Basic Info

Dacein Vallerimont was born to a wealthy merchant Family in Gridania. His family had roots back in Ishgard but had since pulled out long ago, their name pretty much forgotten in Ishgard by now. His faily kept their heritage alive and would often regale him of stories of the Royal Knights or the fearless Dragoons that fought against the dragon hordes. He grew up running through the dirt paths of the Shroud clutching his small wooden sword a carpenter carved for him, a gift to get into the good graces of the wealthy Elezen merchant family.

He was a bit smaller for his age and was occasionally picked on and bullied for his size. Recognizing their son was having trouble his family shipped him off to Boarding schools across the globe where he learned to read and write under the eye of the finest scholars and professors that the world could produce. He learned to behave and act like a gentlemen, to be polite and courteous. He was taught the value of saving and investing for his future, and he excelled at these things.

He seldom saw his parents, only seeing them if they happened to be passing through the area of whatever School he was currently attending. Upon his 18th Birthday and learning from books as much as he thought He could take, he loaded up his bags and traveled abroad, his investments fueling his desire to explore. As he was traveling one day he came across a group of Lancers standing in a field. Remembering the stories of Dragoon and the Knights of Ishgard instantly lit a fire in him, and after a negotiable price of a large sum of gil, they took him in with them and taught him how to weild lance and sword, how to draw a bow and to throw a knife. It wasn't long until he was considered a valued member of the group and they traveled around helping where needed, for a small amount of coin that is. It wasn't long before he began to feel guilty for taking coin from those in need and he departed from the group and headed home, to Gridania.

At this point he wasn't quite sure what he thought of his parents, sending him off at such a young age and having only seen him a few times since his departure from Gridania. He decided to pay them a visit out of respect, and respect only so he headed there immediately. As he was still some days off, rumor reached his ears that his family were no longer well off. A rival family had swooped in and undercut his families business and as such his family had departed to an unknown destination. The news saddened him a bit but he felt no terrible remorse. He continued on into Gridania, wondering if anyone would recognize him..... *current roleplay begins here*

Looks & Mannerisms

Dacein is shorter for an Elezen but a fierce jawline and dark eyes peering out from jet black hair hanging loose into his face deters any question if he is an adult or a teenager. He is strong and his body is well toned and muscular, evident of the last few years spent in training. He has a large gash on his right cheek from a fight he got in when he was with the Lancers.

His mannerisms are very elegant and professional and he talks with a softer voice, knowing that actions behind words speak louder then the words themselves spoken verbally. He is confident and unwavering when he sets his mind on something. He is diligent and loves to accomplish his goals

Combat/Abilities

Proficient with the lance, he can be a worthy opponent, but outside a few fights he does not have much combat experience. He knows how to wield a sword & shield, and is capable with a bow in his hands. He does not have any experience with two-handed weaposn, save for his lance. He looks to change that if he can find someone to mentor him
