Basic Info

Jezune Garinthe is a Hyur Midlander who was adopted by the Lancer's Guild in Gridania. After having been taught and raised there, he struck out, exploring and seeing much of Eorzea. He trained in the Gladiators' Guild before deciding to head to Coerthas for a period of time, training his art of the lance by watching the Ishgardian dragoons as they hunted dragons, helping them as he could. He eventually settled in the Goblet, living rather peacefully.

Appearance & Personality

An average man of average height, Jezune will often fidget, leaning back and forth on either foot, his brown eyes peering up through a black pair of spectacles at whoever he is speaking to at the moment. His black hair is oft disheveled, though he somehow manages to keep it from obstructing his view.

He is, at times, rather quiet. Easily flustered by things of a risque nature, one can often find him staring at the ground, cheeks a deep crimson. However, when comfortable he can be quite talkative, though he tends to zone out after a while when things get too hectic. He will often worry about others before himself, and this places a heavy burden on him, as he tends to shove his own feelings below the surface in an attempt to avoid worrying anyone. Quite the romantic as well, he tends to be very idealistic in his views.

He did have a short stint as a makeshift hero in Ul'dah named "The Azure Star", though he ended up putting away that alias after being arrested in a case of mistaken identity.

History

His birth family is unknown; as an infant, he was left on the steps of the Lancers' Guild. Here, Jezune trained for years, honing his skills in the art of the lance. He fought well, showing a natural aptitude for the task, though he could never bring himself to fulfill his potential, as the instructors would say. Instead of spending days doing drills or running errands for the Guildmaster, he'd often instead sneak off to the Everschade or to Sanctum, simply relaxing in the sun. Because of this, his style is often unorthodox, forgoing many of the basic tenets of combat in lieu of what he "feels" to be right. At the age of 18, he struck off from the Lancer's Guild, bidding his farewells as he decided to explore the world.

Jezune wandered for two years, eventually making his way to Ul'dah, where he quickly enrolled in the Gladiator's Guild, learning the art of the sword and shield under Mylla, the Guildmaster. He spent a shorter amount of time here, training for two years at the most. He eventually dropped his status as a Gladiator here.

Recent Events

Recently, Jezune found his way into an odd group of people known as the Sigil of the Seven, led by the rough-and-tumble woman Lepide Darkmoon. He often found himself at odds with Lepide, who thought his antics under the alias "The Azure Star" to be at the very least trite, and at the worst annoying and stupid. He found himself intrigued by her, and they eventually became involved romantically. However, one day she disappeared, leaving the Sigil of the Seven to crumble in her absence, and Jezune found himself distraught.

AFter Lepide's disappearance and the disbanding of the Sigil, he spent a brief period of time working under the Coral Sea company, meeting Jancis Milburga there. Afterwards, still troubled by the disappearance of his beloved, he made a journey to the Coerthas Central Highlands, where he trained in the art of the lance once more, forgoing a warm bed to sleep in frigid caves every night. He assisted the Observatorium nearby with monster problems, taking any opportunity he could to watch the Ishgardian dragoons fight.

After a few months, he returned to Ul'dah, where he moved into the care of the Rendezvous Host Club, taking a spot there as a host in exchange for a home. Very recently he entered a Grindstone tournament, where he fought with an unnatural fervor, making it all the way to the end of the Grindstone tournament before being defeated in the final round. He could barely stand in the end, having fought without seeing a healer.
