Furan Abumi

General Info

Furan Abumi is nothing above an average Raen. She stands about 5 feet 2 inches high, with a tail size about as long as one could get. Her skin is a light blue, which may or may not be an uncommon thing with the Raen Race. Known to very few and her parents, she was born with both male and female sexes. After more careful research she was found to not be able to have children, or be able to make them, but both are accessible for use. She prefers to be called Rubi, as saying her full name annoys her and seems too long. Now being the age of 23, she roams the city of Gridania as her home, training with the Lancers Guild.

Appearance

She has short hair, black with purple highlights on her bangs. Her eyes are different colors, one being a very light green, while the other being a somewhat dark red with an orange limbal ring. Her face is adorned with what looks like freckles of a very light and bright blue as if they glowed. Dark eye shadow, and black lipstick finish off her blueish, yet innocent facial features. She isn't at all muscular, and some would assume she wasn't strong enough for combat. Furan normally wears the same attire as most of the other Lancers in Gridania, which also varies depending on when she is continuing her training of swordplay and magic. She doesn't particularly have a preference on attire, though for casual she'll wear a Survival shirt and a pair of felt kecks, along with a pair of small boots. In addition to her dress wear, she also wears a subligar underneath her undergarments to help hide her other feature. Whether it be fighting, walking around town, or even swimming.

Personality

Furan is tomboyish. She's never afraid to stand up for herself and she can be blunt at times. She can be a bit of a scamp and playful if she's comfortable enough around someone. She's confident, mature, and outgoing. She knows when to quit when she's in over her head, and she knows the limits of her abilities. She enjoys a good book now and then, as long as it entails something dealing with combat techniques or magic. What she gains is hers, and nothing will detour her from her goals and desires. She can be affectionate and is Protective of things dear to her. She's not above following her heritage, but she will only bend her knee to someone she deems worthy enough, unless forced into the position by non-general terms but by no means will she kneel without a fight. She'll follow her tradition on her own terms.

History

Furan Abumi was born within the city of Doma, her Raen Father and Mother living a peaceful life. There she learned the Hyur language, and was able to live a moderately normal life. Her dad had been the Servant of a Lord at the time of the first Garlemald attack upon Othard. Doma at the time was not under direct attack, but fearing the worst in coming years, he deemed it necessary to send his only daughter away to safety, not wanting her to see the horrors that war could bring. So setting upon a ship, her destination set to Eorzea, she had to leave her only family behind. At the tender age of 18, she would need to make a new name for herself, and live a life her parents would be proud of.

Combat abilities/History

Despite not actually having any combat experience, it wasn't hard for the young Raen to delve into the varied professions Eorzea had to offer. From casting magic as a Conjurer, Thaumaturge, and Arcanist, to the close combat techniques of Gladiator, Pugilist, and Lancer. She gave each profession their due share of time and effort, Archery being the only one she shied away from due to the fact she had already learned from close inspection of other people in Gridania, that it wouldn't be a weapon of choice. In the end, it came down to the love of fighting up close, and the concept of using magic, that she couldn't quite put her finger on which of the combat and magic professions fit best. She enjoyed fighting as a gladiator, making use of a one handed style, while the idea of casting destructive magic couldn't be ignored. There had been no information regarding a style that seemed to use the two, and using one or the other just didn't seem to work right. As she decided to settle into the city of Gridania, she took up lancer as a sub profession, making it easier to live her life in the city. But all the while, she still seeks the knowledge of combining some form of magic and sword play to better suit her needs. Only then will she be able to fill in this missing piece to the puzzle.

IC Updates

Furan is now a member of The Silver Nexus Free company. She's been admitted as a student to study and improve her combat abilities in search of her one true Profession. She works from time to time maintaining the company's bar in exchange for the knowledge she seeks.

Other things to note

For Erp purposes if it ever does come to that. Furan can be basically referred to as a Futa. Since that is also the main term a lot of people on Balmung use. A girl with Male genitalia but limited to only having a somewhat decent sized Member. I didn't really want to put this in here, but I feel like some clarification would be in order. Just in the case someone does read this and wants to understand it more.
