Weight: 124 ponze
Age: Early twenties
Eye Colour: Light blue
Hair/Fur Colour: Black

Handedness: Ambidextrous, favours right.

Tribe: None, previously Raptor.

Descriptive Appearance

R'das stands a few ilms above most of her kin. Like many other Miqo'te, a fit lifestyle has left her with a lithe build. Though out of practice, she is fit enough to hold her own in a fight, and capable of contesting physically with all but properly trained soldiers.
This isn't to say that she has bulging muscles, her skin is relatively smooth when she is relaxed, and only really when she exerts herself are her muscles more observable, tensed under bronzed flesh.

Her somewhat dark skin is a result of many years in the hot Thanalan sun. She bears a thoroughly bronzed complexion, and is surprisingly resilient to the heat of the desert clime. Adversely, her abilities are hindered in colder areas; even La Noscea and the Shroud will give the desert cat shivers if the wind blows her way.

Writ upon her body are various tribal markings from her past. These markings mostly cover her face and back, trailing down her spine to the base of her tail. She also has markings painted onto her collar, connecting those on her face to her back. The patterns are painted in a dark orange, though they have faded over time, some almost indistinguishable from the flesh they mark. Evidently, R'das does not care for their upkeep and seems content to ignore them and any meaning they may once have held.

She wears her hair short, to keep it out of her eyes and forge, and threaded through two silver bangles that hang off the side of her head. Her hair is well-kept, washed thoroughly at semi-regular intervals. Equally, the fur on her ears and tail are attended to with the same level of care.

R'das washes regularly. The scent of cinnamon is quite prevalent around her, even after a long day in her workshop, where the cinnamon is accompanied by the smell of hot metal and sweat.

Temperament

R'das is an incredibly laid back individual, most of the time. One could call her lazy, and would be entirely correct. In fact, while Miqo'te are as similar to cats as Lalafell are to root vegetables, R'das could very easily pass off for a domestic housecat. With the cat-like laziness, comes the popular feline attitude. 'Das does not tolerate fools. She will openly mock stupidity with vast reserves of dry sarcasm, and toy with slower individuals by seeing what she can get away with in the conversation. Oftentimes this leads to her testing people's gullibility and ability to hold to a single topic of conversation by diverging in wildly different directions

When R'das chooses to be serious, however, she is a remarkably stoic individual. Despite being an Ul'dahn at heart, she can be selfless for those she cares for, few and far between those may be. She is fiercely loyal to her friends, often rising to their defence, even if she was the one who landed them in a situation to begin with.

R'das has a heavy accent, a frankly horrible amalgamation of Ul'dahn sark and Limsan pronunciation. The Ul'dahn influence is relatively obvious, and the Limsan elements R'das blames the Roegadyn Captain Ceigbroda for, though more likely her common deals with the Yellowjackets are more to blame.

Skypirate

One of R'das' first paying jobs was given to her some time after she left the Raptor Tribe. A crew of skypirates aboard an airship by the name of the Iron Crowe offered her passage to Thanalan in exchange for her smithing services. Orignally, she was supposed to depart after the crew arrived in Ul'dah, however she grew attached to the crew, and the ship. R'das remained as a crewman of the Iron Crow for several years.

Smithing

Officially, R'das works as an independent blacksmith who specialises in firearms. She has a workshop in the Ul'dahn town of Horizon where she makes guns to ship across the sea from Vesper Bay to the Yellowjackets in Limsa Lominsa. She also sells firearms locally, though the price of such equipment is usually very high, as she also provides instruction in the proper handling and usage of firearms. Such knowledge is not cheap.
R'das used to source her materials from Copperbell Mines, though recently with the Hecatoncheir uprising and the mine falling into a state of disrepair she has had to outsource materials from the Nanawa Mines in the northern reaches of Thanalan.

Engineering

Unofficially, R'das is also a tinkerer of sorts. Alongside her weapons she creates wondrous devices based on both Eorzean, Allagan and Garlean magitek. Her workshop is decorated with curios from all corners of Eorzea: aether valves from the ruined lighthouse of Pharos Sirius, magitek vanguard and reaper scraps from Raubahn's Push, broken scraps of Allagan machinery from Agelyss Wise and Carteneau, and many other bits and pieces.
The prize of her collection is a Garlean handgun recovered from Cape Westwind in the aftermath of Operation Archon.

Combat Experience

While in her tribe, R'das had very little experience with weapons, outside of making them. She hunted for a few moons before she was selected to become a blacksmith, and as such she never really developed much aptitude with a bow or spear. Most of R'das' experience comes from her years aboard the Iron Crow, where she learned how to use a scimitar as a member of the crew.

