Ex'tyn Tia
His nunh asked, "What happened to the chocobos?" The Ixalion tribe's coveted chocobos from the shores of Thavnair were snatched by Lominsan pirates and sent to Eorzea. Ex'tyn and a handful of the nunh's prized tias were forced from their tribe to seek out their lost steeds. Returning empty-handed was a death wish.

Basic Info
A hundred summers ago, a divide shifted in the Eft tribe. Ex'tyn's ancestor, E'run, wanted to form his own tribe and took two of his male littermates and four females for the Jade Sea. This was how the Council of Seven was created. Since then, the nuhn traditionally elected two tias and four females prized to his council.
Thavnair was already growing as a melting pot of cultures when they arrived and as long as the Ixalion Tribe pulled their weight for the benefit of its capital, Radz-at-Han, the locals saw no need to expunge them and they quickly flourished on the outskirts of the city-state.
When Ishgard closed its gates from outsider contact prior to the Calamity, Thavnair could no longer appropriate quality chocobos for its citizens. As such, the nunh at the time took advantage of the commodity. They quickly learned to cultivate and breed chocobos aligned to the climes' need such as plume color, build, and a temperament for Thavnair's humidity. As such, the husbandry was unlike anything seen; it quickly became an important steed for thrill seekers and herders. Ixalion tribe chocobos soon became high demand of Radz-at-Han's populace; in return, the ruling party offered land of their own to grow and breed more of them. The wandering tribe soon became a rooted village from there on.
The current tribe is run by Exus, who is Ex'tyn's father and nunh that he dutifully follows - until he could figure out a way to best his father and run the tribe himself.

Appearance & Personality
- Eyes focused and refined like a well-sharpened steel blade, Ex’tyn has all the proper colorings that make him a very distinct part of the Seeker clan. What’s truly important is his unwavering sense of calm and uncanny perception to everything around him. There is no off switch in hunting mode and that helps with his adaptation to new terrain and/or cultures not his own. He does have a critical vice to his usefulness, however. Ex’tyn exceedingly craves stability through power and if he cannot find someone worthy to follow, his instincts will kick in and take control. While he has sufficient willpower not to act unruly and aggressive as a tia, he is aware of his biology and respects it rather than fear it. He does have aspirations of becoming a nunh as all tias tend to do, but believes in attaining great strength and wisdom before taking control of the tribe.
Biography
Childhood
- Ex'tyn was born along with his other littermates in the tribe, though his mother was favored the most by the nunh and therefore was granted the prestige of ruling the hunt and making the secondary decisions. This gave him a bit of an edge of the other tias, but never exude anything more than absolute dedication to his father.
Teenage
- While the others dreamed and plotted of breeding and sitting upon a throne as nunh, Ex'tyn's aspirations headed in other pursuits like the hunt and taking care of the squabbles within the tribe. This, much to little amusement, brought a healthy bout of admirers by his fairer littermates. While prideful of her son's proficiency in protecting the tribe, his mother worried about his lack of drive for females and urged one of their aetherial shamans to evaluate him. They could not find a fault in his behavior until a few summers later where he revealed the typical aggressive mating behavior when a male adventurer came to trade with them. Exus later warned his favored son about this - a nunh cannot flourish over a barren tribe. But nature was nature and Ex'tyn could not rein his instincts any more than he can hold an ocean. He quickly accepted his preference for males, but with great cost. The other tias no longer considered him a threat and therefore could no longer cow their antics down on his pedigree alone. He would spend many summers re-earning the respect he deserved and found himself in plenty of territorial fights in the reclaiming.
Present
- In his nineteenth summer, Ex'tyn's tireless years spent regaining his place in the tribe finally yielded fruit when the opportunity presented itself. He drove off a large group of coeurls that stalked the nurseries when most of the hunting party had left for the night and did not return until dawn with the alpha's body to fashion a pelt for his mother. This act cemented a recommendation for him to replace one of the elder tias as part of the Council of Seven, but before the ceremony could be implemented, a raiding party of pirates scoured their outer lands and took off with their prized chocobos. Ex'vel, one of Ex'tyn's littermates, had failed to protect the chocobos. Incensed beyond reason, the nunh decreed that every littermate born alongside Ex'vel were to be expelled from the tribe until they returned with a chocobo or knowledge from the lands beyond. The other tias were against this and wanted to wage war with their father, but Ex'tyn instead fled the tribe to track the chocobos by scent and word of mouth. The tracking led him to board a ship for Thanalan and far away from his home.

Cultured Warrior - Appearances can be deceiving. His respect for the written word is almost utter devotion, because it helped him work earnestly with traders to benefit the tribe. He's extremely interested in history and the eras of yore because plenty of it details the rise and fall of mankind.
Dark is Not Evil - Many superstitious locals have taken his dark hair and skin as an omen or someone not to be trusted. Instead of combating them, he tends to quickly leave villages and towns to avoid causing any more trouble.
Sugar and Ice Personality - Often detached or disinterested with strangers, he does become much more personal and friendly the longer he knows them.
