Character

General

Rena Rubylips (quite possibly not her real name) is a magic student from a rural area of Limsa Lominsa. Having come to the city to further her studies and see the world, she's determined to become a worldly, sophisticated lady in the process. While being a simple healer suits her well, she has aspirations to become a sort of a singing diva, somehow, someday.

Appearance

Rena is short, even for a Lalafell, and is lucky to reach knee-height with most of her acquaintances. Her golden locks frame her round face, which is always, ALWAYS adorned with ruby red lipstick. She gravitates towards the fashionable, glamorous sort of equipment whenever possible, as well as any type of shoe that makes her appear taller. Hats, gloves, and earrings are some of her favorite accessories.

Personality

She's a fairly easygoing gal all things considered, unless someone comments on how short she is or insults her friends. That's an easy way to turn her from all smiles to groin punches. Needless to say, she is quite sensitive about her height, and is quick to anger if made fun of. She puffs up and makes a big scene when confronting rude people, but secretly has no real way of backing up her bluffs.

Growing up, Rena felt like she always got ignored due to her height, so she's always tried to make herself stand out and have more of a presence in other ways. She decided that making herself look sophisticated compared to her very rural peers was one way to do it, and one fateful tube of lipstick later, her trademark was born.

Combat

A healer by training, Rena is always quick to patch up her comrades and keep them in good spirits. Her wind magic is weak, but packs enough of a punch to contribute to a fight. She's dabbled in archery a bit, but is only really interested in singing, so her studies have been a bit neglected on that front.

• An anti-talent: singing! Rena LOVES to sing. Rena CANNOT sing for the life of her. Apparently, everyone is too polite to point this out, or she's simply not listening.

Relationships

Family

Laughing Lamb is her sister... of sorts. Not by blood, which is apparent to anyone who sees them side-by-side, but by more of a quirky kinship. They bicker often, but deep-down, care a lot for each other.

Ellie Fantasterei serves as the motherly figure to them both, again, not exactly biologically-speaking.

Friends

Senia Thunderpaw is a classmate and old friend of Rena's. The two were reunited on their travels and are usually found exploring the realm together.

Segolene Duchamps is a... friend? Let's go with that. The two sometimes have something akin to a comedy routine going, but it's just how they communicate.
