Hotaru Kobayashi (小林 螢, Kobayashi Hotaru) is a refuge from Doma that came across the Jade Sea with those fleeing with Lady Yugiri. Born into a vassal family, Hotaru was assigned to Yuuna Akashi as a page from the age of five. While she is not simpleminded, she is an airhead of the worst sorts and often gets lots in thought or trapped in her own daydreams with nary a thought about the outside world. While an adept archer and marksman, she is a rudimentary magic-user at best, only able to cast a small selection of spells tied to her arcane link at a spiritual level with Yuuna.
