General
Meriell Bell, but usually going simply as Mell, is a Lominsan barmaid employed at the Bismarck but recently moved to Thanalan to perfect her skills, but due to location issues and not finding the job she had expected, she travelled to the Shroud and found employment in the Alder Springs in their inn called the Bobbing Cork where she can be found on a daily basis.
Cheery and kind to everyone, she is the soul and life of any party or gathering, genuinely wanting to make sure that everyone has a good time and that no one gets ignored or bored. She can be found everywhere at the same time as she just cannot stay put and will be moving nonstop. Due to her hyper activity, it’s not uncommon to see her switching topics at random, as if unable to just stay on one or focus on a single thing. She is fully aware of that but doesn’t seem to be bothered, although not the same can be said about others.
Hard worker and dedicated she is often seen working afterhours and just making sure the customers are all tended to and satisfied with the service which earned her a very good reputation in her community.
Personality
Anyone can tell that Meriell is a bundle of joy and limitless energy that just never runs out.
Cheery and out-going, she has an easy time befriending anyone that crosses her path, unless they simply refuse to be friends with her. To her, everyone is a friend and an ally, and she’d never turn anyone down. Too quick to trust however, she often gets into trouble for trusting such individuals too quick but it never put her off or made her learn her lesson; she still continues talking to strangers despite getting burnt in the past.
She is a very energetic girl who appears to never run out of fuel and will be all over the place, needing to know everything and be everywhere at the same time. Talking in one spot and then suddenly found on the other side engaging in conversation with other people. She enjoys talking and meeting new people and her open personality allows her that easily. A fan of fun and games, she’d always find some way to get peoples’ interest and keep them entertained, feeling as if it is almost her duty to be certain all people are engaged somehow.
Perhaps seen as naïve, and young, but there is more than meets the eye with the woman. She is definitely not thoughtless and can analyze a situation very well and by casual talk, she gets out information from people easily without them even noticing. They often don’t see her as a threat or anyone of great matter that can cause them issues. Her smile and cheery nature seem to easily fool many.

Appearance
Meriell is one of the highest of her kind, standing at a full 170cm. She is of a slender build and doesn’t have much muscle to show for apart from her lean figure which is clearly healthy. She does have, however, a very good endurance and powerful legs thanks to being an entertainer for a few years. She does enjoy creative activities and sports and it helps her build up her stamina.
Thick chocolate covered hair reaching her shoulders in a convenient and comfortable length, she does give off the image of a young girl with a playful attitude; and big sky blue eyes that stand out and appear to have a spark of mischief. She has a very slightly sun-kissed complexion thanks to working outdoors for extended periods of time. On her chin, she sports a small beauty mark. However, she isn’t one for makeup and wears absolutely none of it.
For clothing, she enjoys bright and warm colours, going from sunny oranges to deep reds and even vibrant pinks. Not shy to show skin but still rather modest, she often wears skirts but accompanied by very thigh-high boots and long sleeve shirts. She does enjoy jewelry and often wears earrings of some pendants just to adorn her plain clothes and add more flare to them.
When speaking, she speaks perfect Eorzean however, when very relaxed, it is not uncommon to hear her thick Lominsan accent. She would forget to pronounce correctly as expected and just go back to her roots and speak much more casual with her close ones when she is truly at ease.

Occupation
Meriell worked at the Bismarck back in Limsa Lominsa for a few years as a waitress and wannabe cook, very often observing the cooks in the kitchen and offering help whenever they were short on staff. She was very helpful and always available to come in whenever help was needed and she gladly offered it.
Truly liked by other employees and customers, she was the apple in the eye for many and she appeared to enjoy being able to give people a pleasant stay while they dinned out. However, despite her popularity, she was moved to Thanalan by her employer, saying that it was for her to gain more experience in a more unfriendly environment. Things did not go too smoothly and with some help, she travelled to the Shroud where she found work in an inn and restaurant, called The Bobbing Cork, in Alder Springs. Overjoyed, she works every single day there and was offered a room to stay in during her employment there.
Every now and then she enjoys hosting some small events to gather more potential customers as well as just adding more life to the place. She’d often host small dances or even more grand spectacles including magic or other tricks just to keep people interested. Often, she’d be one of the entertainers, usually that being dancing or some small help to the actual performers.

A shy and timid Lalafell that Meriell met the moment she landed in Ul'dah and approached him by asking for directions. Although shy, he did help her out and the two quickly became good friends over the length of the day. Offering her advice and having her back, she quickly grew to appreciate his kind, although few, words. He showed her Gridania, explaining that it was a much better place than Thanalan and she took his words to heart and started to seek employment there, which she did find and on the next day they met again. After a nice evening and some bonding, the Lalafell asked her out. Shocked but not disapproving at all, she accepted immediately and the two started dating despite the few days that they knew each other. Meriell adores him and almost sees it as her duty to protect him and to put a smile on his face every day, wanting to help him vanquish the shyness. . She had never met anyone as kind as him and genuinely cares for the lad. Many would say that he is too shy and impossible to deal with due to that, but she sees it as something endearing and charming, a trait found in very few people.
