General
Jedrek Av'tias has a rather 'different' feeling to him. He is often seen wandering about the wilds of Eorzea, wearing his usual brown robe and sandals. All those who have approached him in hopes of striking up a conversation with him have different story to tell. Some claim to have been given large quantities of Gil or having been supplied with generous gifts just for saying hello to him. Other however say that he just stopped in his tracks and stared at them, making them feel uneasy as he watched them until they finally managed to hide away was his eerie gaze. All in all this Miqo'te is a friend to few and a oddity to many. Some say he has a wish he is looking to make come true. What exactly it is, only he would know for now.

General
+
Appearance
+
Jedrek Av'tias currently has long black hair with red highlights. He stands taller than most other Miqo'te and has a well toned physique due to his prior 'pilgramage' with his past partner as well as to the fact that his race tends to be rather gifted when it comes to physical capabilities. His two most noticeable physical traits are his golden eyes which never seem to lose their look of alertness, as well as a black star shaped tattoo that he has on his left cheek. It is rumored that he had this applied so as to remind him of what he is meant to do and become...

Jedrek Av'tias has always been the kind to keep to himself and focus on his own personal goals. Yet once he comes to know and truly trust a person, he tends to open up a little bit more around them and express himself more openly. Jedrek's desire to become more and more capable of 'protecting' those he loves has blinded him from the fact that he doesn't have anyone close enough to him that he can actually call a friend or even more.
+
Personality
+
Jedrek's personality tends to change along with his mood. He can be very kind and easy going, quick to find a reason to laugh and willing to help a fellow adventurer if the chance presents itself. He has been known to randomly supply equipment of the highest quality to those who seem to be in need of a bit of help. He doesn't mind treating others to a warm meal and sharing a tale or two over a cup of ale. He likes to have a good laugh now and then and doesn't mind the company of others. Jedrek is loyal to the few he would consider his friends..but one would probably not ever know it until the chance to prove his loyalty presented itself.

Appearance
+
Yet there are times when a dark cloud seems to loom over him. No matter how kind and easy going he can be, there still seems to be something a bit 'off' about Jedrek. When he is not in a talkative mood, he keeps to himself and can be rather cold to anyone who would even try to initiate a conversation with him. He can become very focused on his present goals and close off everything and everyone in order to concentrate on achieving what he wants. It is this side of his personality that has kept him from developing any 'deeper' relationships with anyone. Jedrek does seem to have some minor trust issues and his motivations for doing certain things can seem rather cryptic.

Jedrek is taller than the usual Mi'qote male. His dark blue hair is one of his more outstanding features when it comes to his appearance. It reaches down to his neck and tends to keep it covered with a black bandana that was given to him as a parting gift by one of the adventurers that taught him their art so long ago. Jedrek's golden eyes are also a noticeable physical trait of his. They tend to give away how he feels about something, be it both a situation or even a person. It is something that both companions and enemies remember of him. Either it be the way they seem to glint with a flame of mischief when sharing a laugh in the tavern, or the way they seem to burn brightly with rage even in the darkest of alleys when defending himself or others His constant physical activities have allowed him to keep himself in shape, his body being toned as that of a well trained athlete.
+
Jedrek also has a tendency to be rather random at times...seeming if only for a fleeing moment to have the innocence of a child. This sort of thing would be hard to explain...it would just be best for one to experience it in person to be able to understand.

Behavior
+
Combat
+
Jedrek had dedicated himself to learning many different skills that he could use in the battlefield. From wielding a axe to healing with a staff, He has dedicated himself to mastering all these arts and gaining a deeper understanding of their root teachings. His motivation for learning all these things was in hopes of protecting the 'one' he loved most and always being able to protect her. Due to events from the past however, he now dedicates himself to this in order to help motivate himself to 'move on'.
+
One can often find him out in the wilds of Eorzea continually honing his skills and searching for ways to better improve his abilities. He has had some people who were apparently aware of his abilities approach him to ask for his mentorship...but he always seems to deny them in the rudest of manners. Why he does this nobody really knows.

