Eorzean units and measurements are based on the USCS system of measurement, if not renamed. Length and distance are measured in ilms (inches), fulms (feet), yalms (yards) and malms (miles), whereas weight is measured in onzes (ounces), ponzes (pounds), and tonzes (Tons).
Whereas originally there existed some confusion when it came to ilms (Commonly specified as an adult Hyuran thumb), as the length of body parts would vary from person to person, Admiral Agatzahr Roehmerlsyn of Limsa Lominsa instuted a standard measure of the ilm in the year 986 of the Sixth Astral Era.
