Basic Info

Florihilda Valerian (or Flora, for short), was born in Little Ala Mhigo, to a pair of Ala Mhigan refugees, who also adopted an abandoned Miqo'te child they named Evandrus. Flora idolized her brother all throughout her childhood, clinging to him incessantly and imitating everything he did. When he ran away from the settlement in search of a better life, she could not bear to stay much longer, herself. Flora ran away to Ul'Dah roughly a year ago, in an attempt to reunite with him. She did not find him, initially, and dreaded returning to Little Ala Mhigo, fearing she'd be labelled a traitor or an outsider. Her bridges were not entirely burnt, however, and she maintains loose, erratic contact with her people, often working with the Flames to run supplies back and forth to the settlement. Tending to her brother's well-being is still her primary concern, though, and she often feels torn between these two extremes.

Appearance & Personality

A very tall Highlander woman, whose height makes her seem older than she actually is. People are often surprised to hear such a childish voice and mannerisms coming from her, but she's only seventeen or so. Though she likes to claim she's quite acclimated to life in the city (and often boasts that she's "almost perfectly Uldahn"), she's still unused to many parts of it, like the crowds and general social norms.

She is wary of men who are not Evandrus, and dislikes any sort of lewd speech or behaviour. For better or for worse, though, her trust is somewhat easily won.

Her hair and makeup tend to change quite often, as she's a bit of a spendthrift when it comes to her personal appearance. Her guiltiest pleasure is jewelry. Flora's hair is most often some shade of pale green, with pink streaks, though it may be blonde naturally.

She will often say that she is in love with him, and she doesn't seem to find anything strange about that statement. She is overprotective and somewhat suffocating to him-- and realizes it!-- but sees it as evidence of her love for him. She claims they will be wed someday, but this is doubtful, as Evandrus is disgusted and embarrassed by the notion. ● Seiko Mamushi - One of the hostesses at the club, a Doman refugee. Flora adores her, and always looks forward to seeing more of her. ♥ Noes Arcwright - A miqo'te boy who wandered into the host club one day. She admires him for his passionate, forthcoming way of speaking, and often goes entirely out of her way to help him on his journeys. She may "like" him, a tiny bit, an idea that makes her uncomfortable. ● Yattaru Thetaru - a kind, elderly lalafell Dragoon with many exciting stories to share. Flora has dubbed him "the best old man ever." ♥ Raimondaux Rouchet - One of the people who recruited Flora into the host club, Raimy has become a sort of surrogate uncle-figure to her.