Jedrek seems rather secretive and minds his own affairs instead of getting involved with those of others. If he finds a person he dislikes in any sense of the word, instead of wasting his time in budding heads with them and trying to prove their superior, he brushes them off and moves on with whatever his current objective is. He would rather not waste time in clashing with a person who will never have a grand impact in his life or whom he may never see again. All in all he is very lost in his own world, always keeping his eye on the prize. However once he becomes more than just mere acquaintances with a person, his true personality starts to show. He doesn't mind taking the time to sit down with others and share a good laugh or even lend a helping hand when it is needed. His smile is always sincere and his tail tends to sway side to side fervently whenever he is really excited. Yet no matter how close he gets to someone, they always seem to run into a wall, one that Jedrek seems rather doubtful of bringing down. Why exactly he does this nobody knows at the moment.

Having been trained by the Adventurers and Sephie, both of whom saved him during his childhood, Jedrek is well versed in the art of combat. Unlike when he was a child, he can keep a cool head even when under the worst of circumstances. It is when in combat that a person really gets to know him. He built his whole being around this after all.

Jedrek adapts to combat depending on what is needed at the time. Thanks to his determination to become as strong as he possibly can, anything he lacks when it comes to socializing is made up for in both his tactfulness and effectiveness when it comes to combat. Taking a bit from the many skills he was taught, Jedrek manages to see things from many angles instead of just one. His hands can both break and heal at a moment's notice. His legs can stand firm as he shields a fellow ally from a blow, or be nimble and light as air when it comes to avoiding a deadly strike. He can keep his mind calm and strategize while taking in his surroundings, or let the rage completely swallow him whole as he rushes in with brute force. All in all this has always been Jedrek's dream, to no longer need to be protected and to be efficient when it comes to helping others. That is what drove him to grow strong, and that same desire continues to drive him to this day.

::*Problem Solving
+
Jedrek was brought up by his Hyur mother Sephie Av'lanor in the forests of The Black Shroud. His father, from what his mother told him, had been a Seeker Of The Sun Miqo'te who had left behind his tribe and traditions in order to be with her. For a while apparently his father and mother had lived happy simple lives with The Shroud, but that was soon brought to a abrupt end when his father was slain during a a raid by some of the local bandits that had one night decided to make known their distaste for their current neighbors. Sephie had escaped with her life, along with her son, all thanks to the sacrifice of Jedrek's father.

::*The Echo
+
As the years passed, Jedrek grew and became interested in learning more about his father's tribe and customs. He had heard tales from the local traders that the tribal Miqo'te were something grand...and that the women left every man wanting for their company. At the age of eighteen, Jedrek decided that he would journey to Ul'dah in search of a tribe in hopes of being taken in and being able to learn their ways. His mother had tried convincing him otherwise, saying that it wouldn't be as simple as just walking up and asking to join a established tribe, but Jedrek being the rebellious teen he was decided to go regardless of his mother's pleas.

Weaknesses
+
When Jedrek finally did find what he was looking for, he was not welcomed as he had thought he would be. The Nuhn of the tribe made it obvious that he was not welcomed there and even made it clear that he didn't even consider Jedrek to be one of 'them'. At first Jedrek was devastated by the sudden harshness of those who he had come to seek, but at learning more of their customs and their lifestyle...he decided it was probably best if he wasn't allowed to join them to begin with. His father had loved his mother...and seeing how these tribes saw their women as nothing more than a means to a end..he could now understand why his father left this lifestyle behind. Yet what the Nuhn had told him caused a fire to rage inside of him. Yes he might not be one of 'them'...but that didn't mean his father's blood didn't flow in his veins. From then on Jedrek took on the surname 'Av'tias', in honor of his mother and his deceased father's ancestry.

::*Tends to get tunnel vision when focused on a goal, affecting his relationships with others.
+
While in Ul'dah, Jedrek took up training with the Pugulist's Guild and found that the art came rather naturally to him. However it was during this time, 1572 of the Seventh Umbral Era, that the tension between Eorzea and The VII Legion begun to grow in a alarming pace. The Empire had begun their march the year before and now with the addition of the cult of the Lambs Of Dalamud, Eorzea suddenly found itself in what one could consider an apocalyptic state of unrest. While many of his newly found friends and companions decided to join the Grand Companies in their war against the empire, Jedrek felt it was time for him to go home and watch over his mother.
+
It was while on his way back to The Shroud that the Battle Of Carteneau came to take place. Jedrek could see that the Crimson Moon of Dalamud continued to fall closer and closer to Eorzea...yet it soon became clear that this was no moon at all. The sound of Bahamut's rampage could be heard throughout the land, and one wouldn't had been able to help but think that the end of the world had come. Due to the chaos that had suddenly broken out, Jedrek was not able to continue on his way home.

