Orpheus was born to a single mother in a small village on an island somewhere near La Noscea, his father having died some time before his birth. Some fifteen years later he lost his mother in a similar manner and ended up traveling to Limsa Lominsa, a place he spent relatively little time in before leaving Eorzea with a group of mercenaries despite his young age.
He returned some years later and has since spent the time doing much the same work. Fighting, killing and protecting for coin. He still bears the scars of his time away from Eorzea, the story writ into his very skin to remind him of what he's lost.

Appearance
Orpheus is a shockingly pink miqo'te, his hair marred with a spray of snow white dye that comes across as uncharacteristically vain considering the unkempt way he keeps his hair. He is notably tall for a miqo'te, a trait matched by his broad body and heavily muscled form, one more common on people acquainted with hard labour than those used to combat, but the calluses on his knuckles and hands show that he's well versed in both. This coupled with the immense number of scars he bears tends to give away that he is no stranger to a fight, something just as readily shown by the fact that he's rarely seen unarmed.
His icy orbs are slitted, obvious proof of his heritage as a Seeker of the Sun, but anyone observant would notice that his teeth are closer to fangs, a trait Seekers decidedly lack. In just about all circumstances, armoured or no, Orpheus is found with a weapon and even more often he has a myriad of pouches on his person, the largest of which sits in the small of back, just in front of the decorative clasp of the odd belt he wears that supports many of these pouches.
A rather notable feature of Orpheus are his ears. They are wide and thickly furred, as is normal for Seekers, however they bear a great deal of earrings, several empty but many filled with various link pearls, each given a separate earring. These earrings are almost eerily silent when he walks, as with the rest of him, but should he flick his ears in conversation they form an oddly musical staccato. His tail is as pink as his hair but is rather Keeper like in its almost wolfish appearance, the long and thick length made more so by the fluffy fur.

Behavior and Personality
Many would describe Orpheus as a man that is quick with a smile and those that spend time in his company are no strangers to his laugh and sarcastic wit. These are traits that the casual observer might mistake for lightheartedness but in reality they disguise his oft flaring anger. When not smiling, his expression is heavy and severe, as if an intense focus holds his attention. Despite his odd combination of traits, he still tends to be a rather amiable person unless someone is fool enough to provoke his anger. He is a man that most would call kindhearted, even if he himself always denies these claims. He has an extremely obvious accent from the Lominsan area and this rough manner of speech along with a slight social awkwardness are often cause for new acquaintances to think him much slower than he actually is.

Orpheus is mostly known for working as a mercenary, however on many occasions he's proven himself willing to do just about whatever is offered. He is not above assisting in seemingly mundane tasks if it allows him to keep coin in his pocket and food on his table. As of late, he has been seen around a tavern named the Laughing Lady and one could easily discover that he has since found employment there as a bartender and guard.
