This character article or section of a character article is a stub -- a small, but growing, work in progress. If you're the creator of this character, why not consider expanding it?

Cima Fhae [see-ma • f/r/-ay] is a refugee of the Twelveswood who migrated with the remnants of her family during the Calamity. They have since come to call Ul'dah their "home" despite struggles with living in a social world. With five cycles of experience under her belt, Cima has gotten better at managing the alien nation and dangers of assimilation. To fund her family, she offers herself as a hireling - putting particular emphasis on the deftness of her sticky fingers. Above all else, she seeks to protect and support her family and rediscover the wild ways of her past. Some remarkable shinies wouldn't hurt either.

Appearance and Personality Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ

Cima in Thanalan
Height/Weight: 4 fulms 8 ilms, approx 90 ponz
Build: Waifish, runner
Complexion: Keeper fairness
Hair Colour: Ash-blonde
Eye Colour: Wisteria-purple

Pixie-like and petite with airy limbs, Cima is a "wisp of smoke." Designed to be more of a gatherer than a hunter, what she lacks in strength she makes up for in agility. Her facial features are rather thin and small as well, except her eyes - large and expressive (and purposely shadowed by lines of kohl). Her hair, once long and untamed, has been cropped short to combat Ul'dah's unyielding heat. She likes to style it tastefully mussy and adorn it with various baubles, if possible. Distinguishable markings include blue-purple crescent moons on her outer-face (as tribute for Menphina's boon) as well as a tattoo of a chocobo feather on her right calf. Cima has a graceful gait and greets the world with a small, impish smile.

Burns easily in sunlight.
Smells of tobacco and herbs.
Voice is boisterous and bubbly.

Story Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ

The Fhae

Settled in the Twelveswood, the nomadic clan consisted of both immediate and extended blood. They were mostly recluses with a strong sense of family, custom and a preference for freelance work. Each tribe-member was "expected to be of use" and apprentice under a Mamha, perpetuating and honing a specific skill for survival (though the young would pick up various traits from their teachers).

Great-Mamha Sia, Story-teller and Ritualist
Mamha Vica, Protector
Mamha Euna, Artist
Mamha Mira, Magician
Mamha Nea, Tinker
Mamha Risa, Thief

Stories and song were vital and sacred to the group, and their culture was rooted in oral tradition. Each Fhae was raised to express themselves bodily, participating in Great-Sia's stories with physical representations and joining in harmonious, drum-propelled dance. Nea was responsible for their instruments and elaborate costumes, Risa was in charge of teaching dexterity and flow to the children and Mira, how to incorporate (their own version of) thaumaturgy in self-expression, higher understanding and prayer. So the Fhae never saw themselves under "some strict family code," rather... they had fun. And they were family - the heartbeat of many meeting as one. For an onlooker within the Twelve's labyrinth, they would see explosive, vibrant orbs of light dancing among the trees accompanied by whooping, drumming, and laughter.

However, this fundamental characteristic of their clan-life was not meant for outsiders, and they were under the rule that they would not present their "light-filled spirits" to strangers. Fhae normally only met foreigners quarterly (sooner, if necessary) when they visited the Shroud's hamlets or city to barter their services (and why the apprenticeship between Mamha and young was required). A tent for trade would be constructed on the outskirts of the town with wares that included: crafts (instruments like rattles and drums, wood carvings like masks and pipes), plants (be it for diet, medicinal value or other), fish, spells, as well as services such as: repairs, palmistry, fortune-telling (tarot cards), and clandestine procurement (thievery).