::*Bringing up the topic of his lost friends
+
A few weeks after all had come to happen, Jedrek finally made it home, only to discover that all he had known and loved was gone...including his mother. She had apparently been in the process of healing those who had succumbed to injury during one of the more recent raids when Bahamut begun to wreak his havoc throughout The Black Shroud. She had done all she could to help, and had been killed in the process. Jedrek had been overcome with guilt, blaming himself for not having been there to save her. It wasn't until someone pointed out that it was probably for the best that he had NOT been around...for he would most likely had met the same fate as the many other victims had. After mourning for his mother, Jedrek finally decided it was time for him to begin his journey in earnest. He was determined to do all that he could to help people, such as his father and mother had done.

Along Came Tsu... (1573-1575) (Post Calamity)

::*Stubbornness
+
Jedrek adopted the habit of constant traveling and never staying in one place for too long. Many times he found himself trying to set his roots in one of the many free companies that had been formed by eager adventurers, but he soon found himself on the road once again. That all changed when he had a life changing encounter with a rather ambitious lalafell by the name of Crolus in the Waking Sands.
+
Crolus spoke of how he wished to found a Free Company that would come to change the world of Eorzea, putting a end to the Primal threat as well as taking the fight to the Empire when the time came. Jedrek had heard of MANY Free Companies that wished to do just that, but he decided to join forces with Crolus, having found himself moved by the young lalafell's determination. After that day, Jedrek once again came to be part of a family that not only looked out for one another but for those who ever found themselves in want of protection from the enemies of the Eorzean people.

Relationships
+
Months after the Free Company of "The Rising Dawn" had been established, Jedrek met a Seeker of the Sun by the name of Tsu "'" while on a trip to Gridania. Jedrek couldn't help but admire at how dedicated she was about reaching her goals and becoming one of the best lancers to ever live. He convinced her to join the company and from then on the two came to be inseparable. At that time Jedrek had been studying as a member of the Pugulist's Guild in Ul'dah, but Tsu made it clear that there was so much more they could both accomplish...such as mastering the skills presented in ALL the guildhalls found around Eorzea. At first Jedrek thought this to be rather obsessive..but at seeing that it was indeed possible to do this...he decided to join Tsu in this endeavor. At hearing of Jedrek's and Tsu's desire to achieve said perfection in all styles of combat, Crolus was quick to tell Jedrek that if he did go along with such foolishness he would have to renounce his position as one of the leaders of "The Rising Dawn". A leader had to be available to those whom he served at every moment, and going down this path would require Jedrek to be gone for very long periods of time.

Family
+
In a way, this came to offend Jedrek. The Free Company whom he had helped build had become more of a shelter than anything else. At first the requests were small and trivial, but then soon came the "leeches" so to speak who preferred to be carried through even the most trivial tasks asked of them. Some of Jedrek's equals even chose to look down on the newer members of the company..something that he could not stand. He had brought all this up to Crolus one night in hopes of having him take action and make the necessary changes. It was all for naught however, since Crolus instead told Jedrek he was reading to deep in between the lines...that he was unreasonable to expect perfection from everyone. It was the memory of this that moved Jedrek to turn in his position as one of the Leaders of the Company and join Tsu on her adventure. He was now considered to be one of the 'lower members' of the company, and Crolus made sure to show that that was now the case. At first Jedrek felt guilty, thinking that maybe he had turned his back to his friends. Yet this feeling soon came to pass after a select few of the Company members showed their support to Jedrek and Tsu.
Sephie Av'lanor- (Deceased?)

Aldric Av'lanor- Grandfather ( Deceased? )
+
Throughout their journey, the two Miqote's came to grow even closer than before, which lead to them becoming more than just friends. They made sure to dedicate time to one another, which wasn't hard since they were always together. Jedrek had heard word that the Sanctum would soon become a place in which Many of the members soon came to look up to the both of them, while others resented them for having done so much on their own. This soon came to form a divide within the company.

