[edit] Details Personality Relationships Rumors Gallery OOC Notes GENERAL INFORMATION When A'raha Nunh defeated the former in combat the once isolated Antelope Tribe of Doma's plains saw themselves brought to the forefront of the Resistance as per the shifting leadership. A'yenja Dhol, a Huntress, served as the primary consort for a time before producing twins named A'ielia and A'onane. Raised beside others they proved free spirited, prone to wanderlust, precocious, stubborn, and eager to experience whatever the world threw at them with an unchecked fearlessness. A'ielia took up the arts of magic and utilized a peculiar to foster her talent: she possessed the Echo and some of its abilities. Gifted with Aetheric Sight, Linguistic Comprehension, and Clairvoyance to some degree, she proved able to see through camouflage and spells; but also to identify nearby energies and blend them into spells. Tempered by in her teenage years by the loss of her sister to the Garleans that assaulted them, she raged in her adulthood and joined the Resistance as a way to avenge A'onane. With help from allies newly found and some brought together, A'ielia saw the liberation of her people and those too within the Doman Borders; but Ala Mhigo also needed aid and as such? She left with the blessings of her Tribe and journeyed to fight back against the Garleans there. As the fighting came to a strange place of peace and than not, she took what time she could to traverse the lands of Eorzea now open to her and to even see the strange lands of the First. Now left to wander in the wake of the war, she acts in an almost mercenary fashion: collecting what she can to assist others; but always keen of learning. APPEARANCE Slender as she seems, A'ielia is someone whose body contains a decent amount of leaner muscle and overall athleticism. Be it running or swimming long distances, or even staying long in the fight- she seems to have both durability and endurance cut into into her as well. This however does not take away from the fact that she fairly small among her people and stands at below the average for most Miqo'te. Feminine with more subtle curves to her, she often seems tomboyish in appearance and this is only aided by the youthfulness in her vivid green eyes and dewy complexion. Unlike other Seekers who came from the deserts or tropical regions, A'ielia came from the plains of Doma and therefor has some notable differences in how she appears and what her features are. Like many Seekers she has vertically slit pupils, but her fangs are slightly less pronounced in length and her claws seem a bit sharper and longer naturally. Her tail is also long and easily touches the ground but a majority of it's bulk is a thick fur coating, and as with her tail- her ears are larger with an elongated tip and stiffly postured on the top of her head. Thicker 'furred' she has a secondary downy layer of fur in her hair and it gives her a strange look as it puffs her hair ever so slightly. PERSONALITY To the eye and upon meeting her, one might accuse her of being grouchy at best or depressed at worst given her almost pessimistic nature and dark humor; but to anyone who can see through the vain attempts to make herself feel better- she's a caring individual with a deep sense of empathy and compassion for her fellows who uses the rough edges to keep herself from getting hurt. Tempered and patient, she has an almost maternal quality to how she makes cares about her friends and has little issue with mediating fights or squabbles when they happen. Though she has a soured view on the war and the Garleans, it's more recognizable that her hatred of them comes from pain and anguish... from loss. Duty and conviction bind her, and she serves as best she can to help and fight for others, but at times she has trouble getting passed her stubbornness and pride to realize that she herself might need help. Kill them and get it over with, torture and pain are the tools of weaker individuals. ■ Disloyalty. Betrayal is a deeper cut than one can know. ■ Overly Sweet Food. Fermentation is an art, and good beer is hard to find. S T R E N G T H S ■ The Echo. Like many, A'ielia heard the call of something greater than herself and was blessed by it's gift. Able to utilize minor clairvoyance to see the future or glimpse into the past she also found that no matter the language, she could comprehend and speak it back with ease. This was all culminated however to her oddly unique ability: Aetheric Sight. A'ielia herself is actually blind but the Echo gave her the ability to see colors, patterns, and the whole of the worlds as they are in their energy. For some this is troublesome as she can pinpoint Garleans and their technology without fail, and certain other facets stand out as well: forbidden and voidal things that would kill her for seeing them. ■ Heightened Abilities. Due to her natural blindness A'ielia developed a stronger sense of smell, taste, hearing, and touch: thus she has an easier time picking up vibrations and movements; but more importantly it's nigh impossible to sneak up on her due to how strong her senses are. W E A K N E S S E S ■ Sensitivity to Brightness. Her Aetheric Sight has a cost, A'ielia is prone to migraines and headaches, and can easily be blinded for seconds or minutes by a violent and strong enough clash of Aether. ■ Alcoholism. Drinking to kill the pain has made it so that she has developed an addiction that has physical consequences, pushing herself too far makes it obvious that she may only be as strong as she is because she's too stubborn to be seen otherwise. M O T I V A T I O N S ■ 'For Hearth, Home, and Family'. The world is cold and does not care about those within it, it will cannibalize itself if nature pleases; but A'ielia cares and finds herself dedicated to the cause of peace and unity. This keeps her active and out in the world, trying always to secure a better future for her people and those around her. (♥) - Her Matron Character's Thoughts: "The woman that shaped me to who I am" Auelin Wymen-Harte is the daughter of a chieftain of a Tribe of