With black hair, and bright blue eyes, pointy ears that were destined to sprout and shoot from her head like many other of her race. But that day, they had only gave each other a cursory glance, a scowl and up-turned nose. They both saw themselves the better. But, years would pass, and the time they were forced to share would bring them close. From one year to the next, their love would bloom. Dates, hide aways and running to meet each other when ever the other had arrived in town. Kezia and Domino would grow to be inseparable.

But, passion still bloomed between the two beings, and so did the woman follow. And follow she did, from troubled scenarios to arguments. They seemed to be star crossed. But much of it changed after they had met a certain man, hooded, and with a Cheshire smile did he lure even the small Lalafell man in. Ike was always happy.

And for awhile it did not matter, they were in it through thick and thin. From injuries and pain to the best of days. But, as they delved deep in a lost ruin in the Sagioli one fateful day did everything seem to change. They were separated from each other. Domino had fallen to a lower level, Kezia trapped behind a collapsing passageway, and Ike, after being stung by a vesper out of seeming inattention, wandering off into the darkness of a corridor. It was merely a flash in Domino's iridescent eyes. He looked up, far far above was a tiny hole he fell through to some hundred of feet below. But why was he not dead? He was moving, or he thought he was, something gripped his hand, from below and outstretched it. And as the two met would pale green light flash all around. With burning in his heart and hands would he find the world fading to black. It would be a week before he awoke, in a bed with his lover coiled about him. Or more so, he coiled with his lover. Two pale green alchemical symbols burned into both of his palms. After the recuperation, and the recognition of what those symbols did, would they set out again. They were on the right path.

Formed entirely from the darkness it seemed to replace it all with red light. Kezia was slain, ever so quickly by a blow she had not expected. The beast was quick, yet it seemed to be a hunched creature with spindly arms and long legs. The rest was a blur for Domino. Ike had run off through some doorway or other, and would find the stone to not be exactly what he was looking for. And Domino, Domino was left to run. To leave his love behind, something that has haunted him for the years to come. Now he searches for the stone, not for wealth but to bring the one he lost back.
