Character

Appearance

J'nnai isn't what many consider "feminine" at all. She loves to drink, and she loves to fight. She has a lithe, toned body from constant fighting and movement; her flesh is somewhat tanned and is littered with scars and marks from past fights. Mainly, the few deeper scars on her face. Despite having a lanky body; she tries to "Bulk up" by wearing loose fitting clothes to give the impression she's bigger. Usually, J'nnai's hair is cropped short with it being longer in the front. Unlike her sibling's style- she'll put the longer portions of her hair in clasps or holders to keep it out of her face. Sometimes J'nnai will let it grow out for awhile before she cuts it off again. The color being a deep auburn red with gold highlights in it. During the summer months it begins to lighten into a more crimson toned red; during the Winters or colder months, her hair darkens to almost a deep rusty hue.

J'nnai has mismatched eyes; not too uncommon for Miqo'te. However; despite one being bright blue. The other she usually hides under an eyepatch. Her opposite eye was once a bright rich burning gold. Now though, it's bleached out and almost white. She's nearly blind in one eye. How; she isn't sure. The on going joke with her and her siblings is that she got punched in the face too many times.

First impression/At a glance

J'nnai is the Miqo'te you find off on her own half of the time. Either testing her skills in the fighting rings of the cities, wandering to explore a new area, or just curiously watching from the sidelines. An anomaly for most Sunseekers. Actually. The joke between her sisters is that she should have been a Keeper instead with how she acts. J'nnai is often away from her sisters; but not for negative reasons. J'nnai has high family values and loves her siblings Y'thaeya Kaie and Faeylyn Limsa very much. In her absence, she writes back to her siblings all the time.

Despite her solitary-esque lifestyle, she might appear to be a loner but this isn't always true. J'nnai often tries to surround herself with other Monks or guild members; or even the Amal'jaa she's been working with. If not them, she'll have a pet with her. The urge to be near something is still there. The desire to have a "tribe" still ever burning. After all- safety in numbers. So it's not uncommon for J'nnai to try and make new friends despite her busy-working lifestyle.

J'nnai can be quite outgoing; to most- obnoxious (especially when she's had too much Mead or Ale.) On a first impression, people either really take a shine to her, or absolutely cannot stand her. Between her sharp witted comments (Oft times biting) or her fiery temper. She can either be a lot of fun to be around, or a complete nightmare.

Surprisingly, J'nnai has a feminine voice as opposed to what many people think.

Combat

Don't let her small frame fool you; this Miqo'te packs a powerful punch (Literally.) She uses her fists as her main form of weapon and main style of fighting. Becoming a Monk was probably the best thing that's ever happened to her. She's never been one to use Magic (Unlike her sisters) and is very slowly learning how to use her "chakra." in order to focus her energy into a point ie: her fists. Sadly, J'nnai has little to no healing ability of her own.
Recently; she's been working on learning her way around a Bow and Lance. Also using her chakra to try and infuse energy and magic into her work. But she still has a lot to learn.

Occupation, Skills, and Pastimes

Usually working with the Monks, or the Amal'jaa in the deserts. Though, she often returns to the cities to purchase items, upgrade her weapons, or to find underground fighting rings. J'nnai loves to fight- not to beat the spittle out of something; but to grow. To test her limits and to push further and further. Aside from fighting, J'nnai deeply enjoys music. Singing, dancing, instruments. She would never admit it, but she enjoys dancing and singing in turn. Actually able to do both; she'd never admit to it though- far too shy.

Past Things

Childhood

Growing up in the deserts; mainly the Sagoli. J'nnai's mother was an Oddity. Her mother went from tribe to tribe, mating with the Nuhns there; thus resulting in J'nnai and her siblings- both from different tribes. Even with such odd actions, J'nnai and her siblings were raised to love with an open heart and to love deeply. from what J'nnai was taught, no woman or man is an object to be used. Be it for breeding; or otherwise. That was why her mother basically formed her own miniature tribe consisting of just herself and her children.

J'nnai's fonder memories consist of her childhood years playing in the open desert regions with her sisters. Learning and growing up together as a family.Exploring and finding new things. Outside of the other tribes, and away from most civilization. Living on the land and wilds.

Adulthood

Reaching the age of 17; J'nnai left her mother and family to go off and make a living for herself. The call of freedom and the wild urge to travel taking hold. J'nnai found herself following a traveling group of fighters. Watching their actions in the fighting ring, she was awestruck. Always punching and fighting off the young Miqo'te boys that bothered her and her sisters when growing up in the deserts; J'nnai saw this as a sign. Joining the band of ring fighters, her first ring-fight was a disaster.

J'nnai got her backend handed right back to her. But despite the defeat; she grinned through her bloodied up mouth and vowed to always push herself. To get stronger and stronger, to grow more and more and to never stop. Since then; she has. And through each fight, she's built a name for herself amongst the fighters that traveled around these underground ring fights. J'nnai became known as "The fastest fists of the Sagoli." Known for her blurring movements and hard hitting punches. As she continued to grow, in her early 20's she met an Elezine named Drazaa Hawthorne. The pair falling in love; eventually. J'nnai found herself more and more alone as opposed to having Drazaa at her side. In the end, she found the Elezine fighter with other women. In turn, he acted as if the Miqo'te didn't even exist. Shrugging his shoulders and grinning to his current interest and muttering "Crazy folk." when J'nnai tried to confront him. Leaving him, she found that poison had been spread amongst the other fighters she traveled with.

Drazaa had told them that she was insane, and obsessive. She had taken a one night stand to be love when that hadn't been the case at all. In her anger, J'nnai left the Fighting rings that circulated around the Sagoli and outside areas. Upon hearing word around that same time that her mother had passed away; the urge to just be with family again took hole and J'nnai headed for Ul'Dah. To see her sisters again, and to have her little "tribe" back once more.

Present

Managing to meet up with her sisters; J'nnai has met many, loved and lost, and grown. (to write it all would make this page massive.)

Currently; J'nnai is wandering, working with the Monks and amal'jaa to help with the fight against the Tempered. Often times she'll head into the cities to try and relax and be near other commonfolk again.

This character is split between Gilgamesh and Balmung; I am on both servers and I've designed J'nnais story to where she "travels far away" from her sisters on Gilgamesh in order to play on Balmung. when referencing "Other lands" I'm actually referencing to another server!