Her talents, however, are best used when she is with firearm in hand, the weapon that endeared the Iron Crow to her in the first place. R'das has spent countless hours with firearms, and has trained herself extensively in the use and maintenance of her own.

Equipment

Garlean Magitek Revolver

The crown jewel of R'das' collection of assorted magitek. This revolver-esque device was found amidst the leftover scrap at Cape Westwind following the events of Operation Archon by the Grand Companies of Eorzea and the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. R'das picked the battlefield for several months in search of magitek devices or materials to take back to her workshop and study.

R'das carries the revolver on her person at all times, worn on her hip in an aldgoat leather holster, and uses it as her primary weapon on the rare occasions she engages in combat. She is a competent marksman, despite the foreign nature of the firearm--a testament to the amount of study and practise she has put towards it.

The firearm is constructed of a dark, heavy metal common to many Garlean devices. The grip consists of a pair of dark wooden slabs, pinned with brass rods to either side of the metal of the gun, which are shaped to provide a comfortable grip.

The cylinder of the weapon is a smooth, unmarked surface, save for a pair of thin blue strips that follow the circumference of the cylinder, one at roughly at quarter-ilm from each end. The strips glow faintly in a pulsating manner, hinting at the weapon's magitek nature. Likewise, two such strips line either side of the barrel, stopping roughly a quarter-ilm from both the end of the barrel and the receiver. The trigger and hammer are forged of a lighter steel-like metal to reduce overall weight. A faded gold design is etched into the gun, covering large sections of the receiver and the barrel. The design doesn't appear to be of any specific image, but rather just embellishment for embellishment's sake.

R'das remains unsure of how the weapon actually functions, and she's too attached to it at this point to risk taking it apart and breaking it. For now she is happy with the knowledge that she pulls the trigger, the hammer cocks and falls and the firearm shoots.

R'das outside the Winds Estate, equipped with her sword and shield, staring awkwardly at Reppu Hijiri.

Quite what the firearm shoots is another matter entirely, however. Whereas most guns that R'das makes shoot either small lead balls or shaped bullets, her revolver appears to house a similar firing mechanism to the magitek cannons of Garlean Reaper units, albeit on a much smaller scale. When the trigger is pulled, the revolver launches a small bright blue projectile comprised of some manner of aether, which strikes the target with a large amount of force before detonating. The 'bullet' is incredibly fast, matching the speed of most conventional ammunition. The blast appears to be unaspected, much like the arcane spellcasts of an Arcanist, and very localised. As such, while the potential for collateral exists, two targets would have to be standing incredibly close to be struck by the same blast.

Darksteel Scimitar

While initially appearing as little more than a standard scimitar, closer inspection would reveal this weapon to be forged from the elusive Darksteel. Forged in typical Aeolian style, this scimitar is one of the finer pieces of 'Das work, and as such is used as her weapon of choice in conjunction with her revolver. The blade is kept in relatively good condition, with very little major edge damage visible, though there is a rather large gouge carved into the flat of the blade. Despite the damage, the metal has been repaired as best as the Seeker has been able to, and still remains a formidable weapon.

Prototype Aetheroelectical Shield

A current work-in-progress designed to compliment R'das' fighting style with a sword in close quarters and replace her revolver in the event that ranged combat becomes too dangerous or cumbersome.

Unlike R'das' revolver, this shield is based heavily on previous Allagan technology, with a few innovations from R'das herself. The shield itself is constructed of Allagan Wootz, a material known for both its strength and its athereoconductive properties. Several aetheroelectrical channels--sometimes known as leylines--are worked into the shield's design. The theory is that by projecting a field of unaspected aether over the surface of the shield, it can be used to block and nullify incoming magical attacks.

Currently R'das is lacking a compact enough power source to power the device, and is looking into procuring more broken or deactivated Allagan technology in the hopes of finding an answer.

Firesand Grenades

Taking a page from the gobbieflock, R'das carries her own brand of fireboom. Ranging from a small leather pouch stuffed to the brim with firesand to a rudimentary shell or metal casing, R'das has a large array of small-scale explosives that she employs. For the most part, the explosives serve as a distraction for her to retreat to safer havens, though a nearby target may find themselves with a series of severe burns and possibly shrapnel wounds.

Some of these peculiar creations are also packed with additional reagents, such as those which produce a cloud of smoke or a blinding flash when detonating.

Carrying such flammable equipment on her person leaves R'das very susceptible to a well-placed fire spell, though she typically does not wear the pouches or cases openly, and most certainly avoids declaring their purpose.
