| − | Angora was born in a small, quiet settlement on top of fertile land. The Garleans attacked when she was young. The peaceful tribe tried to surrender in hopes of keeping their homes. Instead the invaders killed the Nuhns, one of which was Angora’s father, along with any high-ranking Tias. Then they burned the place to the ground before rounding up the rest of the tribe. Anyone who was left was shipped off to Garlemald to be slaves in the mines and factories.

She was kept there for most of her life as a child and teen and her time there caused her to become sensitive to light and to lose her tanned skin that Seekers of the Sun are known for. Angora remained there until the Meteor Project began where she was randomly chosen to go along on the ships to serve the higher-ranking officers. It was there where they marked her as a highly important (and recognizable) slave for both her strength and her looks. They branded her and forced her to pledge her loyalty to the empire.
