Character

General

Appearance

Diminuitive even by Miqo'te standards, Nhia is often mistaken for a child much to her irritation. Her hair and fur is thick in texture and black with deep vermilion highlights. Her face retains a certain softness which again suggests she is younger than her years, heartshaped and pale complexioned. Her eyes are large and silvery, framed by thick lashes and giving her an expression of almost constant curiosity. Nhia possesses a somewhat curvaceous figure which depending on mood she tries to disguise or flaunts in an attempt to look more mature although anybody commenting upon said figure will inevitably reduce the poor thing into a crimson pile of stuttering nonsense. Her dress sense can best be described as eclectic. She has a magpie like fascination with bright colours and shiny things and an unhealthy attachment to the colour pink.

Personality

Sheltered by life in the Shroud for most of her nineteen years, Nhia is curious about most subjects and lacks both decorum and a sense of preservation at times. She is extremely sociable and dislikes being alone with her thoughts. She is hot-tempered and prone to get into heated debates on subjects she barely understands although she is never deliberately rude or combative. Despite this she can also be extremely shy and embarrassed by certain subjects, most notably sexual references and anything that draws attention to her relative lack of life-experience. She is tactile with friends and strangers alike though far more so with females than males, often enveloping near strangers in hugs or playing with their hair. She has little concept of personal space and will react with confusion if this is brought to her attention.

Combat

Nhia prefers to flee at the first sign of trouble, usually after throwing an impromptu projectile at whatever or whoever was troubling her. Growing up in the Shroud she is trained in the use of a bow and has received some training in Conjury so in a pinch can resort to flinging pebbles at her persecutors. She has some limited knowledge of aetherical healing and in addition likes to create her own salves and ointments. She attributes their odd smells to traditional Shroud techniques and believes their efficacy is in direct correlation with their pungency.

Relationships

Family

Nhia is the oldest of 6 sisters from a small clan in the Shroud. Resolutely ordinary in the company of more brilliant siblings she has developed a series of masks she wears in company. She is in training to become the future Matriarch of her clan, a prospect that fills her with utter terror.

Friends

Raih'a Deshran: Her childhood friend/mate. She has known him for most of her life and despite her protestations to the contrary, would probably be even more awkward in his absence.

Valirelia Ferox: She finds the woman interesting and looks up to her in more ways than one.

Kyrio Lamansque: They met when he gave her and Raih'a a tour of Ul'dah. That he appreciates her hugs makes him one of her closest friends by default.

Anybody else she can persuade to stop and talk to her for more than five minutes.

Enemies

None, yet.

Rumors

Common Rumors

  • Girl hasn't got the sense given a flea. I swear, I saw her trying to eavesdrop on people by hiding under a chair. That was -occupied- : Quicksand Patron
  • Worst mark in Ul'dah. All she seems to carry are feathers! : Well known and pretty inept Ul'dahn pickpocket

Moderate Rumors

Rare Rumors

  • She dropped one of those books she always has her nose in. I'll tell you what, the cover might have looked all fancy but the contents? Pure filth! And badly written filth at that! : Another random Quicksand Patron. Who was probably drunk. And thus mistaken.

PC Rumors

History/Timeline

Nhia lived an isolated existence in the Shroud for the first eighteen years of her life. Even the Calamity passing her by but for rumours carried by the few merchants who encountered her reclusive clan. With each successive child born to her mother soon eclipsing Nhia in both talent and personality, the girl to an extent was left to raise herself which probably explains her limited social skills. She made a friend of a distant clan-relative not too much older than herself, Raih'a Deshran, more by his near narcolepsy preventing him from fleeing her incessant chatter. A lifetime of loneliness will after all make talking to a sleeping Miqo'te preferable to talking to a tree. She developed a love/hate relationship with the Shroud and was overjoyed to learn that upon taking Raih'a as a mate she would be sent to explore and hone her social skills Since travelling first to Limsa Lominsa and now Ul'dah she is seeking to acclimatize herself to a very different culture and is trying to immerse herself into all facets of her new life.