Miara A'vlanor- Grandmother (Deceased?)
+
One side admired Jedrek and Tsu for having taken their lives into their own hands and accomplishing in days what many of the higher ranking officers hadn't been able to in weeks. They showed that, on contrary to what the current leaders of the company said, one could 'change their stars' on his or her own no matter how big the obstacle. There were those though who showed their distaste for the two. They feared that the actions of the two would move others to think that they did not NEED the guidance of Crolus and his other four leaders. This all reached its climax during a confrontation with one of the beast tribes...

Other Relationships
+
The company had received word that the Amal'jaa once again. Jedrek and Tsu were familiar with this tribe, and had found themselves in battle with them countless times. The higher ups of the company however did not have the success Jedrek had experienced though. The feeding and babying of the Company's members had caught up to them sadly and many did not have the experience to carry their own weight in the battles which resulted in the death of two of the members of the Free Company. Crolus's anger blazed against Jedrek that night at his return to the home they had built in Lavender Beds. He shouted at Jedrek, accusing him of turning his back on the people who had come to see him as a friend. The rest of the members had watched silently as this all happened before their eyes. It wasn't that they didn't want to help him, but the loss of two of their own had hit them all so hard that they didn't have the energy to come to anyone's rescue. Before Jedrek could drown in his own guilt however, Tsu stepped in and quickly silenced the angry little lalafell. She challenged his authority and told him to pick out a group from the Company, and she would accompany them to confront the Amal'jaa in a coming surprise attack upon one of their many camps. Crolus was quick to include himself along with six others, three of whom served in leading the Free Company with him. Jedrek was not included within the people that Crolus chose to be a part of the group, something that everyone came to notice immediately.

::*"I've seen him walking down near the pier a few times. He'll sometimes just sit there and stair down into the water as if looking for something he dropped " - Limsan Fisherman
+
Jedrek knew that something was afoot, but Tsu would hear none of it. She would silence the doubts of their Free Company Leader, no matter how incompetent the others would be throughout the battle. After a few days passed, Tsu's group along with a few others from surrounding companies decided the time had come to take action. With a kiss of the cheek and a promise to return, Tsu bid farewell to Jedrek and made her way to Thanalan along with the others.

+
Two nights passed before the return of the group. Not all of them had survived the confrontation though...and amongst those who had passed was Tsu. Jedrek was devastated beyond words but even then he still noticed the attitude of the five that had returned. They were not as down trotted as they had been during their prior losses. Something had happened...something was wrong. When Crolus was confronted by Jedrek out in the darkness of The Shroud, he claimed that Tsu and the two other members had been slain by the Amal'jaa in the battle. The faces of his companions told otherwise. It didn't take long for Crolus to admit to the crime they had committed. They had left Tsu along with the two others in the heat of battle. They had refused to heal their wounds and had allowed them to be slaughtered along with any who went to her aid. "We will do anything to keep The Rising Dawn from falling.", Crolus had growled as the other surrounded Jedrek. "Her many skills did her no good when it came to surviving..I doubt they will do you of any good here as well Jed.."

Four bodies were discovered the next morning by some members of another Company during a Hunt. Two of them had been burnt to death it seems , while the others had been beaten beyond recognition. Crolus's body was soon discovered a few yards away from where the others lay. He had seemed to have been torn from limb to limb by whatever beast had come upon them. Jedrek's body however was never recovered. What happened that night in those woods only he knows...and the details of it all has disappeared along with him.

Ever since his disappearance Jedrek has been wandering throughout Eorzea continuing to study the arts he hoped to master so long ago. Some have come to know him as a criminal, a murderer who killed his own Free Company leaders after allowing himself to be overtaken by rage. Yet there are others who still see him as being nothing more than just a victim of a twisted man's desire to rule over others...a victim who took matters into his own hands and put an end to his reign. This however occurred years ago, and though many now have forgotten of the tale, Jedrek still seems to carry some of what happened with him. He does a good job of hiding it however, and though he swears on his own mother that he has left the past in the past, Jedrek continues to journey on his own...ever the perfect student when it comes to studying the arts of combat as well as crafting.

