Appearance

History

Rena is a unique Miqo'te from Doma in the Far East, born there with no parents, and then found a family in the Opo tribe who found her alone. She was raised there until she was 12, where she went berserk and wiped out most of the Opo tribe with her excruciating aether. The Nunh of the tribe decided to seal her away in a mountain in Coerthas for years where she stayed there for 8 years until she was saved by a 20-year old Niklas, who, unlike today, was a hardass back then. Rena's story is mostly shared with Niklas, so check his wiki for the story.

After the Calamity, Rena wound up in Gridania away from his foster brother. She has stolen from robbers and gave to the poor, like a Robin Hood, and then met a man named Rutu, who led her back to Ul'dah, and then back to Nik

Personality

She has parts of the typical little sister behavior. She is known to be mischievous and childish, but she is also pure-hearted and loves nature, just like Niklas. In a way, Rena is basically a female Niklas.

Affiliations and Known Associates

Zahara Nunh "I know I can trust him. My heart trusts him." :blushes: A strong and nice Miqo'te Rena found looking at her in front of the Quicksand in Ul'dah. Together they went and had fun at Costa del Sol, and then he defended Rena when Aaron grabbed her tail. While they were chatting, Rena fell in love with him, and Zahara has feelings for her.

Rutu Tutu "This sweet man is who reunited me with my brother!" Rena holds a high standing to this rather flirtatious Lalafell, who guided her from Gridania to Ul'dah for her so she can reunite with her brother, Niklas.

Xuri Tia "He seems like a nice guy! We are both alike in many ways I can tell!" This outgoing Miqo'te is a close follower to Niklas, joining him on his first leve as a Gran Knight, and he holds some respect for Rena for being his sister. Rena and Xuri both know fist-fighting, although Rena is more of a mage actually, and both are orphans, with complicated pasts, so they can relate.

Aaron Glacier "This mean man insulted me! And Niklas doesn't seem to like him that much too, and the other way too!" When Rena first met Aaron, he thought that she was spoiled because she announced herself as Niklas's sister. Already having amnosity for Niklas at the moment, Aaron doesn't think highly of Rena as a result, and vice versa.

However, this unique tail is also a huge weakness, as when grabbed, Rena becomes extremely weakened and unable to move, unless it is let go. Also her eyes glow in the same way as Niklas's does. She also wears a circlet on her head, which also acts as a limiter. When Nik chants a unique phrase, the circlet tightens and hurts Rena greatly until he stops. He only uses this for punishment and if she ever gets out of control.

Strengths

Weaknesses

• If someone grabs her tail, she becomes immobile and is in great pain, unable to do anything.
• She has a short temper. She can be easily raged if someone annoys her.
• She absolutely hates the cold. She doesn't want to set foot in the now snowy Coerthas, which was her previous home.
• She is smart, but she is not very bright, therefore she does not understand half the smart things she says.
• The circlet that she wears is a limiter that calms her and prevents her from going berserk. When it is removed or broken, she becomes a nearly out-of-control berserk monkey girl.

Like Niklas she does not follow a set religion, but she has taken up Azeyma, the Warden as her guardian, as do other Seekers.

Quirks

• She carries marks on her cheeks similar to Niklas.
• She has a large amount of aether in her. Her magic is really powerful as a result.
• She has been under the care of the Opo Tribe in her childhood.

Equipment

Ruyi Jingu Mao (Ideal Gold Hoop Spear) (如意金箍矛): Rena's dual-sided lance that can be separated into two daggers by special means. This dagger-lance actually belonged to her real brother, who was exiled from her tribe by their father, and they kept the unique lance from him. Later he gave it to the Gran family along with Rena before the Opo tribe was nearly wiped out. Its exotic name is because it is compliant and has a golden rim.

OOC Inspirations

• Son Goku: I based her monkey tail and antics on Goku from Journey of the West and Saiyuki, and also her personality is partially based on Goku's. Also her real name is inspired from Son Goku as well
• My sister: This character as a whole is based on my RL sister.
• Journey to the West: Rena's dagger-lance is based and named after the Ruyi Jingu Bang (ideal gold hoop staff), Sun Wukong's weapon.
