Character
♦ General
Growing up on the streets of Doma, at the age of five years old, Ayane always wandered around. Looking for food, drinks, a place to stay. A small village is what she called Home as she mostly tried to survive by stealing from local stores, or rob people. As one day, she was taken in by a Raen couple. The mother, having a kind soul, saw Ayane as her own child, and wanted to raise her with love and care. The Father however, was a drunk, and had a strong hatred towards the Xeala. As Ayane moved in, she quickly learned that it was a bad idea to do so. Seeing how the Father badly treated his wife, and harassed and beaten her up everyday. Ayane was also a target of this, seeing how the hatred was mostly aimed at her. Day in and day out, she was being hurt, mistreated, and handled as garbage. When one day, she could not take it anymore. And felt like something had to be done. She grabbed a knife from the kitchen, and hid it in the sleeve of her clothes. As the Father started to beat his wife once more, Ayane waited her chance. Like a hunter waits for its prey. As the Father approached her, and raised his hand, Ayane has no second thoughts, as she jumped up, and sliced the Father's throat. As he fell on the ground, and bleeded to death. The Mother being horrified, but also somehow relieved of this act, decided to keep Ayane close to her, and give her the name: Ayane Mayuzuma. At the age of seven however, Ayane decided that she wanted to become stronger, to protect herself. As she grabbed her things, and left the house without saying anything. As she joined the town's local Mercenary band. The group started to laugh at her first, and thought she was making a joke. But she quickly proved her worth by solving a mission, and became known over the years as the youngest Shinigami (Or God of Death).
♦ Appearance
Ayane has long, black hair, with red stripes going through it. It combines her favorite colors, as she likes the combination of those. Her eyes are an odd color, as one eye is blue, and the other one is red. Having this at birth, she always though that one of her original parents had a set of red eyes, and the other blue ones, and that she somehow got both colors. She has a couple of scars on her arms and legs, from her battles as a mercenary. She mostly wears dark colored clothing, but can be seen with brighter colors sometimes. She always carries her trusted blade, that was made by her friend, Lloyd. The blade has a slot in the hilt, and can be mistaken for a Garlean weapon. Although the blade's looks are based on it, it is not a Garlean weapon however.
♦ Personality
Ayane is very cold towards people she just meets. Always giving a cold gaze, and not saying a lot. When known better though, she can be warm, and compassionate. She mostly keeps up a neutral position in most things, but gets more involved as soon as friend or loved one is part of a situation. She mostly acts on instinct, and will always act more on intuition than anything else. When given enough time however, she can be very tactical and think things through. She also has a thing called Cute Mode if she sees something that she thinks is cute or adorable, she can get very happy and cheery in a matter of seconds. Mostly claiming how cute and adorable said thing is. She mostly wants to hide this to uphold her cold and strong exterior.
Intrests
Likes ♦ Whiskey This is her standard drink, as she always orders this at the bar. She likes most alcoholic drinks, but thinks Whiskey is the best one.
♦ Fair Fighting Ayane likes a good and fair fight. As she always wants to improve herself, and see different kinds of strengths from other people.
♦ Fireworks Ever since she was little, she always watched the fireworks at the Heavensturn event. Always remembering that event when the times are tough, beautiful things still can happen.
Dislikes ♦ Weak People Ayane has a hate towards the people that cant defend themselves. She thinks they are a waste of time, and that they should learn to fend for themselves
♦ Heights and Airships Ever since Ayane could remember, she was afraid of heights. As soon she is in a high place, or rides an airship, she freezes up, and becomes very silent. She'd rather avoid this at any cost .
♦ Garleans Since she grew up in Doma, she has a very strong hate for Garleans. She would kill any Garlean who is part of the empire without any second thoughts.
Hobbies♦ Reading Ayane loves to read and study in her free time. As she is always very curious to learn, she mostly reads books about history, or things related to combat. She recently started to read things about Aether and magic as well. She secretly likes romantic novels.
♦ Traveling She likes to explore new lands, and see new things. Doing this a lot with her fiance, she has seen a lot of Dravania lately. Her favorite spot so far is Tailfeather, as it is surrounded by wildlife. Seeing how she always was outside, she developed a certain love for the outside life.

