Biographical

Name

Full Name: V'khrr Tia

Goes By: Kerr V'yen

Nicknames: NA (none yet)

Origins: V'khrr Tia was the name given to him by his late mother. However, when circumstances caused him to abandon his former life, he chose to shorten that to simply Kerr. For the purpose of paperwork, he took up his mother's name as his surname as well, in honor of her brief life and the sacrifices she made.

Skills

Piracy: Brought up around pirates, Kerr specialized primarily in combat roles, as opposed to magic.

  • The Blade: Kerr prefers single-handed blades, specializing in small throwing knives and daggers as they lend themselves well to his acrobatic fighting style. He keeps several on his person at any time and often sleeps with a blade under his pillow.
  • Hand to Hand: During his time spent in Ul’dah, he learned there was more finesse in close quarters combat than simply smashing one’s fist into an opponent’s face.
  • Thievery: Once, Kerr was a skilled pickpocket, lock picker, and all around thief. While he still maintains these abilities, he often uses them more wisely than in his youth.

Knowledge: He has very little in the way of book-learning. Having lived under the tutelage of thugs and pirates until he was eighteen, most of Kerr’s talents lay with street smarts and the workings of a ship at sea. He was an adept pick pocket and thief before fleeing Limsa Lominsa and will still employ these skills on occasion. Kerr is almost completely illiterate, though he hides it well. All of his gains in worldly knowledge happened within the last five years. He is not one to sit down with a book for hours on end, preferring much more physical pursuits. While he won’t readily admit to it, he will settle in for a good story if it is being read or recounted to him instead.

Weaknesses:

Quirks: Unbeknown to most, he has a love of unusual music. Music from the beast tribes, goblins, even other countries.

Friends

  • Avenio Naemig: Kerr's current lover, though circumstances have kept them apart for some moons. He regards Aven as one of the most important people in his life; the only person he has told his real name to in five years. Kerr consistently wears a strip of leather around his throat, a gift from when Aven had dabbled in leather working.
  • Haruki Aoyuki: A hired bodyguard Kerr met on the streets of Limsa Lominsa after a brawl in an alley. As Ao's mistress tended his wounds, the two struck up a fast friendship and have kept in touch ever since. Ao is someone Kerr finds trustworthy and safe, relying on the other man at times to provide a safe haven where Kerr is able to relax. Recently, he has been crashing in Ao's new house in the Goblet.
  • U'tano_Kazhe: A strange, somewhat sweet girl that has adopted Kerr as a role model. He tends to regard her like a younger sibling, with plenty of fond exasperation.
  • M'dhori Rhea: Another strange girl; a companion of U'tano's. Kerr finds her completely baffling, as she tends to ramble on about aether related issues.
  • Keroa Mosuke: A female Keeper Kerr met through Ao when he came to visit him at his home. It is a tentative acquaintance, as they have only met once, but Kerr finds several similarities between them.
