Ashenne 'Ash' Hacin is a Duskwight Elezen hunter originally hailing from the Twelveswood, who is now affiliated with the Free Company, Midnight's Envoy.
Personality
Ashenne is a little flirty and incredibly calm, taking most things in stride. Her calm, slightly aloof exterior hides a painful backstory and the fact that she is, effectively, an outcast and exile from her family and home. She dislikes the Twelveswood, if only because of the memories associated with it, and tends to avoid it whenever possible, despite the fact that one of her closest friends both hails from and lives primarily in the Twelveswood.
History
Born in Gridania's Twelveswood, Ashenne was the third child of seven born to her parents, Eaulette and Shaivent. Her childhood was fairly typical of nomadic Duskwight Elezen, with her being trained in hunting and gathering by her parents. As such, Ashenne is a talented hunter and tracker of both game and people, and excellent at disguising her presence in the forests of the Twelveswood. However, while her childhood was fairly unremarkable, she did eventually come to resent her parents and their way of life.
At the age of eighteen, Ashenne was betrothed to another Duskwight, Dochax Riesibeur. Although the engagement was not her choice, Ashenne decided to honour her parents' wishes and go ahead with the marriage, despite her reservations about her intended fiancé. Unfortunately, the marriage did not go as intended. Ashenne ended up pregnant by Dochax and fled the Twelveswood – as a result, she miscarried the child and nearly died in the process. In her escape, she met a certain Miqo'te by the name of Arikane Kurogane, who saved her life.
During her wanderings, she eventually found herself in Ul'dah, where she was recruited into Midnight's Envoy by the late Sid. Upon joining the Envoy, she became acquainted with one Marius Draco, who she eventually became romantically involved with.
Current Status
Ashenne is currently employed as a mercenary/adventurer-for-hire for Midnight's Envoy. However, she is currently taking a break from fieldwork, as she is with child.
Relationship & Familial Status
Currently, Ashenne is with child and is most concerned with her health and keeping the child. The father of the child, Marius Draco, is her current romantic entanglement, which wasn't exactly what she planned when she began the relationship with him.
