Azri'a is somewhat below average in Miqo'te height, though he is fit with impeccable reflexes. He has medium blue-gray skin with soft and fluffy hair and fur of a similar shade. Eyes are a deep sky blue, either looking out at the world with discernment or wonder. Eyelashes are dark, and eyelids are decorated with a brighter shade of blue, which is an aesthetic personal choice. He is not without scars on his body and face. His tail has a standard feline shape.

Personality

This Keeper keeps true to the stereotypical behavior of his clan; he is serious, quiet and often appears to be brooding. Possessing the finesse and attitude of a true soldier, he may give off a cold aura. He takes his work seriously and may be critical of others as well. Though he prefers to work alone, Azri'a is not against teamwork if it helps to achieve a common goal. He internalizes most of his feelings and is slow to warm up to other Eorzians, though once one is able to break past his aloof barrier, they would be surprised to discover his more playful, gentle and nurturing side. He is determined and seems to remain calm in any given situation, though it's unclear as to whether this ability was harnessed from training or his personality alone. As a Keeper of the Moon, it is in his nature to treat women young and old with utmost respect.

History

Azri'a was born to biological mother Azri Mayuun, a Coeurlclaw in the Black Shroud. Born into a family of poachers, it seemed that his fate was set in stone. At no more than five years old, his encampment was laid under siege by a raid of adventurers. Witnessing the bloodshed firsthand, it wasn't long before the poachers were almost completely wiped out. One bystanding adventurer, however, took notice of the small and scared Azri'a and decided to rescue him from the carnage and take him under her wing. Midlander Lynne Cobalt of Limsa Lominsa, a woman of noble deeds, soon decided to retire from raiding parties of mass slaughter and instead switched her focus to raising her newly adopted Miqo'te child.

Azri'a was slow to warm up to Lynne, as he was traumatized by seeing his many aunts killed before his eyes. Lynne made a great effort to eventually earn Azri'a's trust and love. Despite this, he did respect Lynne as a soldier and aspired to become one as well. He soon became Lynne's trainee, and by the time he reached his late teens and learned the entire truth behind his adoption, he finally grew fond of Lynne and looked up to her as his mother.

Finally the two of them could live in harmony as mother and son. Though a few years later, Lynne was called on by the Maelstrom on a covert mission of great importance but little detail. Bidding an emotional farewell to her son, she left Azri'a to make a living on his own, which he was fully ready for but reluctant nonetheless. Since then he has heard no word of her well-being.
