Character

General

The adopted son of an Ala Mhigan couple, Jin was found in the snowy peaks by Ragnar Eisenberg. When Ala Mhigo fell to the Empire, Jin went into hiding with his mother where she taught him the ways of the monk. After his mother's death Jin headed towards the City of Ul'dah to find his way in the world. He's been residing there ever since.

Appearance

Jin is tall as far as seekers of the sun go. His long, jet black hair is accented by light brown tips at the end. His skin if fairly tan and his eyes resemble that of deep emeralds. He has a toned athletic build. His lengthy black tail resembles that of a confidant lion, which reflects how he carries himself.

Jin garbs himself in the traditional yellow robes of the Ala Mhigan monks for functionality in combat and to remember where he comes from. Upon close inspection, one can see minor mends in the robes which Jin repaired himself.

Personality

Jin is a quite fellow but it by no means shy. He believes that actions speak louder than words and would much rather see someone prove their worth as oppose to talk about it. He's a friendly and carefree guy.

Lon'qu enjoys hand-to-hand sparring with others regardless of his opponent's skill. If his foe is stronger it gives him room to improve and gauge his own strength while a weaker opponent offer's him the chance to help them improve. When a battle looks like it will become too grand Jin will often lose his focus and jump into the fray to see how many foes he can best regardless of personal safety.

His only other love besides a good scrap is coin. His skill with a needle and thread have helped him earn a steady living wage in Ul'dah. However, he is always looking for new way to expand his gil earning potential.

Combat

General

Having studied under his mother who was a monk of Ala Mhigo, Jin employs the same stances and styles of the Fist of Rhalgr. He uses fast and precise strikes to whittle down and disable his opponents by attacking chakra points. In contrast to his highlander teachers, the young miqo'te favors speed and agility over brute force. Jin was always taught that when you fight, you fight to win. To him everything is allowed when he's engaged in a battle. He doesn't care for those who hold back in a fight because he believes one should always use their full potential.

History

Lost in the Mountains

Amidst the snowy mountain woods of the Gyr Abania Highlands, a small crying miqo'te baby lay there wrapped in a blanket. If it wasn't for a highlander boy named Ragnar, Jin would have died that day. Ragnar took Jin back to his parents were the couple adopted the infant. The cold had weakened the babe and his new parents were unsure Jin would last more than a few nights. Hours turned into days and days into weeks, and the tenacious infant continued to draw breath, growing stronger with each passing day. It quickly became clear that Jin would survive and the Highlander family decided to raise him as their own, a second son. Jin's new mother spent the most time with the child, Ragnar and his father spent most their days training with axes or working the small family forge.