The Twelve Brought Us Together (Sixth Astral Era)

Jedrek was discovered by Sephie Av'lanor, a young female Hyur Scholar, while traveling through Camp Dragon Head on her way back to her home in Summerwood Farms. She remembered seeing Jedrek from a distance, one of many young boys involved in what seemed like a scuffle of some sort. His blue hair however made him stand out, that and the fact that he seemed to be trying to fight off the group of boys himself with not much success. Sephie summoned her pet and sent it into the fray, causing all the boys to scatter and flee in different directions. Young Jedrek laid on the snow covered ground, curled into a ball and shivering something fierce. Sephie's heart sank at seeing the boy in such a vulnerable state. She could only imagine how afraid he was after such a beating that he had received from the group of boys. As she knelt down next him and laid her hand on his shoulder in hopes of reassuring him that he was now safe, He shot up suddenly and pushed himself against the stone wall behind him. In one hand he held a sharp stone, and in the other he held a piece of bread so close to his chest that you would think it was his only possession. He glared at Sephie, his chest heaving up and down rapidly as he gritted his teeth and pointed the sharp stone at Sephie. "Get your own...", He managed to whisper as his topaz eyes burned with a fire that more than showed that he was willing to defend this meal of his with his life.

Sephie was taken by surprise to see this unique looking young boy still have so much fight in him. She was even more surprised to see that he had the tail and ears of a feline. "You are a Mi'qote...a Seeker Of The Sun...why are you all the way up here in Cortheas?..." She had asked him. That question seemed to make him pause for a moment. He stared at her, their eyes saying more than words ever could as the snow began to silently fall from the sky. After a moment of silence, Sephie said seven words that would forever change Jedrek's life: "Would you like to see the ocean?"

Teach Me (Sixth Astral Era)

Jedrek was taken in by Sephie and he came to see her as a motherly figure. Her parents weren't too fond of the idea of her taking in this orphan, seeing as that she was still young and had a very bright future ahead of her. Yet as time came to pass, they also came to grow fond of the young blue haired Mi'qote. It took a while for Jedrek to get use to the idea of having a family, having always fended for himself in Cortheas since he could remember. Yet he would never come to complain of his new found home. His grandfather, having been a blacksmith for many years, taught Jedrek his trade whenever the boy would come by the farm to visit. He even took up cooking with his grandmother, managing to burn himself more than a few times. Sephie made sure that Jedrek received a form of education from her superiors, something that he came to appreciate in time. All in all, Jedrek was growing into a fine young man. It was during this period of time that he came to have another faithful encounter that would help him grow into what he is today.

Jedrek had overheard his grandfather mention in conversation that Dzameal Tomatoes would sell well the coming year and how he would do anything to get his hands on a few seeds for his own personal farm. Wishing to repay them somehow for having taken him in, Jedrek sneaked out during the following night and headed towards Raincatcher's Gulley. Rumors had it that during certain weather conditions, these tomatoes could be found in abundance along with their seeds. Yet not many dared venture into Raincatcher's gulley due to the dangers that lurked within. He however felt it necessary to do so, seeing that they had given him a new home and a better life.

Though the journey to Raincatcher's Gulley proved to be easy enough, the actual retrieving of the seeds didn't prove to be as simple. Coeurls had been stalking the young boy for quite some time after having been lost within the jungles for a few hours. Once again, Jedrek felt out matched and helpless such as he had before those few years ago in Dragon Head. The only difference this time was that he didn't have Sephie around to save him from what seemed like a otherwise helpless situation. As the pack of Coeruls started to draw in closer around him, Jedrek clenched tightly onto the small bag of seeds he had managed to gather before all of this had happened. If he was going to die here, it wouldn't be without at least trying to fight.

That's when it all happened. A sudden explosion of fire came raining down on the predators as a thin long arm wrapped around Jedrek's waist and seemed to pick him up for what seemed like miles off the ground. It wasn't till he finally had his feet on the ground that he noticed that it had been a Lancer who had jumped into the pack just in the nick of time to grab up Jedrek and get him out of what was now a small battle field. He watched as his rescuers fought off the pack and sent them fleeing away into the wilderness. A Elzen who wielded a sword and shield, a Miq'ote who used her fists, and two casters whom were both female Hyurs. One making flames come from her finger tips while the other seemed to be surrounded by a light that kept her companions safe from harm. Jedrek gazed up into the face of his personal savior, a handsome young Hyur man who smiled down at him . "You will be fine boy...you just hold on tight to that lil bag of yours and we will take care of the rest."

