Character

General

Lisasa Lisa is a twenty-two year old Lalafell who lived a fairly basic life on a small farm out in La Noscea. She is the third child of a farming couple and was raised, like her siblings, in preparation to take over the farmland. Instead, dreaming of being a hero and having her name sung across Hydaelyn by Bards, she has begun to travel Eorzea and is determined to become an adventurer of legend, just like she has heard so much about in the stories.

Appearance

Lisasa is an adventurer at heart and she dresses for such. She can be found in pretty average leather armor and sticks to darker colors such as brown and black. She is always found with several supply pouches strapped to her tattered leather belt, and also carries a sword or dagger that she keeps sheathed at her hip with a shield on her back. At times, she can be found in heavier armour, though it's clear it slows the Lalafell down quite a lot.

Behaviour

Kind, simple and uneducated are all words that are often used to describe Lisasa's behaviour and personality to others. Raised without much education, she is unable to read or write but wishes to learn at some point in her life. Instead, she has found a talent for carving and always carries a small carving knife on her person somewhere. She does her best to provide and care for those important and close to her. While maternal and loving, she is also an incredibly plucky woman and has a 'never-give-up' attitude, even in the worst circumstances.

Combat

Lisasa's upbringing was very physical with her tending to both animals and plants around her family's farmland. From an early age she has trained herself in the use of daggers and swords, being able to wield one confidently. She is far from a skilled swordswoman, however, and has a long way to go before such. Recently she has also began including a shield in her training sessions, determined to add the defensive item to her combat skills.

Her combat style is very defensive. She focuses more on parrying and blocking attacks, often hiding her entire small form behind her large shield to protect herself. She also focuses on speed over strength, preferring to disorient her foes with quick stabs and slashes from her weapon when she sees an opening, before returning to her defensive stance.

History/Timeline

The third child of her parents, Lisasa had a relatively peaceful and simple life growing up in the lush fields of La Noscea. A farmer's daughter and raised to take over the family business alongside her siblings, she had never known much of the world beyond Vylbrand apart from the bed-time stories she used to hear from her mother.

It was when she became a young woman that Lisasa decided she would not follow in the footsteps of her parents. Whenever visiting a village on behalf of her family, the young lady found herself always captivated by the tales of traveling Bards, losing herself in their intricate stories of brave heroes and beautiful far-off lands. It was through these visits that Lisasa discovered her true calling - she wished to become a story herself. A hero, whose name would echo from every Bard across the world in all the taverns. There was just one issue - she was a simple, young farmer.

Determined to turn her dream into a reality, the young Lalafell acquired her first sword and began training herself in using it, all hidden from the rest of her family. In the day, she was hardworking and tended to the animals and crops as her parents requested. Yet when her family had fallen asleep indoors, she would sneak out at night to train her sword skills on whatever she could. Wild Dodo, Jackals, even trees. She considered swinging her sword at anything practice.

Moons passed and, finally, Lisasa decided she was ready to begin her journey. With a tearful farewell to her parents and siblings, the young woman set off from her farmland home towards Limsa Lominsa to enroll at the Adventurer's Guild. A dreamer at heart, she still holds strong to her belief that one day she will become her own story told through the ages.
