Appearance & Personality

Height - 5 fulms 1 ilm
Weight - 120 ponze
Eye Color - Left Blue, Right Green
Skin Color - Erin's quite pale for someone living within the hot sun of Thanalan. Her attire for working outdoors supports this, as she normally wears heavier clothing and hats in an attempt to protect her from stray sand blowing in the wind.
Body - Erin has a slightly lean figure, all but more pudgy namely in her hips and cheeks. She doesn't appear to have much of a muscular build in anywhere else besides her arms, sculpted mainly from lifting crates back and forth and doing garden work. In edition, Erin has a set of pointed ears, and a tail that reaches no longer than her knees- common traits of a Miqo'te.
Additional Features - Erin's hands and face are often shown to be covered in dirt from working outdoors. However, she normally bathes when either going out to the Markets or when handling food. She has a scar running across her left cheek from a run-in with a Marmot when attempting to learn Archery. Erin also shows to have a bit of balance issues. Due to not being used to being a few inches shorter than her original height and the new addition of a tail, Erin relies on either staying on the ground, standing stiffly on the floor, or leaning against other objects for support.
Voice - Erin's voice is quite quiet, mostly consisting of mumbling and stuttering. When talking to familiar faces, her voice slightly increases in volume, and sounds less wobbly.
Personality - Erin overall aims to be a successful food vendor and fully embrace the life of Mercantile. Wanting to view more more of the world and seeing the amount of merchants coming in and out of Ul'dah was enough of an influence to get her started.
Erin tries to be as outgoing as she can even though she prefers to stay quiet and observe the world around her. She does have moments where she speaks up every now and then, but it doesn't last very long. She is also a bit self-conscious about what others think about her, so she tries not to be the center of attention.
It's quite difficult to make Erin angry. But when she is, its caused mostly by constant nagging or annoyance. Locking herself away and giving her some time to herself is her method of venting.
Erin also appears to be slightly skittish. It's almost easy to startle and scare her on some occasions, giving her a bit of a dislike towards practical jokes.
Her skills, and interests, lie in cooking and botany. She has tried picking up a bow once, but it quickly resulted in an empty quiver, missing arrows, and several angry Marmots. After that, Erin decided that combat was really not her strong suite..at all. Should there be an occasion where Erin must defend herself, she relies on her skillet.
When conversing with others, Erin mostly addresses others by title (mister, miss, etc.), a natural habit influenced by her father. If she does something wrong, she also tends to apologize excessively when confronted.

Biography

Childhood

Erin was born and raised in Ul'dah by her parents, Gladys and Walter Blackhall. Every day always consisted of a routine for Erin. In the morning she would watch her father get ready for his duties with the Brass Blades, and for the rest of the day she would assist her mother with either going out to harvest fruits and vegetables or helping with housework. Sometimes, she would try to stay up all night just to see her father come home from duty, though it usually ended with her being scolded by her mother. After her tenth nameday, Erin was always itching to travel to new places. This has developed habits such as sneaking out of her house at night, or trying to hide herself in merchant wagons whenever one happened to be closeby. However, after being caught several times by her father while he was patrolling the gates, Erin was put on close watch by her mother.

As Erin grew older, she had grown more interested in the world outside of Ul'dah. Every now and then whenever the streets were full of merchants coming in from different parts of world, she would wonder what it would be like to be a merchant herself. With this interest, she often sat around Ruby Road Exchange eavesdropping on business deals between buyers and sellers.

Teenage

After Erin's fifteenth nameday, her mother has decided it was time for her to try and expand a bit more on her capabilities as a woman and teach Erin how to cook and sew. Sewing didn't go so well for Erin, as it had left her bored, and a lot of pricked fingers. Sometimes, she had even refused to pick up a needle altogether. However, despite having failed at sewing, Erin had enjoyed taking up cooking, and wanted to learn even more than just the basics. When Erin turned eighteen, she had decided that she wanted to become a merchant. She's had a little bit of luck, selling as much as she could make out of the ingredients she picked out on the roads, or more foreign ingredients she could buy from the Sapphire Avenue Exchange. Compared to the more successful merchants in Ul'dah, she was thrilled whenever she was able to make more than 50gil selling the different dishes she had made. Even though some of Erin's food had left some people satisfied, she was slightly discouraged by the more successful food stands that had caught more attention than she did.

One day, a peddler had approached Erin's stand in an attempt to sell her a 'new' type of potion, not disclosing any other information other than it would leave her feeling more energized. Erin thought it was a bit expensive for her, but didn't want to be rude to a potential future customer and purchased the potion. After drinking said potion, Erin didn't feel much of an effect except for a bad headache, in which she decided to turn in for the day. Having woken up the next morning, Erin was terrified at her reflection in the mirror. She had taken the appearance of a Miqo'te. She stumbled her way to her mother, her body not used to its normal balance now that there's an edition of a tail, and tried to explain the situation to her. Erin's mother was baffled, but tried making light of the situation, saying it could be a new start for Erin. Her father was reluctant to agree with the statement, claiming that nobody would believe Erin's tale. After a long time of thinking about Erin's case, he decided that his daughter was just the same person, only in a different body, and had grown to accept it, only thinking of it as "Erin's old childhood antics having returned."

Present

Now Nineteen years old, Erin has adjusted a bit more to living as a Miqo'te. At first she made a habit of stuffing her ears into hats and her tail into her trousers, but after proving to be greatly uncomfortable and even slightly painful, Erin decided to leave them out. Not much about Erin's lifestyle has changed. However, her issues in balance still linger, mostly having to rely on leaning against things to keep herself up when standing still. She has brushed up on her culinary skills more, and seeks to travel to Limsa Lominsa one day to visit the Culinarians Guild in an attempt to gain even more knowledge. She managed to make enough coin to let her begin travelling, trying to gather enough inspiration for new and different foods and settling down in markets to sell whatever it is she could make.

Life With the Caravan

After a trip to Gridania, Erin had met some members of the Wayfinder's Solace Caravan. After a few awkward conversations here and there, Erin had finally decided to travel with them. She felt that doing a bit of travelling would help her get a bit of experience with mercantile under her belt, as well as help her see a bit more of Eorzea. During her travels, Erin had made a few friends and foes along the way. She has even started started to write about her travels in her notebook. After a bit of conflict, Erin had a few moments where she felt she was useless. Because of this, she felt that she should perhaps take up combat to defend herself. At first, Erin was interested in learning the ways of the Marauder. However, after having a talk with a sellsword, Erin turned away from the thought of possibly dying in battle due to incompetence. Erin didn't give up on her quest, though. After speaking to the Caravan Mistress of her concern, Erin is now learning how to use a sword and shield under the supervision of one of the members in the Caravan.