Jedrek jumped at the sound of what seemed like a beast roaring off in the distance before seeing one of the Coeurls land with a large crash into some shrubs nearby. A large muscular Roegadyn made his way down the hill from where the cat had come flying, waving his axe around as if a mere play thing. Jedrek couldn't believe what he had just seen. This small group of...adventurers had saved him. Not only that, but they had man handled these cats as if they were kittens. "Do you know your way back home boy...well wait...what in the hell are you even doing out here?", The handsome young Lancer asked as his companions drew near. Jedrek stared up at them all, his curious eyes focusing for a second on all their faces before slowly standing up on his two feet and swaying his tail coolly up behind him trying to hide the fear that still showed so obviously in his eyes. "I came for some seeds. My grandpa has a farm...wanna see it?"

The adventurers accompanied Jedrek back to his home in Summerford where they were invited to a grand banquet the following day by both his Grandparents and Sephie. After being scolded and presenting the seeds to his grandfather, Jedrek was sent to his room where he sat and stared at wall. He couldn't help but think of that group of adventurers and how strong they had all seemed. Would he always need to be saved? Wasn't it about time he started to learn how to watch out for himself too?..

The following night, when the adventurers came to the feast, Jedrek did all he could to be around them and listen to their stories of the places they had seen and gone to. He dodged his grandmothers seeking eye so as to avoid being sent to the kitchen to retrieve more food for all the people who had come to join them. He didnt want to miss a single word of all that they had to share. Sephie wasn't of much help neither when it came to tending to the guests..well atleast to all the other guests that is. She had been with the Lancer sitting up on the top of the hill talking all night. As the feast came to a close and the guests began to leave, the small group of adventurers made their way up the hill to enjoy the view of the ocean before setting off. it was then when Jedrek made his way up to the group and stood before them, a small gunny sack hanging from his back. "Take me with you.", He had said. Sephie, for the first time that night, left the young lancer's side and scolded Jedrek for even thinking about setting off on some wild adventure.

"I don't want to be weak anymore. All my life I've been the one who needs to be rescued. For once, I wanna be the one who rescues people and helps them. I want to travel Eorzea and help keep it safe. i am not a little kid anymore...so if I'm going to be a man...I want to be a strong one so that I can protect you, grandma, and grandpa just like you have all protected me."

Sephie was taken aback by his words. Such determination in a little boy was still surprising to her. He had fought so ferociously back then for a mere piece of bread. How much more would he fight to protect those he cared for? Jedrek looked back over at the group of adventurers, his golden eyes seeming to burn with a bright flame. "I want to be strong like all of you. I want to learn everything you know. So please....Teach Me."

--------------------------------------------

A Call To War (Calamity)

The next few years seemed to fly by. Jedrek's new found companions took to teaching him their arts so he could become, as he put it, 'capable of great things'. They felt that Jedrek held them too highly, but there was no talking him out of learning the arts of war. He was not the only one to benefit from their company though. Sephie soon married the young lancer, Mateus Delador, and began a life of their own. Though the skirmishes continued between the Empire and the three Grand Companies, Jedrek and his family were able to live peacefully on their farm with their friends who also in a sense served as Summerwood's personal guard. That was until the sounds of the oncoming war could no longer be ignored..

The Adventurers felt it necessary to answer the call to arms that had been given by the nations. There was also a great unrest around all of Eorzea at seeing the Lesser Moon Dalamud slowly descend closer and closer. Many came to panic and some even succumbed to the fear of the entire land being destroyed, but Jedrek saw this as a opportunity. He might have only been a teen but he felt more ready than ever to take his place next to his fellow friends and fight against the empire. Yet that was not to happen as he had hoped for. Mateus had told Jedrek to stay behind and protect his family, after all that was what he had wanted to be trained for. Jedrek had no choice but to agree to staying behind. He watched as his old friends made their way towards the city of Limsa to join all those who would be lending their power to ridding Eorzea of the threat of the empire.

