Furan Abumi

General Info

Furan Abumi is nothing above an average Raen. She stands about 5 feet 2 inches high, with a tail size about as long as one could get. Her skin is dark, which may or may not be an uncommon thing with the Raen tribes. Unknown to very few even among her tribe, she was born with both male and female sexes. Though, after more careful research she was found to not be able to have children, or be able to make them. For now she roams the city of Gridania, training with the Lancers Guild.

Appearance

She has long straight hair, black with red highlights. Her eyes are different colors, one being a very light green, while the other being a somewhat dark red with a light purple limbal ring. Her face is adorned with what looks like freckles of a very light and bright blue as if they glowed. Dark eye shadow, and black lipstick finish off her dark, yet innocent face features. She isn't at all muscular, and some would assume the spear she wields is too heavy for her.Furan normally wears the same attire as most of the other Lancers in Gridania. She doesn't particularly have a preference on attire, though for casual she'll wear a Survival shirt and half slops, along with a pair of small boots. In addition to her dress wear, she also wears a subligar underneath her undergarments to help hide her other feature. Whether it be fighting, walking around town, or even swimming.

Personality

Furan tends to be quiet and keeps to herself, unless needing to speak or be spoken to. She'll never attack another person unless provoked or a good enough reason to. To new people she seems cold and distant, and will try and push people away if she's not comfortable with them. She is mature and confident by default, but tends to become vulnerable when less dressed. When comfortable enough to let her guard down, she can be affectionate and even protective. What she gains is hers, and nothing will stand between what she deems worthy. She also takes her Doman heritage into account, but in the end only those she deems worthy enough will she bend her knee to, unless otherwise forced in any non-general arrangement.

History

Furan Abumi was born within the city of Doma, her Raen Father and Mother living a peaceful life. There she learned the Hyur language, and was able to live a moderately normal life. Her dad had been the Servant of a Lord at the time of the first Garlemald attack upon Othard. Doma at the time was not under direct attack, but fearing the worst in coming years, he deemed it necessary to send his only daughter away to safety, not wanting her to see the horrors that war could bring. So setting upon a ship, her destination set to Eorzea, she had to leave her only family behind. At the tender age of 18, she would need to make a new name for herself, and live a life her parents would be proud of.

Combat abilities/History

Out of all the combat and magic professions in Eorzea, the three that seemed to intrigue her the most were Conjury, Thaumaturgy, Lancer and being a Gladiator. Attempting them was no small feet, taking the time to try and learn the ways they fought and how they worked. But in the end, something just didn't seem to fit right. It was either, too much of something or not enough of something else. She thought about it, and there was definitely something missing but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. With her spirits in a slump she happened upon the Lancers guild. A style using composure and resolve to forge courage. Somehow it hit home just a little even though in then end, something was still missing. But a better feel than anything, she took the lance in hand, hoping that this would take her to new heights and hopefully help her pursuit to the right path.