- ♥ ♥ Traumatic Trigger - One day, Ayane was sitting at the Quicksands, trying to figure out more about her blade. Seeing how it held many mysteries, she was desperate to find out. As she overheard a woman talk about machines and technology. She turned around and saw a tall Elezen woman. Weapons covering almost every part of her body. As Ayane approached her, and asked her if she maybe knew anything about her weapon. The woman inspected the weapon, and told her that she should try inserting other things into the hilt of her blade. Like Materia, or crystals instead of shards. After this exchange, the two had some conversations here and there. And developed a friendship. Ayane however, saw that Trauma was more then just a friend quickly, and asked her to be her Mentor. She wanted to learn how to become a better, stronger mercenary. Trauma agreed, and they grew even closer. Ayane even started to develop feelings for her, as she told Trauma how she felt. Trauma explained she felt the same way about Ayane, as they shared their first kiss, and became a couple after. Now after many hardships and experiences, they are soon to be wedded. Ayane trusts Trauma with her life, and will do anything to protect her if necessary.

- ♦ Kota Kha - Kota and Ayane met in Pearl lane, when a women called Shin was shot. Ayane walked into the scene as she met Kota, and a few other people. They wanted to hunt the one who shot Shin, and Ayane didn't believe they could defend themselves. Testing their will to battle, Ayane got quickly beaten, as she underestimated them greatly. Kota and Ayane talked a few more times after this event, and quickly became friends. As Kota even became one of her closest friends, Ayane tries to impress her in the ways of magic, as she wants to be even stronger then Kota.
- ♦ Kraze Sunila - Having met in the Quicksands, and knowing of each other's existence cause of Goldbrand, the two had a simple chat, as Ayane asked to spar with her. Kraze accepted right away, as the two had a battle that lasted for quite a while. Ayane won barely, as she found great respect in Kraze. The two quickly became friends, and are on good terms ever since.
- ♦ Sigfred Bearclaw - After Ayane forgot some stuff at Costa del Sol, she walked into Sigfred. The man having zero intention to hurt, and gave Ayane a friendly smile instead, Ayane didn't trust the man at first at all. But she quickly learned that Sigfred had a heart of gold, and was both loyal and friendly. The two quickly came on good terms, as Ayane introduced him to her plans of creating her own Mercenary group. Now they work together on missions when needed, and can call Sigfred for help anytime.

- ● Kuro Solaire - After losing a very embarrassing fight at the Grindstone, Ayane ran into Kuro and Ayla. As she raised her eyebrow at the captain, it became known very soon that Kuro had no fear. As Ayane threaten to stab him, and pointed his blade towards him, as Kuro just walked up to the blade with a smile on his face. Ayane was very surprised by this, as she decided to lower her blade, and listened to what he want. Kuro offered her a couple of jobs for Goldbrand, as she now works with them in various missions. She however, doesn't know Kuro that well yet, so she mostly stays silent around Kuro, and doesn't say much. Kuro has offered her a couple of times to join Goldbrand, but Ayane declined for various reasons...
- ● Ayla Moenwyb - Meeting at a very unfortunate time, Ayla was checking out Ayane's now ex boyfriend, as he had no shirt on. Ayla told to Ayane that the boy should Always keep his shirt off. As Ayane of course, took offense to this. Since that day, Ayla and Ayane always have been very toxic towards each other. They even had to work together in a mission from Goldbrand, as it went not so well, and almost blew up the campsite they had to take goods back from. Although in the days, they are starting to slowly talk on better terms with each other, they still have a certain hate towards each other.

- ↓ Volcatia Volturcius - A woman Ayane met in the quicksands, and trough rumors when a woman called Shin was shot. Ayane went to investigate, as the woman known as V was standing in the Quicksands. She wanted to question her, as the woman known as V, started to play the innocent type, and claimed that Ayane was trying to kill her. After a very long and hard talk, Ayane convinced her to go outside the gates of nald, as she asked her questions, and even checked her body for any clues. But no dice. There even were rumors going around that she was a Garlean, what upset Ayane even more. Now always keeping a eye on her, she wants to make sure that the rumors are true, so she can take V out.
- ↓ Shin Nelhah - The woman who was apparently shot in Pearl lane by V. Ayane met her, and found out she has a very bad personality. After meeting a couple of times, Ayane did not like her at all, and thinks she is weak. Seeing how Ayane would not waste time on the weak, she had no interest in her. Shin told her to leave V alone, as Ayane replied to make her. The two has been on bad terms ever since.