Highlanders in Gyr Abania. She met Ahelissa's father when he was a trader. The two fell in love and after some difficulty, convinced Auelin's father to let her marry Ricard. Together they have 5 Children and live in the Brume in Ishgard. A'raha Nunh, Father. (♥) - Her Guardian Character's Thoughts: "The Man who gave so I could live" Ricard Harte, was born to the prestigious Harte family of traders in Ishgard 25 years prior to the fall of Dalamud. His heart was that of a farmer however, and after marrying Auelin of the morning light they built a farm and had 5 children. Ricard singlehandedly, with no martial training saw his family to the safety of the Holy See in the chaos after Bahamut. A'onane Raha, Sister. (♥) - Her Sister Character's Thoughts: "The Sister that followed my example." Roysa Harte, the second oldest child to Auelin and Ricard Harte, followed in her sister's footsteps to become an adventurer and serve House Savaliere. Unfortunately Roysa was injured gravely during an altercation with the mad (and then baron) Levidian Savaliere. She resides with her family in the Brume while she undergoes lengthy healing techniques ministered by her sister. NON-FAMILY Sif Aurora, Friend and Confidant. (♦) - The Seeker. Character's Thoughts: "The Wind." Ahelissa and Domhnall met while working for Notre Ciel. Their relationship has always been complicated by Domhnall's dislike of magic and their attraction to each other. After the break up of Notre Ciel, Ahelissa agreed to sign onto the New Seeker Order at the behest of Domhnall and Ylaziel. Jihnn Nat'ahn, Friend. (♦✝) - The Black Mage. Character's Thoughts: "The Teacher." Creator and Leader of the Free Mages Guild and all around father figure for mages in general, Ahelissa and Europhos are diametrically opposed in schools of magic but despite this she considers him one of her closest friends while he was alive. Kiki Jinh, Friend. (♦✝) - The Smiling Mage. Character's Thoughts: "The Lost Patient." Where her Husband is father figure for many mages, Miah is very much the mother figure, Ahelissa considers Miah to be among her closest friends while she was alive. Miah recently passed away durning child birth, Ahelissa, as the attending healer did everything in her power to stave off death's hand, but the Twelve saw fit to welcome her into their halls. Andrew Lockhart, Friend. (♦) - The Student. Character's Thoughts: "The Lost." Ahelissa's first Conjury student through the Free Mages Guild. Thea has become a powerful conjurer in her own right. Mentoring a student in the ways of empathy and healing can be a very touching experience for those involved and as such, Ahelissa is very close to Thea. Matthew Ackerman, Friend. (♦) - The Student. Character's Thoughts: "The Mender." Another adept of Conjury met through the Free Mages Guild, After their initial meeting they became fast friends. Iona also helped Ahelissa nurse Domhnall Ainfean back to health after he was attacked by Sharlayan Assassins, for this Ahelissa holds a very deep respect for the woman. Akimoto Kazuma, Friend. (♦) - The Trainer. Character's Thoughts: "The Homeless Warrior." Being the trainer of House Savaliere, Daro was one of the first to put Ahelissa through her paces after she joined Notre Ciel, she has a healthy respect for the man as a warrior and considers him a good friend. Kasumi Wiloh, Friend. (♦) - The Unlikely Partner. Character's Thoughts: "The Dragon." As Ahelissa's counterpart, she and Kaine have a close working relationship. A self taught Astrologian, Ahelissa has a respect for both the man's mind and spear arm. She considers him a good friend. Khai Qestir, Friend. (♦) - The Guard. Character's Thoughts: "The Stalwart." Once a patient with a grave wound at the Clinic, Deamon has since become a guard for the doctors at the clinic, a duty he takes very seriously. She considers him a good friend and trusts him to watch after her on the battlefield should she need to take to the fight. Arya Schillton, Friend. (♦) - The Mercenary. Character's Thoughts: "The Shadow." Originally a mercenary under the employ of Domhnall Anifean. Ahelissa met Ylaziel in earnest when both her and Isycar Heilrendre needed treatment at the Savaliere clinic. Ylaziel's small frame and quiet demeanor evoke a motherly feeling in Ahelissa giving her a soft spot for the little Au'Ra, she has since come to consider Ylaziel a good friend.. Sparky Z, Friend. Longtime friend and fellow Conjurer from Stillfane Glade, Kaelen grew worried at Ahelissa's extended absence and came to Notre Ciel to find her. After some discussion, he agreed to join Ahelissa at the clinic to help ease the burden from his beleaguered friend. Personal RP Limits I do not ERP, nor do I involve myself with story arcs that bring torture or harm to children. Yes, implying something happend in the past is fine, but Ahelissa is the sort of person that would instantly step in and put a wrench in the works for stories that revolve around those things. ■ I will playRescue of said suffering children.. Happy endings for the little ones is my only requirement, most other things I am open to if you send a tell first so that we can clear up any grey areas. ■ I won't playAhelissa and her family are off limits. CHARACTER TIDBITS Potential Plot Hooks Ahelissa was sent home to Ishgard after the fall of the Stone Vigil and hailed a hero before she was granted her Knighthood with the Dragoons. People will occasionally recognize her for this. ■ A prolific healer, Ahelissa is always helping people whever she can - it's entirely possible she's treated you in the past if you've passed through Gridania and been refused treatment by Stillfane Glade. ■ She trains Conjury at Stillfane Glade, if your character is a Conjurer or White Mage it's possible she's helped you in your education of Conjury. ■ Ahelissa is a Hearer and recognized by Gridania as being a Hearer, as such, she does conduct official business for Stillfane Glade from time to time. ■ Ahelissa has fought with the Warrior of Light on at least two occasions, it's possible that someone who did the same fought at the same battles as them.
