History

Lyriah's childhood and her upbringing were both simple and humble. Her father was a bard who prided himself on his travels and the stories that he had acquired for various countries, all in which he would share with his daughter and to listeners for a few gil. Her mother however came from better roots, having been raised in both Gridania and her family belonging to a long line of prosperous merchants. She was raised with a knowledge of all forms of cultures while also being constantly formed into a proper lady. However all that changed when her mother passed away from illness and her father's health deteriorated soon after unable to cope with the loss of his wife. Lyriah was left on her own and took the next step to follow her dream of exploring much like her father before her. On her adventures she found a number of employments which aided her in funds as well as gained several friends who were very much like family to her. After a few years and dedicated service to the Maelstrom, the calamity occurred that forced her into hiding and she sought hermitage high in the mountains believing everyone she cared for dead. Five years later she continues to live in her makeshift cabin, not knowing what goes on in the world around her.

Personality

While at first Lyriah was trusting, she learned the hard way that trust had to be earned. In that regard she keeps her distance anymore and may come across as cold when first approached. Once accepted as a well known acquaintance or even a friend it would soon become obvious that her guard would be down and even welcoming. Despite such she would do anything to help a friend out regardless of the circumstance and would eagerly follow people into battle if the cause was good.

Employment

Lyriah has been employed with the former Sanctus Refero and Nebulous Logistics Firm but as of current she has been self sufficient and has had no drive to become employed as of yet.

Friends

Alona Rhys: She met Alona when the leader was working through a crisis. She respects Alona and is willing to lay down her life in her defense no matter what the charge would be. She views her as a strong woman who takes on too much at points, as a result Lyriah tries to help her with burdens without hurting her pride. Alona is often considered a sisterly figure to Lyriah.

Sterne Evans: Third in Command with Sanctus Refero and an odd, easy going man. Lyriah met him under the same circumstances that she met Alona, and then spoke again soon after at the Guards' Banquet. He was also a friend of Yurick's when they were younger. Lyriah feels his easy going nature is refreshing and makes all tense atmospheres dissipate.

Galvadan Edgecrusher: A dedicated Elezen who is blood bonded to his "sister" Alona. Lyriah met him during a stress filled moment in which he extended an offer to help her. His kind words and advice helped ease the tension and they soon after grew to know each other. They were once engaged but due to a series of events they broke their relationship.

Aysun Demiir: Like most cases as of recent events, Lyriah met Aysun through her employment with Sanctus Refero. At first she didn't know how to view Aysun, but she soon learned that the Miqote's quick wit and bluntness made her an interesting comrade and friend.

Tyonis Magstrom: This over-excited, perverted, and crude man has some how magically grabbed Lyriah's attention as a older brother figure in her life. He is generally drunk in most instances but he showed his rare moments of his loyalty to his city, friends and loved ones. He's currently a Private with the SultanSworn.

Meiarin Beail: This little lalafel, though mischevious, helped Lyriah out of a situation and thus she feels she owes the little one her life. The lalafel herself is relatively young but her intentions for those around her are much more mature than most can sense first off.

Navei Asue: A former co-worker and her former boss, Navei outstretched a kind hand whenever situations got hard for Lyriah. She valued him for his opinion and devotion to what he's passionate about and has earned a place as her 'brother' figure. Despite such he was last known to be dead which left a big void.

Sasha Alier: Navei's once girlfriend and co-worker with Nebulous, Lyriah hadn't spoken to Sasha much except for rare occasions, but each time such an occasion were to occur, Lyriah always found Sasha to be a gentle and kind elezen that did her best to keep Navei in check.

These were only a few of the many friends known to Lyriah in her time.
