Born Niamh Blew, Niamh was given her name by her mother.  Being the first born, Niamh's mother chose the name to proclaim the bright future the family would have.  Niamh translated to English means "Bright" or "Radiant".  Niamh's father did not appreciate the change in lifestyle Niamh's birth brought.  Being a scholar, he was weary of the chaos children caused.  As such, Niamh was primarily raised by her mother and assumed most of her personality traits.  Mirna was born when Niamh was six cycles old and just entering the Studium.

Niamh chose to specialize in her mother's profession (Sharlayan Astromancy) at the Studium.  She dedicated all of her free time to improving her connection to the heavens.  Just before her graduation, Niamh's mother was killed while on a diplomatic mission to an undisclosed nation.  The Forum suppressed all information relating to the mission and the events of Maedb's death.  Niamh's father was crushed by the loss, and Niamh assumed the role of comforting and caring for her father.  At the age of 19 cycles, Niamh's Professor sent her on a two cycle mission to observe the cultures of Eorzea.  During her time in Eorzea, Niamh would hear recounts of actions of the Circle of Knowing and their devotion to preventing a dark prophecy from falling on Eorzea.</spoiler>

Niamh returned from her mission with a new outlook on the world.  She resumed care of her father, but struggled to bond with him.  Her sister, Mirna, graduated the Studium and returned home spouting Bibliothec ideals.  Niamh tried to share her experiences in Eorzea with her sister to convince her of the faults in Bibliothec logic.  Mirna refused to listen, zealously stuck on desire to become a politician.</spoiler>

Having been exposed to information about the Circle of Knowing, Niamh was upset that the Sharlayan's had chose to retreat from Eorzea knowing that the Calamity was coming.  The values taught by her mother compelled Niamh to action.  Her sister and father were against her leaving.  Her sister was against it for fear it would tarnish the family name and worsen her relations with the Bibliothec.  Her father protested because Niamh had been his primary care giver for the last five cycles.  Attempting to conceal her heritage, Niamh joined the Twin Ader as a non-aetheric combat medic to provide succor to the victims of the Calamity.  Through her exposure to the victims and participants in the Battle of Carteneau, Niamh began developing Survivor Guilt being from Sharlayan.  Four cycles in to her service, her father passed away.  She was unable to return home for his services.  Niamh's symptoms of Survivor Guilt magnified as she blamed herself for her father's death, chosing Eorzea over his care.</spoiler>

The Twin Adder eventually discovered and confirmed her depression, for which she was promptly discharged.  Niamh then sought employment with a Free Company.  After getting injured on a Free Company mission, Niamh was nursed to recovery by [[Elawyn Winddancer]].  Captivated by Elawyn's beauty and compassion, Niamh sought a romantic relationship with Elawyn.  Niamh wrote a letter to her sister to inform her of the changes in her life and ask Mirna to meet Elawyn.  Weeks after, Niamh is chased in to the Beaconhill Lighthouse by two unidentified males.  When Niamh exited the lighthouse, she saw the body of one of the males, the dead body of her sister, some members of the Free Company, and Elawyn unconscious on the stairs.  The events of what happened have not been explained to Niamh, other than Elawyn admitting to striking a mortal wound to Mirna.  After Elawyn proposes, Niamh decides to cast away her old life.  Niamh receives Elawyn's blessing to take the Winddancer name.  Niamh and Elawyn get married at the Sanctum through the Ceremony of Eternal Bonding. </spoiler>

Niamh continues building her new life, learning new crafts and skills.  One night, leaving the Weaver's guild, Niamh is confronted by an armored man who is seeking a lost individual that had been under his protection.  Through his description, Niamh realizes the man is searching for Mirna.  Through her reactions, the man identifies Niamh.  The armored man aggressively questions, then attacks Niamh.  Niamh is forced to kill the man to escape.  While picking up her dropped dagger, she noticed and retrieved a glimmering stone next to the man's body.  Afraid of further retribution, Niamh sought the help of "the old woman in the cave" that her mother had told her of.  In exchange for her mother's prized star globe, the old woman agreed to help Niamh escape anyone that would pursue Niamh Blew.  The old woman sent Niamh in to the aether current and her next memory was standing at the Aetheryte Plaze in New Gridania.  Her first thought was to seek out Elawyn, who helped her discover that she had arrived 'different'.  Wishing to maintain anonymity, Niamh changed her name to Lirianne. </spoiler>

ಌ OOC NOTES ಌ

OOC INFORMATION

Player Note
I am a novice RP'r. However, I acknowledge and respect the OOC / IC boundary. I RP to have fun and exercise my imagination.
Personal RP Limits
Being novice, my limits are few as to afford opportunity to grow as a Roleplayer
I will play: Anything not described below
I won't play: Permanent Death, permanent disfigurement, rape, ERP heavy plots, plots not related to the FFXIV universe, anything against the FFXIV EULA
Disclaimer
I'm novice, I will make mistakes. Constructive criticism is OK, just don't be a dick about it
Lirianne is the character I began RP in FFXIV with. Mistakes were made and lessons learned.
Character Lore Adherence
I attempt to stick to the lore I know, but am willing to bend to make things work. Having fun and enjoying the story is more important to me than making sure every minute detail is lore adherent
