Basile Feurieux
[edit]
The concept of balance is deemed one that not many will ever truly obtain as it requires both an equal level of luck and trial to accomplish. Yet, Sir Feurieux has grown into what more would claim is the great mixture of conviction and ferocity. The poise and gait of a man destined to fight for his family, his people, and his morals, the eloquent voice of an Ishgardian, and host to a complex personality that is swift to turn violent or compassionate based on the chosen impetus. Basile is a man that, regardless of his somewhat simple background, can display traits that are remarkable beyond the established norm. Though not exactly an infamous Knight of Ishgard, Basile is known for his increasingly good morals and for having a generally impressive temperament. Generally, he follows the laws in place with general respect. However, the man believes that all laws have limitations, and people that suffer because of those limitations require assistance that the law cannot bring. Whilst always in the shadow of his former master's mistakes, Basile can but attempt to mend the damages done by his former oath-keeper. The complex foundations of Baisle's personality are veiled by a simple series of traits that are more easily seen by only a quick view. The Knight, however complex his ambitions and morals, only wishes to protect those who deserve ample protection.
Chivalry gave the man naught for good features and dashing looks. Though the two have little connection, Basile’s structures show the completed blossoming of youth mixed with the development of one in their second decade of life. One does not mistake Basile for a young boy, however. His face, featuring developed (hardly perfect) lines of maturity, could certainly be considered handsome.
The man stood tall for a Midlander, armor demanding attention that is certainly deserved. Though not terribly extravagant, his armor effortlessly creates an impending figure that provides impressively protective qualities. Each piece of plate was an onyx black, from breastplate to sabaton, from tasset to vambrace, and from pauldron to gauntlet. Although, the armor was not perfect. Each piece displayed a certain degree of hard use in both practice and battle. However, Basile ensured that the outer plate was repaired and kept to top shape. Beneath the thick coating of leather strapped plate was a thin layer, though strong, of complex, metal-linked chainmail. The whole multi-level of shell allowed for Basile to have the protection that a Knight required. His sword, a steel-grey length of steel topped by an jagged hilt and cross guard, is an expensive tool for destruction. Holding the bottom of the sword together, the pommel features a curved shape, featuring a sharp edge that can be used seamlessly as a cutting utensil if required. Forged in the hot embers of Ishgard's forges, the blade holds a strong edge that begs to slice through the nearest object of desire. Important Features:
A man of swift purpose is often one who would lack intelligence, guile, and a strong foundation of thought on which to base his actions. Yet oddly enough, Basile displays a good balance of both executive and vigilant judgement that defies boundaries placed before him. A man of little hesitation, he will cut circle in straightest line, doing his duty in whatever form is required.
The more kind and loyal side of him was not as common as one might believe. Alongside the equivalent level of unmatched emotional compassion and loving embrace, Basile, much like his eyes, was a storm that could become deadly when provoked. He was, though a believer in what is right, not one to be pushed so easily beyond return.