The day that Dalamud broke open to reveal the Elder Primal Bahamut will always be a day that Jedrek will never forget. Shards had come crashing down on the nearby beach, causing the ground to shake and tremble beneath their feet. His grandfather had gotten severely injured during the incident. Jedrek had tried to heal him, but with all the commotion and the distant roars of Bahamut echoing through the skies, he wasn't able to focus enough to be of any use. Luckily however, there were others who were able to help his grandfather...yet that didn't change the fact that Jedrek hadn't been of any help. That day would constantly haunt him. What had all those years of training been good for? Was he really so pathetic so as to let his mind go blank whenever the pressure was too much to bare?

To make matters worse, Mateus and the others never returned home. This caused Sephie to spiral into a depression that nobody, even Jedrek could get her out of. Things had been going so well for so long, yet now their entire world had turned upside down. Jedrek had lost all hope, until Sephie one night approached him. She explained how she was not as strong as the others had been, and that she didn't really have the drive to continue to strive for something better. He on the other hand, she explained, still had much to learn and she encouraged him to go out into the world to do so. His strength and resolve would surely grow as he made his way through Eorzea, learning from other Heroes as well as from the land itself.

"You have always been a stubborn boy Jedrek. It's that same stubbornness that has made you into the young man that sits before me now. I'm proud of you.", She had said with a weak smile. Her eyes no longer shined like they use to, but her love for the young boy she had found was still there. With those words from Sephie, Jedrek finally did what he had wanted to do and made his way down the path leading away from the farm he had grown up on. His adventure would finally begin.

--------------------------------

Present Day

Jedrek has traveled alone for most of his time away from home. With his family having 'moved on' a few years back, he now keeps mostly to himself with the exception of a few adventurers he runs into on his travels. He continued his pursuit in learning the arts that his prior teachers had begun teaching him so long ago when he was merely a boy and has come to grow far more stronger and capable than he use to be. He never stays in one place for too long and is constantly on the move from one place to another. Some say he is searching for his long lost friends in hopes that they have survived while others say he is merely living life as best he can. The truth is something that perhaps only he knows.

Character

Appearance

Jedrek Av'tias currently has long black hair with red highlights. He stands taller than most other Miqo'te and has a well toned physique due to his prior 'pilgramage' with his past partner as well as to the fact that his race tends to be rather gifted when it comes to physical capabilities. His two most noticeable physical traits are his golden eyes which never seem to lose their look of alertness, as well as a black star shaped tattoo that he has on his left cheek. It is rumored that he had this applied so as to remind him of what he is meant to do and become...

Personality

Jedrek also has a tendency to be rather random at times...seeming if only for a fleeing moment to have the innocence of a child. This sort of thing would be hard to explain...it would just be best for one to experience it in person to be able to understand.

Combat

Jedrek had dedicated himself to learning many different skills that he could use in the battlefield. From wielding a axe to healing with a staff, He has dedicated himself to mastering all these arts and gaining a deeper understanding of their root teachings. His motivation for learning all these things was in hopes of protecting the 'one' he loved most and always being able to protect her. Due to events from the past however, he now dedicates himself to this in order to help motivate himself to 'move on'. One can often find him out in the wilds of Eorzea continually honing his skills and searching for ways to better improve his abilities. He has had some people who were apparently aware of his abilities approach him to ask for his mentorship...but he always seems to deny them in the rudest of manners. Why he does this nobody really knows.

History/Timeline

(1554-1571) (Before The Calamity)

(1572-1573) (Before The Calamity)

((From here on out, I find events that actually DID occur ((FC Drama on other servers...it happens >3< )), during my journey in Eorzea, and use it as material for my back story. I hope you enjoy it! Some names have been changed...))

Along Came Tsu... (1573-1575) (Post Calamity)

(1575-Present Day) (Post Calamity)

He has supposedly been spotted now and then within the cities, enjoying a warm meal at one of the local inns or taking up a job or two in order to have some gil in his pocket. It is hard to keep track of where he will appear next, but when he does show himself it isn't long before he vanishes into the wilderness of Eorzea once again...
