Yuuna Akashi is a female midlander hyur hailing from Doma. A member of the Doman military, she is among the few Domans who does not favor the more traditional arts of swordplay, instead preferring to use captured Garlean firearms as her main means of combat. Her role in the Doman military was officially "reconnaissance in force", similar superficially to the task performed by the shinobi, but also fully capable of engaging in extended combat with the enemy should it become necessary. She fled from Doma at the same time as the majority of the refugees fleeing the Garlean extermination campaign, and has since continued in her capacity as a recon agent, scouting Eorzea for useful information to return to Lady Yugiri and the other Doman survivors.
