Information

Elyscia (E-Ly-Cie-Ah) Rose is a very inept and inexperienced whelp. Raised by a Hyur family in a little xenophobic, Hyur-only community.

When she finally left her village the people she met along her journeys, in the small towns and big cities, were perplexed to find just how naive and ignorant she was to everything outside of the safe little countryside community she refused to call 'home'.

History

Without reason, a cry which sounded of babe mewling in the woods were found by a Hyur-couple - they didn't know what to make of it, what it was, why it was left there... a child with feline-ears and a tail.. All they knew was that they couldn't just leave an infant. The surrogate parents both tried to raise her lovingly - with the help of her numerous surrogate brothers and sisters, however, as time moved on, so did the secret resentments, bitterness.. the other farm folk didn't like Elyscia: they called her a freak. The 'father' eventually gave-up trying to raise her and would refuse to acknowledge her, treating her as though she were a real animal - not even a beloved pet worthy of respect. Her siblings, the cruellest of all as children often were, would join in the bullying and berate her along side the rest of the youths. And, the 'mother' tried very hard to do all she could before encouraging her to leave for Ul'Dah, for a better life - but angry, young, Elyscia took it as being unwanted. Nobody wanted her. She wasn't sure what love was, and everything frustrated her.

As hard as her life was growing up though, Elyscia strove to make a change for herself; she wanted to try and make friends even though it was so hard. She somehow managed to fake her confidence under a guise of stubborness, defiance: she did not care if she came across as stupid for all she wanted to do was to learn.

She met K'laka Tia - or rather, he introduced himself to her - who seemingly came from nowhere and offered to help her stand on her own two feet, and to get her bearings around the despicable dog-eat-dog world which is Ul'Dahn life. It was discovered much later that it was Momodi who convinced K'laka to lend a hand to Elyscia because of their similar struggles in life (and because Momodi is a gossipy Lalafell who loves playing Matchmaker and wanted Elyscia to share stories of any men she warms a bed with). However, they both could not stand each other: he would call her an insufferable whelp, she would call him a Godsdamned aldgoat. They both would insult each other; far too stubborn and with senseless pride to ever let-up, boiling each other's blood and even becoming almost physically aggressive towards one another.
