself somewhat, but to a seasoned magician or fighter of other arts she would likely be overmanned. Sastra is shy of conflicts because of this, and won't be the one to start a bar fight. Her abilities wielding a bow could be as deadly for people as they are for animals, under the right circumstances.

- She's good at convincing people they're making the bargain of a lifetime, whilst still turning out to be the one that gets the biggest profit from a trade.

- Sastra tends to hang about Bronze Lake, but can also be seen on visits in Ul'dah.
- Sastra does not have a permanent residence and quite literally lives out of her bag.
Relationships
Family
Despite her status as an orphan, Sastra does have family. But, naturally speaking, she isn't aware of this - and certainly not who or where they are. She has two older siblings that were rescued by the very same strangers, but because they were not hiding with Sastra, no one made any connection between the three. Sastra's parents may well have had siblings of their own, giving her potential to have aunts and uncles as well. If there was to be any physical trait recurring in the family, red hair would be one, and the fair-ish complexion another.
Sastra's family as roles are open to be played by others, if such character would be played frequently - with everything open to go as it goes, as such any sibling for example could merely be a distant one. Friends
Sastra tries to keep friendly with most people, and would probably agree to the statement that she has many friends around and about. It is rare for her to have close friends, despite wanting to have them.
