Appearance

Mena hails from the Silverfang clan, found in the mountains bordering North Shroud and Coerthas. Like most of her clan members, Mena has pallid features, a long fluffy (almost) white tail and similar fur adorning her ears. Her frame is hourglass shaped, with a large bosom and rump and a tiny waist while her arms and legs are weaker then most miqo'te, short and skinny making her inept at long physical treks or melee fighting. Mena doesn't usually wear make-up, instead choosing to keep her appearance natural. Long dark eyes lashes embellish her round blue eyes along with plump, soft lips. Her long, thick light blond hair is usually worn in twin tails or down.

As she spends all her time in Ul'dah working between the Alchemist Guild and the Thaumaturge Guild, Mena usually wears simple but fashionable mage attire along with her signature round glasses or a hat.

History

Mena was born to Rinha Relanah of the Silverfang Clan. Growing up her mother refused to discuss her sire except to say the man was weak. Often would she hear whispers about her father from other Clan members when they thought she was wasn't listening, rumours that he was a heretic working with the Dragons to take down the Holy See. When Mena started showing abilities as a thaumaturge at the age of seven, her clan members insisted she be sent away, believing that such abilities would attract the attention of Dragons and bring down the destruction of their clan. Rinha approached a local elezen in Coerthas who was rumoured to have trained Mena's father in thaumaturgey and he agreed to take Mena on as an apprentice. Mena spent the next several years studying magic under the elder elezen until he passed during the Calamity when she was twelve. Devastated that the only father figure she had ever known has passed Mena bad fortune continued when her apprenticeship was transferred to her old Master's son. The son was less then kind to Mena, delegating house tasks usually reserved for servants to the miqo'te while emotionally abusing her. At the age of sixteen Mena's official apprenticeship ended and she was offered a position as an assistant librarian at the First Dicasterial Observatorium of Aetherial and Astrological Phenomena. Mena continued to work there despite often being talked down by her co-workers till one sun she corrected the work of an Astrologian, an act that embarrassed the proud elezen in question and resulted in her been fired and cast out of the only home she knew.

Lost and alone, Mena wandered the outskirts of Coerthas until she happened upon two adventurers from the Hungry Wolf free company. They offered her a place in the company and she travelled to Ul'dah to join the company. Mena has been with the company for three or four moons now. While she doesn't adventure like her other company members, she is apprenticed under Juno Iskandi to learn more advanced arcanist healing techniques. She also recently completed her studies in Alchemy and is planning to submit a thesis to the Guild in order to gain a grant for further research in using ancient Allagan arcanistry in the transmutation of alchemical materials. Mena has also recently contacted her sire and is hoping to hear news from the man and find out more about her father's side of the family.
