Personality

Meriel is very shy towards strangers, she would get too nervous to open a conversation even if her life depended on it, thankfully that didn't happen...yet. Her being raised in the church and her brother being over protective of her is one of the main reasons, but over all when she finally gets used to someone, Meriel shows to be very friendly and sometimes humorous with a bit too much curiosity.

while she looks like the fragile little girl, she's a completely different person while fighting, she is quite confident of her skills, it might seem uncharacteristic, but she had a good teacher, someone who she, over the years, admired and looked up to, it would be unfair to her (said teacher) if she didn't believe, although she has so much to learn about fighting tactics, and reading her surroundings better, Meriel can pull her own weight in a fight.

Mariel's only family, who's been missing and presumed dead for four years, after mourning his death, Meriel picked up chatter that someone with the same description as her brother has been running off with raiders...

she couldn't shake the feeling that it is her brother, so she left the church in Drybone heading to the city in search of him..little did she know that cities are usually packed with people from every region..especially since its Ul'dah

• Raikemi Maira- A woman Meriel met in the quicksands when she first arrived, Raikemi was kind enough to offer her assistance in her quest of finding her brother saying she's an investigator of some sort, but ever since Meriel joined the Roots company she haven't had time to go to the quicksands to meet again as they agreed to do.
• Rufus Miller- "The knight in shining armor" as Raikemi called him, he also offered his help to Raikemi and Meriel when he accidentally heard them talking about raiders, He and Raikemi suited each other which Meriel found them cute to watch.

They didn't meet in a long time, much has happened since they last met, Meriel would love to meet him again...probably to show off her new self, and how much she's grown.

She doesn't have many friends to be given a nickname. Some people at the church used to call her Merie though..

Meriel is living in the city of Ul'dah in hopes of finding leads of her brother.

Teen Years

Meriel has been living in the church near Drybone for as long as she could remember, she does not know who her parents are, and how did she and her brother end up living there, she never asked, and her brother never showed any intent into telling her the story, his only words for her were "We have to stick together, Meriel, No matter what..".
