Despite Final Fantasy XIV's rather limited customisation options, Aurelia does not have a face claim. Her face is as currently displayed, albeit lacking the Garlean forehead gem.
Aurelia's first, and only, major engagement is the cause of this trait. Once they were long and golden locks befitting a noblewoman, but are now a forever ominous shade of blue. Aurelia had fought admirably, but in the chaos found herself within spitting distance of a ceruleum fire. The fuel ignited and the resulting fireball engulfed the immediate vicinity, burning her as she sought cover. Aurelia made a full recovery but requested the attending medicae leave her hair as it were; a solider's rite of passage, in her purview.
Aurelia's eyes are like the frozen landscape of Garlemald itself, as is immediately telling with direct relations to the Ferrum family. Receiving a glare from her can be understandably intimidating, like a chill of ice with a hidden fire beneath. They also garner a reputation for their pale blonde hair, despite it being a common trait in the Empire. Aurelia even more so with her condition.

- Aurelia's speech and general disposition are objective, she conducts herself in a very "A to B" manner.
- She'll often turn her nose on trivial matters, as well as those whom she believes invest too much attention in them.

A preserved weapon first manufactured over fifty years prior. Incorporates a dated single-shot system of half-ilm slug ammunition.
Operates on a revolving chamber mechanism. Like her gunblade, a precursor of the modern magitek equivalent.
An identification tag worn by military personnel, primarily used in the event of identifying casualties.
Developed for use with old Garlean Republic gunblades, the Orba variant of slugs were designed primarily for marksmanship.

Note: The Echo is a rare ability that special individuals possess, some can resonate with the souls of other people and experience their past. Gifted characters in Aurelia's presence may experience one of these memories, but the circumstances remain strictly at my discretion.

You suddenly find yourself engulfed with the bitter cold of winter, and ahead of you is...nothing, frozen tundra as far as the eye can see. The wind howls, carrying with not only a gust of winter chill, but the cacophony of machinery from some distance behind you. You turn from the vast empty and spy a large citadel-like structure of perhaps Garlean architecture? Its very highest tip piercing the low cloud overhead and as you cast your gaze downward, a haunting blue glow bounces off its lower foundation. Strange. One foot after the other, you trudge through the snow towards the looming complex. [You pass what appears to be a target used for archery. bullet whizz past. timid soldier holding two-handed gunblade. aurelia in valkryie wargear with mask on] "A-Apologies, m'lady...The sound, a-and the kickback, I can't help but tense up..." Aurelia turns towards the tundra in the bullet's direction, practically gazing right at you before turning back to the man. "Cowardice and incompetence, aan Mateo? Perhaps I should have you brave the tundra until you locate each and every one of your stray bullets." It sounds like a jest, although her voice is augmented with a mechanical undertone, it's hard to say for certain. "Please don't give the order, that's a death sentence!" "Then do better." "I cannot." "You can and you shall. That's my order." "I seem to recall that the short remainder of your tenure here is mine duty, is it not?" |

I am very strict on established lore, but if there are grey areas or plausible scenarios I encourage your own head canon. Characters need to feel like they belong in the world together, and so I believe the established canon is what binds our characters together more than roleplay itself. My knowledge on canon isn't perfect, and I'm happy to correct and be corrected.
My characters can fight and do so expertly in their respective disciplines. When faced with another combat-capable opponent, I will follow the honour system of dice rolls. If faced against a novice, I reserve my right to dictate the outcome of the encounter. I expect a measure of common sense during fights, so any "special moves" or limit break abilities are at a GM's discretion, used sparingly to avoid depreciation, and only if they fit the situation. In terms of power they are scaled to be believable e.g. Anaguma's signature Jonetsudan will not blow through a blast door made of cermet, try as he might.
I'm good for most dark themes, and I rarely take offense to anything. But I ask that we discuss the following if a scenario were to present them.
